  • 8th Annual Galveston Restaurant Week | Daily – During the 16 days of Galveston Restaurant Week, 25 Galveston restaurants and eateries will offer tasty prix-fixe meals with special wallet-friendly pricing. The event will showcase the freshest ingredients, most flavorful dishes and tastiest culinary gems that Galveston has to offer, as well as benefit Access Care of Coastal Texas. Restaurants will feature two- and/or three-course dinners priced between $20 and $35. Times vary.

  • Happy Hour Thursday at MFAH | No Cover – Browse the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and enjoy a cash bar, local DJ, and grub from a local food truck. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Cultured Cocktails: The Dream Scholarship at Bar Boheme | No Cover – Fresh Arts host the Cultured Cocktails Happy Hour, where a portion of the proceeds will be added to The Dream Scholarship Art fund, an organization that raises awareness of the underrepresentation of students of color in higher learning Fine Art programs. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Class: Wine & Cheese Pairing at The Nice Winery – The Nice Winery partners up with local artisanal cheese shop, Houston Dairymaids for a Wine & Cheese Pairing class. Tickets are $69 for non-members; $55 for members. 6pm to 8pm.
  • John Egan in Concert at MKT Bar | No Cover – Catch a set from the local Americana blues singer-songwriter, John Egan at MKT Bar in Downtown. 7pm.
  • Pickling And Fermentation Demo Dinner at City Acre Brewing Co. – City Acre’s January Demo Dinner will be a pickling demo, with four courses dedicated to the art of fermentation. Admission Tickets are $59 per person. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Rob Baird in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – Watch a performance from Rob Baird, known for his critically-acclaimed album, I Swear It’s The Truth and his reputation as a no-frills, earnest singer, songwriter, and performer at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door. 7pm.
  • Game of Thrones Trivia at Great Heights Brewing Company – Gear up for the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones with a trivia night at Great Heights Brewing Company. Tickets are $6. 7pm to 9:30pm.
  • Pretty Things Peepshow at The Heights Theater – The Pretty Things Peepshow, one of a kind vaudeville variety show, celebrate their 10-year anniversary with a performance at The Heights Theater. This show is for ages 18 and up. Tickets range from $20 to $320. 8pm.

  • Super Beef Sunday at Saint Arnold Brewing Company – Gear up for the big game by filling up on masterclass barbecue from the legendary Louie Mueller BBQ along with Eddie O’s Texas Barbecue and Eaker Barbecue. The meats and beer will be flowing, and Louie Mueller will also have its pre-wrapped whole brisket and beef ribs available for pre-purchase ($75 to $100). Tickets are $50 per person. 11am to 2pm.
  • Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market | No Cover – Explore hip hop elements like emcee battles, breaking workshops, graffiti, and live turntablism, while shopping from more than 30 vendors at the Hip Hop Vintage Flea Market in Downtown. Noon to 5pm.
  • Paint By the Fire at Heights Bier Garten – Get creative while sipping on a beer at the Paint by the Fire workshop at the Heights Bier Garten. For this class, you’ll be painting a peacock. Tickets are $25 and include a drink ticket. 2pm.
  • Super Bowl Tailgate & Viewing Party at Capitol Bar Watch the big game amongst other football fans at the Super Bowl Tailgate and Viewing Party at Capitol Bar Midtown. Enjoy a happy hour along with tacos and burgers while watching the game on a dozen large TV’s as well as two massive projection screens. No cover before 7pm. 4pm to 2am.
  • Sunday Funday Sessions at The Flat | No Cover – The Flat hosts their Sunday Sessions with sounds by DJ SMNS and an all-day happy hour that features $4 Frozé’s (frozen rosé). 5pm.
  • Artbat at Stereo Live Houston – Dance the night away when the techno and house duo, Artbat, spin at Stereo Live Houston. Tickets are $5. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Dave Ross at The Secret Group – Laugh it up when stand up comedian known for his role on Comedy Central’s Corporate, Dave Ross, performs at The Secret Group. Tickets are $10. 8pm.
