Bonnie Raitt in Concert at The Hobby Center | Wednesday – Give them something to talk about when Raitt—known for her blend of blues, country, R&B, rock and pop—brings her Just Like That… tour to Sarofim Hall. $60.60 and up. 8pm.

Tribute to Louisiana at Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys Restaurants | Daily | Ends Sunday | FREE Drink or Homemade Cookie – Savor Creole and Cajun-inspired flavors with the limited time Tribute to Louisiana menu at both Antone’s locations—in the Greater Heights and near the Galleria. Show this listing when you order and get a free medium fountain drink or homemade cookie with any purchase. Times vary.

Pixar Putt at Discovery Green | Daily – Round up your crew for a day or evening of fun, laughs, and photo ops at the outdoor Pixar-inspired putt putt golf pop-up in the heart of Downtown. The 18 holes are inspired by characters and stories from Pixar favorites like Inside Out 2, Toy Story, Cars, Monsters, Inc., Soul, The Incredibles, Luca, and more. The fun is for all ages, but during Pixar After Dark, starting at 7pm Thursday through Saturday, golfers must all be 18 or older. Up to $30 on weekends. Times vary

Oysters, Brews & Blues at Goode Co. Armadillo Palace | Thursday Revel in a night of live Texas blues by The Mighty Orq, chef-curated Gulf Coast classics, and all around good times under the stars in the Armadillo Palace’s backyard, while savoring coastal dishes cooked over mesquite wood—including smoked boudin links, Gulf redfish, freshly shucked mariculture oysters, and more. Proceeds support the Coastal Conservation Association. $100 includes food and 2 cocktails. 6pm to 9pm.

Mid Main Houston First Thursday Block Party in Midtown | Thursday | Some FREE – Celebrate the dawn of a new month with drink specials, live music, DJs, and discounts from the cool kids in Mid Main. Enjoy the garden party for a $10 wristband for free Saint Arnold brews. 6pm to 10pm.

2024 Buffalo Bayou Partnership Gala: Belonging on the Bayou at The Water Works | Thursday – Enjoy craft cocktails and a seated dinner set against the stunning backdrop of Downtown Houston at the big annual fundraising dinner for the beloved nonprofit that’s reshaping and reimagining one of the city’s most critical waterways. $650 and up. 6:30pm to 10:30pm.

The Whisky X at Lone Star Flight Museum | Thursday Sample from more than 60 premium whisky and whiskey brands and cocktails—the best of bourbon, American, Irish, Scotch, rye, single malt, and more. Plus, expect a cigar lounge, food truck village, and complimentary hair-and-beard trims. $75; $50 early bird; VIP options with early entry available. 7pm to 9pm.

Candlelight: A Tribute to Beyoncé at Majestic Metro | Friday – Soak in a live concert by Range Ensemble String Quartet who’ll be performing classic Queen B songs like “Survivor”, “Crazy in Love”, and “Hold Up” by the glow of candlelight next to Historic Market Square in Downtown. $57.50 and up. 8:45pm.

Rhythm Fest at Warehouse Live Midtown & Numbers Nightclub | Friday & Saturday – The nightlife destinations tag team two nights of live club hits, with Friday performances by Front 242, Man2Man, MicroChip League, Male Tears and Schicks AI in Midtown. On Saturday night, Nitzer Ebb headlines a lineup featuring Psyche, Tassel, and Robotiko Rejekto. $40 and up. 8pm both nights.

71st Annual Gem, Mineral, Jewelry & Fossil Show at Humble Civic Center | Friday to Sunday – Still going strong in its 70s, Houston Gem and Mineral Society’s big show returns to celebrate, showcase, and sell beautiful minerals, fossils, jewelry, gemstones, and other unique finds over three days. Also expect educational exhibitions, kids activities, classes and demonstrations such as lessons on jewelry making, beading, lapidary, and fossil identifications. $12; free for ages 10 and under. Times vary.

Lit with Families 2024 Texas Family Literacy Festival at Discovery Green | Saturday | FREE with RSVP – Help your favorite kids fall in love with reading at a celebration complete with food, prizes, face painting, author meet-and-greets, book giveaways, and more. RSVP required. 10:30am to 6:30pm.

Puptopia Festival at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Saturday | FREE with RSVP – Bring your favorite dog to Fifth Ward for a full day of fun including with a genuine pup playground, a K9 Lounge, dog performances, and more. RSVP includes an individual and up to 2 doggy friends. 11am to 4pm.

IgboFest Houston at Discovery Green | Saturday | FREE – Experience lively West African traditional dances, music, a fashion parade, cultural presentations, and jollof rice at the IgboFest in Downtown. 3pm to 10pm.

Elements IV: Fire—Houston Temple Closing Ceremonial Burning with Lisa E. Harris & the Renegade Carnies | Saturday | FREE with RSVP – Harris concludes her 4-part series set against the backdrop of David Best’s Houston Temple. The performance will conclude with the ritual burning of the temple structure, inspired by the destruction of the temporary structures at Nevada’s Burning Man. 6pm to 10pm.

11th Annual Islamic Arts Festival at University of Houston Main Campus | Saturday & Sunday | FREE – The largest and oldest festival of Islamic arts in the U.S. moves from a suburban location to the heart of Houston for two days art shopping directly from 50 national artists, while enjoying live music, comedy, a film festival, interactive art sessions, ethnic foods for sale, live demonstrations on calligraphy, henna tattoos, ebru, painting, and a variety of children’s art activities. 10:30am to 5:30pm both days.

3rd Annual Fall Festival: Myths & Leyendas at MFAH | Sunday | FREE – The action-packed family festival celebrates legends and folklore from a number of countries and cultures across the Americas, with food, live music, dance performances, and six new large-scale sculptures created by different local Latin artists. 1pm to 5pm.

Houston Texans vs. Detroit Lions at NRG Stadium | Sunday – It’s a Sunday Night Football kind of night as C.J. Stroud and Texans continue to build on their momentum on their home field. $185 and up, but you may find cheaper, better, or hard-to-get seats on the ticket resale market. 7:20pm.

Old 97’s, with Fastball in Concert at The Heights Theater | Sunday – The alt-country band, self-described as “loud folk,” which originated out of Dallas is joined by Austin’s own rock and roll pop harmonic Fastball. $29.50. 8pm.
