- DASH Spring Market at Silver Street Studios | Thursday to Sunday – The DASH Spring Market (Design-Art-Style-Home) takes over Silver Street Studios for four days. Attendees will have the opportunity to shop more than 80 unique dealers brought together by the DASH founders who travel across the country, with stops at the Las Vegas and Dallas home markets, sourcing the great home décor, furniture, gifts, fashion and more. Tickets to the market are $10. Tickets to the Thursday night preview party are $25. Times vary.
- 65th Annual League City Music Festival & BBQ Cook-off at Walter Hall Park | Thursday to Sunday – The League City Music Festival and BBQ Cook-off brings friends and families together for live music, good food, and lots of fun at Walter Hall Park. Good music will be the focus of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. From nationally-recognized country music artists to an up-and-coming reggae band, the festival will feature music on three stages. Single day tickets are $15; two-day tickets are $25. Friday VIP tickets are $50; Saturday VIP tickets are $75. Times vary per day.
- Latin Wave Film Festival at MFAH | Thursday to Sunday – Returning for its 14th year, the Latin Wave Film Festival, presented by MFAH, hosts a catalog of films that reflect Latin America’s vibrant and acclaimed contemporary cinema landscape. Times vary.
- Cinco de Mayo Events Around Houston | Friday to Sunday – Commemorate Cinco de Mayo 2019 as the fifth approaches with a weekend full of celebrations, cervezas, margaritas, and Mexican food all over the city. Times, prices, and location vary.
- Cinco de Mayo Two Day Partido at Pistolero’s | Saturday and Sunday – Pistolero’s in Montrose hosts a 2-day parking lot Cinco de Mayo celebration filled with margarita specials, mariachi karaoke, giveaways, a DJ and more. Noon both days.
- May the 4th Star Wars Day Events Around Houston | Saturday and Sunday – Get out and show your enthusiasm for Star Wars and the Galaxy Far, Far Away, regardless of age with celebrations, parties, and possibilities across the greater Space City. Times, prices, and location vary.

- The Piano Guys in Concert at Revention Music Center – See the viral sensation musical group, The Piano Guys perform live at Revention Music Center in Downtown. Tickets start at $39. Doors at 7pm; show at 8pm.
- Deerhunter in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Deerhunter, the self-described “ambient punk” group from Atlanta stops by H-Town in support of their eighth studio album released in January, Why Hasn’t Everything Already Disappeared? at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets are $25. 7pm.
- Singo Bingo Wednesdays at Christian’s Tailgate White Oak | No Cover – Get together with friends at Christian’s Tailgate in The Heights to play Singo Bingo for prizes. 7:30pm.

- Whose Live Anyway? Live at Revention Music Center – The current cast members of the Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway? present their new improv tour, Whose Live Anyway? at Revention Music Center. - CSz presents The EaDo Comedy Show – Catch plenty of high-energy characters, fast-paced scenes and personal absurdities in The Eado Comedy Show, CSz Houston’s long-form improv show that draws from the fun East Downtown neighborhood vibe. - Lovett or Leave It: Live on Stage at Cullen Performance Hall – The Pod Save America podcast hits the stage at Cullen Performance Hall to have live, no-nonsense conversations about politics, the press, and presidency. Tickets start at $22. 8pm.
- Joseph in Concert at The Heights Theater – The indie-folk trio from Portland, Joseph performs at The Heights Theater with special guest opener Haley Johnsen. Tickets are $20. 8pm.

