The closing week’s star performers are Sam Hunt, Gwen Stefani, Khalid, Chris Stapleton, Marshmello, Brad Paisley, and George Strait with Ashley McBryde. - Broadway Across America presents Hamilton at Hobby Center | Tuesday, March 15 to Sunday, March 30 | Final Week – Catch one of the final shows of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s mega-hit. With a score that blends rap, hip-hop, soul and musical theatre standards, this story of Alexander Hamilton is one of an immigrant’s struggle to make it in a new land. A show with energy, power and a multiracial cast, it’s an experience not to be missed. $69 and up, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats on the online resale market. Showtimes vary.
- Trash Panda Express: Trashy Kitchen Pop-Up at Trash Panda Drinking Club | Tuesday, March 15 – Teaming up with the people behind Ninja Ramen on Washington Ave, Trash Panda offers up another edition of its fast food-inspired dining series, this time inspired by Panda Express. 4pm to dishes run out; bar closes at 2am.
- Gang of Four at Warehouse Live | Tuesday, March 15 – The English post punk pioneers visit the EaDo venue to perform songs from their latest release, 2019’s Happy Now, as well as from their deep catalog of tunes. $23 and up. 8pm.
- Houston Rockets vs. Phoenix Suns at Toyota Center | Wednesday, March 16 – Devin Booker leads the reigning Western Conference champs to Houston for a rematch after a close game in February. $8 and up. 7pm.
- Santa Fe Klan & C-Kan at House of Blues | Wednesday, March 16 – The Mexican rappers join forces for a tour that swings them through House of Blues, performing tracks from SFK’s Santa Cumbia, and C-Kan’s Mi Cancion, which were both released last year. $52.50. 8pm.
- St. Patrick’s Day Parties & Celebrations Around Houston | Wednesday, March 16 through Saturday, March 19 – In-person St. Paddy’s Day parties are back for 2022, including a surprise return of Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Festival on the streets around the former bar in EaDo next to PNQ Stadium and beyond. - Disney’s Encanto Movie Screening & Meet-and-Greet at Memorial City | St. Patrick’s Day, Thursday, March 17 | FREE – We don’t talk about earworms, no, no, no. - Holi Festivals & Events Around Greater Houston | Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20 – Holi, the ancient Hindu Festival of Colors, has unsurprisingly become a mid to late March tradition around H-Town. This weekend features three emerging events—the Holi Mela at Telugu Bhavanam, Texas Holi Fest at Railway Heights Market, and Houston Holifest at India House—all leading up to the grandaddy Houston Holi Fest at VPSS Temple next weekend. - Houston Dash vs. Chicago Red Stars at PNC Stadium | Sunday, March 20 – The Dash take the field for the first time in 2022 with the return of the NWSL Challenge Cup. They’ll be battling the Chicago Red Stars, including ex-teammate Kelia Watt, in a rematch of the 2020 Final. $12 and up. 6pm.
- Orange Show After Dark: Robocop 2 & I Come in Peace Movie Screenings at the Orange Show | Friday, March 18 – The iconic Houston space near Gulfgate hosts a double feature screening of two 1990 films shot in Downtown Houston and filled with spectacular explosions and special effects. Members of the films’ effects crew will also be on hand to share behind-the-scenes tales. $5. 8pm.
