Kicking off on National Sandwich Day, the beloved sandwich shop is tipping the proverbial hat to New Orleans and the Pelican State, the origin of the po’ boy sandwich.

For one week only, Antone’s two central Houston sandwich shops will be serving up their mouthwatering takes on legendary Louisianan dining staples.

  • Surf and Turf Po’ Boy
  • Roast Beef with Debris Po’ Boy
  • Crawfish Etouffee
  • Bread Pudding with Rum Sauce
  • Pralines

While developing this menu, Antone’s entire culinary and management team traveled to landmark restaurants and counters in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and the rest of Acadiana, where they consulted with restauranteurs, chefs, and other Creole and Cajun food experts.

The Tribute to Louisiana menu will only be available from National Sandwich Day, Sunday, November 3 through Sunday, November 10, 2024.

More About Antone’s Famous Po’ Boys’ Houston Legacy

Founded in Houston by Jalal Antone back in 1962, Antone’s Famous Po’ Boyssandwiches still reflect the rich culinary traditions of New Orleans.

Today, its menu features a variety of po’ boys, including classic options like shrimp, roast beef, and Italian meats and cheeses, dressed in Antone’s signature Chow Chow Relish—all served on fresh, crusty French bread.

Antone’s is still known for its generous portions and flavorful fillings, often complemented by house-made sauces. It has become a staple in the Houston food scene, drawing both locals and visitors looking for a satisfying, hearty meal.

You can also find Antone’s sandwiches, wrapped in their signature butcher paper, at more than 600 supermarkets and major foodservice venues throughout Texas (the special 365 Houston offer is not available at these locations, only at the two sandwich shops in central Houston).