- Fashion Friday at Angela Fabbri Pop-Up Gallery in the River Oaks District | FREE – For the month of April, Houston artist Angela Fabbri is hosting the first ever fine art pop-up gallery in River Oaks District, located between Stella McCartney and Harry Winston. This Friday will feature works by Giuseppe Zanotti. 6pm to 8pm.
- Lisa Frank Art Show at Insomnia Gallery | No Cover – Insomnia Gallery in the East End features over 40 local Houston artists paying homage to the queen of color, Lisa Frank with original works. 7pm to 11pm.
- My Favorite Murder Live at Smart Financial Centre – Satisfy your love of true crime content with a live show of the ever-popular podcast, My Favorite Murder, featuring hosts Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark at Smart Financial Centre. - ComedySportz presents Improv! The Musical at CSz Arena – In Improv! The Musical, members of ComedySportz Houston take the stage and come up with the storyline, soundtrack, and choreography of a musical right before your eyes. - Celebr8ion of Babes: HTX Boss Babes Spring Fest at 8th Wonder Brewery | FREE – Browse the wares of more than 80 female-led vendors and women entrepreneurs at an all day market featuring women DJs, food, 8th Wonder brews, photo walls, and more. 11am to 5pm.
- 5th Annual Derby Party at Julep – Julep hosts their 5th Annual Julep Derby Day party that features two screens for the race, lawn games, a spritz bar, mint julep bars, three cocktail bars, a DJ, live music, live auctions for whiskey tastings and more. Tickets are $15. Noon to 7pm.
- Derby Party at Axis & Alibi – Celebrate Derby Day at Axis & Alibi with a variety of drink specials including Mint Juleps, the Oaks Lily, and the Off to the Races cocktails. Guests are encouraged to dress up. 3pm.

- Earl Sweatshirt in Concert at Warehouse Live – The LA-based rapper, Earl Sweatshirt, has been highly touted, especially after his critically acclaimed late-2018 release, Some Rap Songs. The talented emcee tours through Houston with a rap show that shouldn’t be missed. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 the day of the show. 8pm.
- Margarita-Vader: Lost Shaker of Salt Jimmy Buffet Tribute Band at House of Blues – Celebrate Star Wars Day in one of the city’s oddest mash-ups at a show headlined by Jimmy Buffett cover band, Lost Shaker of Salt. Police tribute band Synchronicity III opens. Tickets are $15, but limited comped (you only pay the ticketing fee) tickets are available. 8pm.
- Bombón presents Los Rakas at House of Blues – For Cinco de Mayo weekend, Bombón welcomes band Los Rakas, the Grammy-nominated bilingual Afro-Latino group, for a DJ set at the Foundation Room at House of Blues. Tickets are $10. 9pm.
- Star Wars: Unscripted May the Fourth Special at CSz Houston – Back, for one night only, the fan-favorite Star Wars: Unscripted, comes to CSz Houston. Celebrate May the Fourth as the ComedySportz cast takes audience members’ suggestions to re-imagine Star Wars: A New Hope. Tickets are $14, but limited, discounted $10 tickets are available. 10:30pm.

- Asian Heritage Bus Tour in Southwest Houston – Discover the best cultural, dining, and shopping experiences in Chinatown and Southwest Houston on the Asian Heritage Bus Tour. Meet at the Chinese Community Center for a guided bus tour that will venture around Southwest Houston exploring historical sites, cultural food and demonstrations, and retail shops. Tickets are $55 for ages 10 and up. 10am to 3pm.
- 4th Annual Cinco de Mile Block Party – Going on its 4th year, the Cinco de Mile Block Party on Washington Ave. returns with live entertainment, food, a market, games and more. Participating bars include Clutch Bar Houston, Standard, HandleBar, and more. Tickets are $10 online and $15 at the door. 11am to midnight.
- Cinco de Cyclone’s at Bagby Park in Midtown – At Cinco de Cyclone’s at Bagby Park, expect great food, cold drinks, DJ tunes and live music, a festival market, photo booths, activities for kids and more fun in the sun. General admission is free; VIP tickets are $29. Noon to 8pm.

- Porshe Classic at Houston Polo Club – The final two teams in the tournament final go head-to-head in a doubleheader at Houston Polo Club. At halftime, there will be a Champagne divot stomp, live music, a display of 2019 Porsches, and more. Tickets start at $30 for adults; $15 for children on the Red Oak Lawn; Grandstand seats for 2 to 20 people range from $79 to $695. 5pm.
- Cinco De Derby at The Chandler Residence – Wear your favorite Derby Hat or Sombrero and take part in the Cinco de Derby event with celebrity chef, David Cordua at The Chandler Residence.
