  • Houston Arboretum & Nature Center presents Home School: Microworlds on Zoom – Shine a light on the world of microscopic organisms as you explore the fascinating world of science and nature from home during a virtual Microworlds demonstration with Houston Arboretum & Nature Center. Registration is $90 for non-members; $60 for members per three-week unit. There will be classes for ages 5 through 12. 1:30pm to 2:30pm.
  • Washington Heights Market at Platypus Brewing | No Cover – Hit Washington Ave to shop work from local artists, handmade goods, jewelry, food, pet accessories and more at an outdoor market at Platypus Brewing. 4pm to 6pm.
  • Stages presents Thursdays at The Gordy – Sip on cocktails, beer, or wine while enjoying a socially distanced happy hour featuring live musical entertainment courtesy of The Gordy near Washington Ave. Tickets are $25 for a table. 5pm to 10pm.
  • Cider & Cheese Pairing Class at City Orchard City Orchard Cidery and Curd Culture join forces to bring you a sensational night of five delicious cheese and cider pairings. Tickets are $45 per person. 6pm to 8pm.
  • 2020 Buffalo Bayou Partnership Picnic at Buffalo Bayou Park Celebrate five years of BBP’s renovation at a socially distanced picnic version of their traditional gala that helps support the ongoing care of Buffalo Bayou Park, with an at-home option too. Sponsor donations for a picnic basket for two start at $1,000. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Thursday Jazz with Houston Ensemble at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – Head to EaDo for an evening of live jazz under the stars while sipping on local brews from 8th Wonder Brewery while listening to tunes from the Houston Ensemble. 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
  • Patrice Pike in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – Catch a rocking set from the Austin-based singer-songwriter Patrice Pike, when she brings her electric voice to the stage at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck in Upper Kirby. This event will also be held online via McGonigel’s Mucky Duck’s Facebook page and YouTube channel. Tickets for a table of four are $120 before ticketing fees. 7pm to 8:30pm.
  • Macrame Workshop at Honey Art Cafe Learn how to create your own wall hangings and plant holders at Honey Art Cafe’s beginner-level macrame workshop. Tickets are $35 per person. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Hot Club of Montrose at Brasil Houston | No Cover – Jam out to live jazz while enjoying food and drinks at a socially distanced set on the back patio of Brasil Houston. 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
  • The Christi Show at Houston Improv Spend your evening at an entertaining set from quadruple-threat Christianee Porter when she flexes her comedy, acting, writing, and singing chops live on stage at Houston Improv. Tickets for general admission tables are $50 for two; $100 for four; $150 for six; preferred tables are $70 for two. 8pm.
  • Man! I Feel Like a Woman: Country Music Night at The Rustic | FREE – Giddy up on over to Downtown to celebrate all your favorite ladies of ’90s country with live music by Taylor Nicks & friends. 9:30pm.
  • UBP After Dark at UB Preserv – Hungry night owls rejoice and head to UB Preserv for mouth-watering, late-night eats when, for a limited time, the kitchen offers a choice menu of craveable munchies and cocktail specials, including Korean fried ribs, “Thicc n’ Hearty” burgers, fries and more. 10pm to 1am.

  • Fall Features at Pondicheri Hit the patio at the Upper Kirby restaurant to try one of the many delicious fall additions to their Indian street food-inspired menu, including a spiced Vindaloo Ribs special available for lunch and dinner while supplies last. $40 for two. 9am to 10pm.
  • NOLA Night: Hustlers Brass Band in Concert at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Break out the lawn chairs and bring your friends or family for an outdoor concert featuring music from the New Orleans act, Hustlers Brass Band at Sugar Land Town Square. 5:30pm.
  • BLCK Market at Buffalo Soldier National Museum | No Cover – Shop from more than 50 Black small businesses, entrepreneurs, artisans, and vendors at the BLCK Market taking place at the Buffalo Soldier National Museum in the Museum District. 6pm.
  • Sips and Sounds at Hotel ZaZa Memorial City | No Cover – Sip on a selection of curated cocktails while enjoying live entertainment at the Tipping Point Restaurant and Terrace at Hotel ZaZa in Memorial City. There is no cover, but reservations are required. 6pm to 10pm.
  • H-Town Blues Festival at NRG Arena Spend your evening immersed in the blues with a stacked lineup of artists including Pokey Bear, Sir Charles Jones, Calvin Richardson, Tucka and more, at the 14th Annual H-Town Blues Festival at NRG Arena. Tickets start at $49. 7pm.
  • Drive-In Movie Screening of Edward Scissorhands at Raven Tower Catch a drive-in screening of Tim Burton’s classic ’90s fable, complete with alcohol, food truck fare, popcorn, and candy that you can order online and have delivered directly to your car. 7pm and 9:15pm. $30 per vehicle.
  • Black Panther Movie Screening at Memorial City | FREE – Break out your lawn chairs or blanket and join T’Challa as he returns home to the African nation of Wakanda to take his rightful place as king at an outdoor screening of Marvel’s beloved 2018 flick Black Panther starring the late, great Chadwick Boseman on The Square at Memorial City. 7pm to 9pm. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Letsdothishouston presents Solange & Kendrick Lamar Night Light Bike Ride Set your own pace while on an evening LED bike ride filled with the music of Houston R&B songstress Solange and Kendrick Lamar. Tickets are $11.37 and $27.60 to rent a bike. 7:30pm.
  • Miller Outdoor Theatre Virtual Series: 41st Annual Festival Chicano with Little Joe y La Familia | FREE – Celebrate Chicano culture and the artistic creativity developed after centuries of influence from native peoples, Latin Americans, Europeans, and the United States, during Miller Outdoor Theatre’s virtual live broadcast of the 41st Annual Festival Chicano. The event is free to watch, and will be available for viewing after the original broadcast begins. 7:30pm to 9pm.
  • Flash Gordon Parks DJ Set at Brasil Houston | No Cover – Hit the Montrose café mainstay for food, drinks and a lively evening set that ranges from blues and jazz to soul/funk and hip-hop from DJ Flash Gordon Parks on the back patio. 8pm to 10pm.
  • Nick Gaitan in Concert at Goode Company Armadillo Palace | No Cover – Catch a set from local singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Nick Gaitan, when he takes the stage at Goode Company Armadillo Palace in Upper Kirby. 8:30pm.
