- Sleuths & Secrets Mystery Night at Houston Museum of Natural Science – Gather evidence, untangle a web of riddles and clues, then crack the case at the Houston Museum of Natural Science’s interactive event, Sleuths & Secrets Mystery Night. Tickets are $60 for non-members. 6pm.
- Houston Art Night at Honey Art Cafe | No Cover – Get your creative juices flowing and meet up with other local artists for an evening of drawing, chatting, and drinking at Honey Art Cafe. Mention you are there for Houston Art Night and receive 10% off drinks and desserts. 7pm to 10pm.
- Waltz With Me Wednesday at Goodnight Charlie’s | No Cover – Houston troubadour Jimmy Pizzitola presents an evening of country-inspired waltzes at Goodnight Charlie’s. There will be complimentary waltz lessons starting at 7pm.
- Michael Scott Trivia at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover – Test your knowledge about everyone’s favorite fictional boss from the TV Show, The Office, at Under the Radar Brewery. There will be prizes for the best team name, best Michael Scott costume, and winning trivia team. 7:30pm to 10pm.
- Comedian Natalie Friedman at Houston Improv – Known for her viral impressions of Cardi B and the Kardashians, actress and comedian Natalie Friedman takes the stage for a special weeknight performance at Houston Improv. Tickets range from $25 to $35, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.

- ReelAbilities Film Festival presents ReelMusic at White Oak Music Hall | FREE – Taking place on the event’s final day at White Oak Music Hall, live music fans can check out ReelAbilities Film Festival’s ReelMusic concert. The occasion will mark the closing of the festival with a house band comprised of some of Houston’s top professional musicians joined by artists living with disabilities playing jazz, rock and more. 7pm.
- Mardi Gras Mixer at Houston Museum of Natural Science – Put on your fanciest masquerade mask and grab your beads for the Mixers & Elixirs Mardi Gras party at Houston Museum of Natural Science. There will be a live band, dancing, cash bars, and food trucks. Tickets are $25. 7pm.
- Muscadine Bloodline at Goode Company Armadillo Palace – Country duo Muscadine Bloodline performs in the backyard beer garden at Goode Company Armadillo Palace on Kirby Drive. Ages 21 and up. Tickets are $17 in advance; $19 day of the show. 7pm.
- Houston Dating and Matchmaking at Mongoose Versus Cobra – Singles ages 26 to 38 are invited to mingle with other local singles at this speed dating event at Mongoose Versus Cobra in Midtown. Tickets are $30. 7:30pm.
- CSz presents The EaDo Comedy Show at CSz Arena – Catch plenty of high-energy characters, fast-paced scenes and personal absurdities in The Eado Comedy Show, CSz Houston’s long-form improv show that draws from the fun East Downtown neighborhood vibe. Full price tickets are $10, but limited, discounted $7 tickets are available. 8pm.
- Ian Moore in Concert, with Sue Foley at The Heights Theater – The Heights Theater hosts the Seattle-based, Austin-born guitar player, singer-songwriter, and musician. Canadian blues singer and guitarist Sue Foley joins the show. All ages. Tickets start at $22. 8pm.
- Chastity Belt in Concert at Satellite Houston – The indie rock four-piece, Chastity Belt performs live at Satellite Bar in the East End. Nanami Ozone opens the show. Tickets are $12. 8pm.

- Thrice in Concert at House of Blues – The emo-hardcore rock band, Thrice, performs live at House of Blues for the 15th Anniversary Tour of their record, VHESSIU. Mewithoutyou, Drug Church, and Holy Fawn open the show. Tickets start at $25. 7pm.
- Comedian Hari Kondabolu at The Secret Group – The American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and filmmaker, Hari Kondabolu, swings by The Secret Group for two performances that tackle politics, culture, and race in America. Tickets range from $20 to $25. Performances at 7pm and 9pm.
- Colony House in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The indie-rock quartet, Colony House, hits the stage at White Oak Music Hall for their “Leave What’s Lost Behind Tour”. 7pm.
- Classic Numbers: Every Friday at Numbers Nightclub – Travel back to the ’80s with hits from The Smiths, The Cure, Blondie and more every Friday night at the always-eclectic Numbers Nightclub in Montrose. Cover charge at the door. 9pm.
- Carnaval Mask Party: Brazilian Mardi Gras at Gardenia Reception Hall – Experience the Carnaval Mask Party, a festive evening that mixes the sounds, samba, and feathers of a Brazilian Carnaval with the carefree spirit of Mardi Gras at Gardenia Reception Hall. - 6th Annual Mardi Gras on Main in La Porte | FREE – Make your way to the 6th Annual Mardi Gras on Main, a free, family-friendly street festival at Main Street in La Porte. This free celebration will channel New Orleans with live music, stilt walkers, face painters, a New Orleans-style market, street performers, food trucks, a Beers on Wheels tent and more. 4pm to 9pm.
- National Margarita Day at El Big Bad | No Cover – El Big Bad, the Downtown bar with over 70 infused tequilas, celebrates National Margarita Day with $5 fresh squeezed house margarita specials all day. 4pm.
- Third Annual Women Rock Benefit Concert at Rudyard’s British Pub – This annual fundraiser for Mildred’s Umbrella features acts such as Lazer Kittenz, Quinn the Brain, Julia, Branagan, and Mydolls at Rudyard’s British Pub in Montrose. - Selena Sunday Pop-Up Mercado at Soni Trends | No Cover – “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom” your way over to the East End for a Selena-themed pop-up market featuring local vendors, DJs spinning cumbia, backdrops for photos, giveaways and more. 11am to 4pm.
- Decadent Desserts & Dancing at Neon Boots Dance Hall and Saloon – Enjoy an afternoon of desserts, entertainment, raffles, and boot scootin’ while raising funds for AssistHers, an organization that provides resources and care to vulnerable LGBTQ women. Tickets start at $25. 2pm.
- 6th Anniversary Party at Lei Low Bar | No Cover – The Heights tiki bar, Lei Low, celebrates 6 years of being open with a Mardi Gras-themed party. There will be limited edition tiki mugs for purchase, live music, and DJs spinning. 2pm.
- The Gumbo Jam at Shoeshine Charley’s Big Top Lounge – The Gumbo Jam is a Louisiana-inspired jam session, hosted by Matthew Hartnett, with a serious emphasis on horns and all-things funky and groovy. Singers, rappers, poets, musicians, and horn players join in the loose laid-back vibe of #TeamHornSection and The Gumbo Band. There is plenty of dancing and actual gumbo available to eat.
