Marvel at the 18-foot tall House of Cards, presented by Bracewell, looming large on the Sarofim Picnic Lawn at Discovery Green from Saturday, August 29, 2020 through Sunday, October 11, 2020.

The striking structure consists of 126 giant, five-foot tall, double-sided playing cards, many of which sport custom artwork created by 20 Houston-based artists.

By day, the cards’ crisp white lines and vivid images make a powerful impression. But House of Cards comes alive at night, when colorful projected animation creates the illusion of the entire house of cards rising and falling to the music of an original soundtrack.

Timed, free reservations are required for weekend viewing, and social distancing measures will be implemented.

Visitors are invited to share their experiences using the hashtags #HouseOfCards and #DiscoveryGreen.

We have some GOOD news! House of Cards by OGE Group presented by Bracewell will be open to the public beginning on…

About House of Cards

Israeli design studio OGE Group created the House of Cards art installation, commissioned by Discovery Green Conservancy’s Public Art Committee.

Variations of the installation have been displaying s around the world, integrating art and designs that are unique to each local arts community.

Once the Houston exhibit is complete, the cards adorned with the work of Houston artists will continued to be featured in future iterations of the House of Cards all over the world. In its original state, a house of cards is a fragile creation.
