• 6th Annual Run the Grove 5K & Kids Fun Run 1K in Timbergrove Manor | Saturday, April 1 – The annual all-ages event weaves from the Heights-area Lorraine Cherry Nature Preserve through the tree-lined streets of Timbergrove Manor and back to Grovechella, a post-race celebration with live music, free beer, food trucks, vendors and kids activities. Advance tickets are sold out; tickets as part of a hospitality package are $495.25 and up. Limited tickets will be made available for fans of competing teams when Semifinals are set. • Ironman 70.3 Texas on Galveston Island | Sunday, April 2 – The Island hosts a slate of triathlon competitors seeking personal bests when they take on a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike route, and a half marathon to top it off.
