  • Toddler Tuesdays at Discovery Green | Tuesday, April 3 | FREE – Grab your little ones and head to Discovery Green park for a morning of fun. Each week will be a different theme. 10:30am to 12:30pm.
  • Teen Council: Music Fest at CAMH | Thursday, April 5 | FREE – Hosted by the CAMH Teen Council, this live music event showcases the budding talents of Houston’s young musicians. 6:30pm.
  • Children’s Story Hour at Hermann Park | Friday, April 6 | FREE – Bring your little ones to listen to a story every Friday morning in the McGovern Centennial Garden’s Family Garden. After the reading, children are invited to participate in a fun activity. 10am to 11am.
  • Child Advocates Light of Hope at Sugar Land Town Square | Friday, April 6 | FREE – Child Advocates of Fort Bend kick off National Child Abuse Prevention Month with their Annual Light of Hope Ceremony at Sugar Land Town Square. This night will be filled with blue balloons, information tables, blue ribbon t-shirts, car magnets, and pins that feature special tributes and live music. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • Healthy Festival Houston 2018 at Discovery Green | Saturday, April 7 | FREE – The 2018 Health Fest at Discovery Green promotes healthy lifestyles for families. This fest features local chefs, athletes, nutrition, wellness, green & eco products, lifestyle and fitness experts. You can also enjoy family-friendly activities, live music and performances, demos, and various vendors. 10am to 6pm.
  • Chalk on the Block at Bagby Park | Saturday, April 7 | FREE – Experience local artists creating pavement art on the sidewalks around Bagby Park. 10am to 2pm.
  • 7th Annual Sabor Del Northside Festival at Castillo Park | Saturday, April 7 | FREE – Celebrate Houston’s Near Northside community with cultural music and dance performances, activities for the kids, local vendors, and a salsa tasting competition at Castillo Park. 11am to 3pm.
  • Doggy Party on the Plaza at CityCentre | Saturday, April 7 | FREE – Bring the whole family to the Doggy Party on the Plaza, a fun-filled day that includes loads of activities, raffles, vendor sales, games, contests, and the Annual Doggy Party “Rescue Me” Parade at CityCentre. Noon to 5pm.
  • Open Studio: Build a Power Medallion at CAMH | Saturday, April 7 | FREE – Build a power medallion to help you harness your inner strength and face the world as your true self at the Contemporary Arts Museum, Houston. This event is inspired by the subjects in the photographs by Sunil Gupta and Charan Singh. 2pm to 4pm.
  • 11th Annual Muddy Trails Bash at Rob Fleming Park | Saturday, April 7 – The 11th Annual Muddy Trails Bash in the Woodlands provides plenty of options for participation from a 5K and 10K trail run to a kids’ one-mile fun run and even a 2K-9 run for you and your pup. Registration is $50 (10K); $45 (5K); $35 for the kids or dogs fun run. 3pm.
