• Apollo Chamber Players’ 20×2020 Virtual Festival Episode 9: Four Dreams for String Quartet & Episode 10: Andean Suite | Thursday and Sunday | FREE – Episodes 9 and 10 of a twenty-part performance series drop this week, featuring original pieces by composer Christopher Walczak on Thursday; composer and guitarist Javier Farias on Sunday, with a special guest appearance by Karina González from Houston Ballet. 7pm.

• House of Cards at Discovery Green | Daily | FREE – Marvel at the 18-foot tall double-sided House of Cards, sporting custom artwork from 20 Houston-based artists on the Sarofim Picnic Lawn at Discovery Green. The display is open daily, but RSVPs are required for socially distanced viewing from Friday night until Sunday evening. Times vary.
• Houston Restaurant Weeks 2020 Around Greater Houston | Daily – Get your final fix from beloved Houston restaurants as the popular Houston Restaurant Weeks winds down to a close on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. • Houston Center for Contemporary Craft presents Craft Chats: Meta-Formation Tour with Kathryn Hall on Facebook Live | FREE – Listen in for a lunchtime conversation featuring HCCC curator Kathryn Hall as she talks about the current state of blacksmithing, as well as giving an inside look at HCCC’s latest exhibition, Meta-Formation: New Connections in Contemporary Blacksmithing. 1pm to 1:30pm.
• Deeper Dive with Buffalo Bayou Partnership Online Event | FREE – Hear about Buffalo Bayou Park’s upcoming 5th Anniversary during the Deeper Dive virtual series, highlighting upcoming plans, programs and more along the bayou. 1:30pm.

• 2020 Comcast Hispanic Hero Awards: Virtual Celebration Recognizing Eight of Houston’s Finest – Known for his Houston Is Inspired mural, celebrated graffiti artist Mario “Gonzo247” E. Figueroa will be honored along with additional 2020 honorees for Hispanic Heritage Month during the virtual Comcast Hispanic Hero Awards. 9am to 9:30am.
• Pop-Up Outdoor West African Dance Class at Emancipation Park Conservancy – Dance to the traditional rhythms of West Africa with Intuitive African Dance and Drum Culture at a socially distanced dance class at Emancipation Park in Third Ward. $5 per person; free for ages 10 and under. 6pm to 7:30pm.
• Buffalo Bayou Partnership & Houston Audubon present Virtual Birds and Bats, Oh My! on Zoom | FREE – Hear from biologist Diana Foss as she discusses Buffalo Bayou’s 250,000 Mexican free-tailed bats at Waugh Drive Bridge and the importance of these flying friends to our ecosystem. 6:15pm to 7:15pm.
• Insomnia Gallery presents Let It Bleed: An Online Tattoo Art Show on YouTube Live | FREE – Check out tattoo-themed works from local artists at Insomnia Gallery’s online art show featuring pieces entirely dedicated to the skin-based medium. Artwork prices vary. 7pm to 10pm.

• Drive-In Movie Screening of Black Swan at Raven Tower – Catch a drive-in screening of the Oscar-winning thriller, Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman as a ballerina struggling under the pressure of the NY City Ballet company’s production of Swan Lake and losing her grip on reality. $30 per vehicle. 7:15pm and 10pm
• Stages Studio Sessions: An Evening with LaBraska Washington Online Performance | FREE – Delight in a special virtual concert featuring musical theater actor LaBraska Washington of The Fantasticks, in an online performance celebrating music that inspires him. Free with reservation. 7:30pm.
• Friday Night Lights Movie Screening at The Walmart Drive-In Theater in Vidor | FREE – Go long and catch a free movie screening of the beloved 2004 football flick, Friday Night Lights, starring Billy Bob Thornton at a pop-up drive-in theater in front of the Walmart in Vidor on N Main Street. Though free, advance tickets are required and no tickets will be available on-site the day of the movie screening. 7:30pm.
• River Oaks Chamber Orchestra presents ROCO Revelry 8th Annual Virtual Gala – Enjoy an interactive, at-home celebration marking ROCO’s 8th Annual Gala with exclusive access to live performances by ROCO musicians, conversations with artists in real-time, and dinner from area favorites delivered to your door. • The Riot Comedy Show: A Night with Billy D. Washington at Rudyard’s British Pub – Laugh yourself silly when writer, actor, and standup comedian Billy D. • Dancing Days: A Tribute to Led Zeppelin Concert at Rockefeller’s Houston – Get the led out when ’70s rock tribute band, Dancing Days, pay homage to Led Zeppelin at Rockefeller’s on Washington Ave. The Black Rose tribute to the Black Crowes opens the show. Tickets range from $10 to $22.50. 8pm to 11:30pm.
