  • Asia Society Texas Center’s FemFest Houston: Voices of Asia: The Hatmaker’s Wife Virtual Edition | Monday, June 22 to Wednesday, June 24 | FREE – Featuring works by Asian and Asian American women, this series highlights talented women playwrights across the globe. All day.
  • Fight to the Finish – 1945: The Final Year at Lone Star Flight Museum | Tuesday, June 23 to Sunday, June 28 – Explore how Allied forces took to the air to bring an end to World War II in Fight to the Finish – 1945: The Final Year at Lone Star Flight Museum, open for summer and fall 2020. Commemorating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, Lone Star Flight Museum is unveiling their newest exhibit, which dives into the closing months of the war and how Allied forces took to the air to defeat Germany and Japan. Times vary.
  • Free Pet Food Distribution at BARC | Tuesday, June 23 and Friday, June 26 | FREE – Offering free pet food and other supplies (as available), this drive-thru service was set up to assist people who are out of work and struggling during the pandemic. Food and litter will be distributed in gallon-bags or small sample-sized bags in limited quantities. 7:30am.
  • Love & Make’s In-Person DIY Workshops in Rice Village | Daily – Try your hands at making your own candles, fragrances, virtual candle and soap making workshops, and more at the popular headquarters for stylish do-it-yourself crafting and gifting in Rice Village. Times and prices vary.
  • Join a Video Collection Project for $30 | Sign Up Now – Translations.com is seeking participants, who will be paid $30 for their time, to take part in a video collection project in Houston throughout June and July. Participants, who must be 18 years or older to participate, will spend 15 to 30 minutes being filmed to help improve the design and development of AI technologies.
  • Volunteer Shifts: Pride Rainbow Day at Houston Food Bank | Wednesday, June 24 | FREE – Celebrate Pride by volunteering at the Houston Food Bank by wearing your favorite rainbow gear. Choose from the 8am to noon, 1pm to 4pm, or 6pm to 9pm volunteer shifts. Starts at 8am.
  • Community Blood Drive & Free Antibody Testing at The Health Museum | Thursday, June 25 | FREE – The Health Museum in partnership with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center holds a Community Blood Drive to alleviate some of the need created by COVID-19 in the local region at The Health Museum. The community blood drive will take place daily by appointment only and will also offer free antibody testing. You must make an appointment for this event. 10am to 2:30pm.
  • Pride Houston 2020 Virtual & In-Person Events | Thursday, June 25, Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28 – Whether you’d like to show your support for the LGBTQ+ community by learning, raising money for non-profits, enjoying performances, virtual events or by coming together to show solidarity at a rally, we’ve got you covered. Times vary.
  • Comedian Billy Sorrells at Houston Improv | Thursday, June 25 – Known as a recurring cast member of Season 8 and Season 14 of the improv comedy show Wild ‘N Out on MTV and VH1, the Houston-raised comedian Billy Sorrels takes the stage at the Houston Improv. Tickets range from $60 for a table of 2; $120 for a table of 6. 8pm.
  • The Parking Lot Social presents Movie Night: Mamma Mia Movie Screening at Aveva Stadium | Thursday, June 25 – The Parking Lot Social is a touring drive-in experience that packs a bunch of entertainment into a single night out. The Thursday night movie screening will feature the 2008 movie musical that showcased the music of ABBA, Mamma Mia, projected on two massive 40-foot screens. Live DJs will spin tunes before the show. Tickets are $39 per vehicle; $49 VIP per vehicle for a guaranteed parking spot in the first two rows. 8pm to 10:30pm.
  • Discovery Green presents Uncle Jumbo Dance-Along Online | Friday, June 26 | FREE – Sing and dance with Houston-based children’s music-maker Uncle Jumbo at this virtual family-friendly dance party. 10:30am.
  • Fusion 2 at Archway Gallery | Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28 | FREE – Archway Gallery in Montrose is reopening its doors on weekends to showcase its exhibit Fusion 2, featuring new works in wood, metal, and glass by Houston-based artist, Robert L. Straight. The exhibit debuted in May as a virtual display online, but the works can now be viewed in person. Many of the pieces in Fusion 2 were inspired by Straight’s recent trip to Africa. The bright yellows, reds, and blues are an homage to Africa. And, the celestial theme seen in several of the pieces was fostered by the incredible African night sky. Private viewings during the week can also be arranged. 1pm to 5pm daily.
  • Peach Street Night Jams Singer Songwriters Festival in Angleton | Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 – Peach Street Farmers Market presents Peach Street Night Jams, two-nights of live music outdoors in the heart of Angleton, featuring Tammy Rogers, Pricilla Mattos, Dub Miller, Jason James and more. Beer, wine, and food will be available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Tickets are available for one or both nights. Tickets for Friday, June 26, 2020, are $10 general admission; $20 VIP. Tickets for Saturday, June 27, 2020, are $15 general admission; $25 VIP. Tickets for both nights are $20 general admission; $40 VIP. Friday 6pm to 10pm; Saturday 4pm to 10pm.
  • Zack Baker in Concert at Walking Stick Brewing Company | Friday, June 26 – The Oklahoma City-based singer-songwriter, Zack Baker, performs under the trees at Walking Stick Brewing Company in Garden Oaks / Oak Forest. Social Distancing & COVID-19 Precautions Masks are required to enter and move about the brewery. They can be removed when eating, drinking, and when seated at a table. There is no cover for the brewery. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Kate Watson in Concert at the Restaurant & Bar at House of Blues | Friday, June 26 | No Cover – Catch a set from the country-pop singer and American Idol contestant, Kate Watson on The Voodoo Stage at House of Blues. There is no cover, but menu prices vary. 6pm.
