This month gives us plenty to be thankful for, including an expanded slate of live shows across town that are worth the price of a ticket.
Along with an exciting list of rappers, legends, and pop artists this month, Houston’s own Travis Scott premieres his first festival in which he headlines and curates the musical lineup at Astroworld Fest.

- Milo, with Kenny Segal, Danny Watts at Super Happy Fun Land | Thursday, November 1 – The independent rapper has had a number of prolific releases this year including his solo effort, Budding Ornithologists are Weary of Tired Analogies, a release as Scallops Hotel, and yet another as one half of Nostrum Grocers. Even with these efforts, Milo has made the decision to retire as a rapper after his final Green Horse for Rap tour that swings through Super Happy Fun Land to kick off the month. Tickets are $10. 8pm.
- Christina Aguilera, with Big Boi at Smart Financial Centre | Thursday, November 1 – Grammy Award-winning superstar and pop icon Christina Aguilera drops by Sugar Land for a concert along with Big Boi, one half of the prolific rap duo Outkast. Tickets start at $29.50, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 8pm.
- Legends of Hip Hop, featuring Juvenile, Scarface, 8 Ball & MJG, Too Short, DJ Quick, and Bun B at NRG Park | Saturday, November 3 – This Legends of Hip Hop concert says it all in the name. From the Cash Money Millionaires to the Geto Boys and Houston’s hometown favorite, Bun B, this show is a who’s who of rappers critical to the scene. - Ed Sheeran, with Snow Patrol, Lauv at Minute Maid Park | Saturday, November 3 – The English singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer, and sometimes actor arrives in Houston for a big show at the home of the ‘Stros. - Dawes at The Heights Theater | Sunday, November 4 – The Los Angeles-based folk-rock band swings by the intimate setting of The Heights Theater. Tickets start at $34.50. 8pm.
- Twenty One Pilots at Toyota Center | Tuesday, November 6 – The duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun have played to sold-out shows across the nation in support of their chart-topping October release, Trench. Tickets for their show start at $125 and are likely to sell out, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- Billy Gibbons, Matt Sorum, & Austin Hanks at Revention Music Center | Friday, November 9 – The “Big Bad Blues Tour” rolls through Houston this month and brings with it Billy Gibbons of the legendary Texas group, ZZ Top. He’ll be joined by Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum and the country-soul artist, Austin Hanks. - of Montreal, with Reptaliens, Wild Moccasins at White Oak Music Hall | Monday, November 12 – The eclectic pop group out of Athens, Georgia stops by Houston for a night of irresistible dancing. Local pop band Wild Moccasins will also be on-hand to provide twinkling rhythms and a dose of unabashed sincerity. Tickets are $20 in advance; $22 day of the show. 7pm.
- Astroworld Festival, featuring Travis Scott at NRG Park | Saturday, November 17 – While no one is quite sure what to expect from Houston rapper Travis Scott’s first curated festival, it’s guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience. From arenas to Saturday Night Live, his visual displays during performances have been elaborate, innovative, and spectacular. With his recent album, Astroworld, going platinum, this looks to be a celebration for all of his rabid fans. - Open Mike Eagle at House of Blues | Saturday, November 17 – The hip-hop artist out of Chicago has been everywhere lately, from releasing and featuring on a long list of rap albums, to hosting his podcast, Secret Skin, and even dropping by for an episode of Houston rapper Fat Tony’s game show, Thrift Haul. Tickets are $17. 7:30pm.
- Blue October, with Kitten at Revention Music Center | Saturday, November 24 – Platinum-recording artists Blue October bring tracks from their new release, I Hope You’re Happy, back to their hometown of Houston. Tickets range from $38 to $168, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 7pm.
- Cannibal Corpse, with Hate Eternal, Harms Way at Warehouse Live | Saturday, November 24 – For thirty years, the American death metal group has been delivering harsh, pounding rhythms and brutal lyrics to hordes of fans across the world. Tickets are $25 in advance; $28 day of show. 8pm.
- Willie Nelson & Family at Smart Financial Centre | Sunday, November 25 – Over six decades, the iconic Willie Nelson has carved a spot in music history with recordings like “Crazy”, “Red Headed Stranger”, and “Stardust”. His newest release, Last Man Standing, is available for each pair of tickets purchased to this show. - Pentatonix at Smart Financial Centre | Monday, November 26 – With three Grammy Awards under their belts, the a cappella group brings a special Christmas-themed performance to Sugar Land. - Gary Clark Jr. at Revention Music Center | Friday, November 30 – Fusing blues, rock, and soul, Gary Clark Jr. has spent the past decade-plus cultivating local audiences in Austin, Texas before expanding to packed shows across the country.
