- Hot Chocolate 15K/5K at Sam Houston Park | Saturday, February 1 – In two-course lengths, run from the Downtown starting line down Allen Parkway and enjoy sweet stations along the way, a goodie bag of chocolaty goodness, and race swag. Registration is $74 for the 15K; $54 for the 5K. Events begin at 7:15am.
- Houston Rockets vs. New Orleans Pelicans at Toyota Center | Sunday, February 2 – Number-One draft pick Zion Williamson makes his Houston debut against James Harden and the Rockets. Tickets start at $25, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 1pm.
- US Women’s National Team vs. Costa Rica, Panama vs. Haiti at BBVA Stadium | Monday, February 3 – The reigning World Cup champs finish their third day of 2020 Olympics Qualifying with a match against Costa Rica. - Monster Jam at NRG Stadium | Saturday, February 8 and Sunday, February 9 – Monster Mutt, Grave Digger, and a slate of more than a dozen monster trucks line up for two days of pulse-pounding, rip-roaring action on the grounds of NRG Stadium. - Houston Roughnecks vs. Los Angeles Wildcats at TDECU Stadium | Saturday, February 8 – The XFL returns to the gridiron and Houston’s inaugural franchise kicks off the season against the Los Angeles Wildcats in Week One action. - UFC 247: Jon Jones versus Dominick Reyes at Toyota Center | Saturday, February 8 – Back-to-back title bouts headline a UFC return to Houston, as Valentina Shevchenko and Katlyn Chookagian fight for the Women’s Flyweight Title, and Jon Jones defends his Light Heavyweight Title against the unbeaten Dominick Reyes. - Houston Cougars vs. Wichita State Shockers at Fertitta Center | Sunday, February 9 – After toppling the nationally-ranked Shockers on their home court in January, the Coogs host them to fight for seeding position in the upcoming March Madness tournament. - Houston Rockets vs. Utah Jazz at Toyota Center | Sunday, February 9 – With the Western Conference standings shuffling around at the midpoint of the season, this matchup against Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz will take on a bit more significance as the All-Star break nears. - Houston Outlaws: Overwatch League at Revention Music Center | Saturday, February 29 and Sunday, March 1 – Houston’s own professional e-sports team takes to the stage for their first-ever home game with a weekend of Overwatch competition featuring teams from Boston, Paris, London, New York and more. - Houston Cougars vs. UCONN Huskies at Fertitta Center | Saturday, February 29 – In their final home game of the season, the women’s basketball team takes on the historic squad from UCONN that’s eyeing their thirteenth-straight Final Four appearance. - Houston Dynamo vs. Los Angeles Galaxy at BBVA Stadium | Saturday, February 29 – Led by a new coach in Tab Ramos, the Dynamo take to the field for an afternoon season opener against the L.A.