  • Johnny Solinger: Skid Row Tribute in Concert at Warehouse Live | Friday, June 26 | FREE – Experience a live Skid Row Tribute by Johnny Solinger along with a Kiss tribute by Kiss Alike and the Motley Crue cover band, The Crue at Warehouse Live. This event is free to attend; $200 for a VIP table. Doors at 6pm; show at 7pm.
  • Johnny Nicholas and Katie Shore in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck | Friday, June 26 – Singer-songwriter Johnny Nicholas takes the stage with fiddle player and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Katie Shore at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. Tickets are $120 for a 4 seat table; $180 for a 6 seat table. 7:30pm.
  • The Parking Lot Social at Aveva Stadium | Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27 – The Parking Lot Social is a touring drive-in experience that packs plenty of entertainment into a single night out. The program includes “Car-a-oke”, a silent disco (broadcasting multiple DJ sets), bingo, themed trivia contests, street food and more. 8pm to 10:30pm both evenings.
  • The Rikkis in Concert at Pacific Yard House in Conroe | Friday, June 26 – Pacific Yard House hosts the return of The Rikkis, a rock cover band comprised of Rikki Bobby, Rikki Nielsen, Rikk E. Carlos, and Rikki Ricardo. Reservations are available for full tables only, which start at $20 for two people and must be reserved in advance. 9pm to midnight.
  • The Parking Lot Social presents Midnight Movies: Jurassic Park Movie Screening at Aveva Stadium | Friday, June 26 – The Parking Lot Social is a touring drive-in experience that packs plenty of entertainment into a single night out. The Friday night midnight movie screening will feature the 1993 film, Jurassic Park (PG), projected on two massive 40-foot screens. Live DJs will spin tunes before the show. Tickets are $39 per vehicle; $49 VIP per vehicle for a guaranteed parking spot in the first two rows. 11:55pm.
  • Urban Harvest Farmers Market on Buffalo Speedway | Saturday, June 27 | No Cover – An inner Loop mainstay, Urban Harvest’s open-air farmers market features more than 70 local vendors and food producers—including Atkinson Farms, Animal Farm, and Pat Greer’s Kitchen—from within 180 miles of Houston. The market also continues to offer a drive-through service for guests who place orders in advance. 8am to 12:30pm.
  • Pride Houston: Equality March & Rally at City Hall | Saturday, June 27 | FREE – March in solidarity with the LGBTQIA community as well as the Black Lives Matter movement when Pride Houston hosts an Equality March and Rally to City Hall in Downtown. All Houstonians and city officials are welcome to join Pride Houston in this rally to show solidarity and incite change. There will be volunteers along the route to pass out healthy snacks, distribute water, encourage the use of and dispense hand sanitizer, as well as handing out free masks for those who may not have one. 9:30am to 3pm.
  • Drag Diva Brunch: Spice Girls at House of Blues | Saturday, June 27 – Enjoy a brunch along with an exciting drag show featuring local queens as Posh, Scary, Ginger, Sporty, and Baby in Wannabe, a Spice Girls tribute show at the Restaurant & Bar at House of Blues. Tickets are $46 per person. Your ticket includes the show, food, and a complimentary signature shot for the mid-show celebratory toast. 10:30am.
  • Market at the MarqE Entertainment Center | Saturday, June 27 | No Cover – The Marq’E Entertainment Center offers a weekly local market experience designed for families, featuring a wide variety of vendors, artisans, and more. The weekly event features live music and kids activities like face painting. Noon to 5pm.
  • Downtown District presents DiverCity Project Livestream on Facebook Live & Instagram | Saturday, June 27 | FREE – Enjoy a free virtual concert from the comfort of your living room presented by the Downtown District of Houston. 1pm to 2pm.
  • Pacific Yard House Summer Music Days at Oil Ranch in Hockley | Saturday, June 27 – Pacific Yard House and Oil Ranch present Summer Music Days, a family-friend afternoon and evening of live music, food trucks, beer, and social distancing fun. There will be several food trucks, along with outdoor bars serving beer, wine, cocktails, margaritas, and piña coladas. Oil Ranch Amusement Park will be open from 11am to 4pm, offering train rides, hay rides, putt-putt golf, kids jumping pillow, pool and more. Yelba will perform from 1pm to 4pm, followed by the full lineup including Cody Hibbard from 5pm to 11pm. Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the gate. 1pm to 11pm.
  • The Derailers in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck | Saturday, June 27 – Hear classic country beats with a ’60s pop sensibility from The Derailers at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. Tickets are $120 for a table of 4; $180 for a table that seats 6. 7:30pm.
  • Garth Brooks: A Drive-In Concert Experience at The Showboat Drive-In | Saturday, June 27 – Country favorite Garth Brooks presents a one-night-only, family-friendly concert experience at more than 300 drive-in theaters around the country. Tickets are $100 each and are good for one passenger car or pickup truck, including up to as many people as there are seat belts in the car (maximum of six people). Show starts at dusk, rain or shine. 8:30pm.
  • Texas Pride Online: A Fundraiser for Texas Organizations via Zoom | Sunday, June 28 – Take part in an online pride celebration that brings together queer communities across the state of Texas to safely celebrate an alternative Pride and raise funds for Texas organizations that care for black, trans, and queer people year-round. Enjoy virtual performances curated by Texas-based LGBTQ collectives including Houston’s own band, Space Kiddettes. You must register for this event. Donations will be accepted. 3pm to 6pm.
  • Whiskey Bent with Slade Ham and Friends at Houston Improv | Sunday, June 28 – Bust a gut when the stand-up comedian, writer, and pilot of Houston’s infamous The Whiskey Brothers, Slade Ham performs with special guests at Houston Improv. Tickets are $30 for a table for two; $90 for a table of six. 7:30pm.
