- They Might Be Giants at White Oak Music Hall | Friday, February 2 – On the heels of releasing I Like Fun, their 20th album in their 36-year career, They Might Be Giants have proven their lasting power by bending the conventions of alternative rock. You can catch their sprawling and expansive live performances as part of their 50-city US tour. Tickets are $25 but their shows around the country are beginning to sell out, but you might be able to find better or cheaper tickets on TicketNetwork’s resale website. 8pm.
- Barry Manilow at Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land | Friday, February 2 – A half-century of songs and 75 million records later, one of the greatest entertainers arrives in Sugar Land for a night that promises to delight. Tickets for this event range from $19.95 to over $250, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 8pm.
- Lana Del Rey and Kali Uchis at Toyota Center | Saturday, February 10 – In support of her newest Grammy-nominated album, Lust for Life, Lana Del Rey brings her critically-acclaimed songs to Houston with support from Latin R&B starlet, Kali Uchis. Tickets start at $39.50 and range to $135, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork resale website. 8pm.
- Women Rock! A Benefit Concert at Rudyard’s | Saturday, February 10 – Come out to Rudyard’s British Pub for a night of female-fronted bands and a silent auction in support of Mildred’s Umbrella Theater Company, which promotes emerging and recognized women playwrights and directors. Other female-owned businesses and service organizations will be on hand to get in touch with the Houston community. Bands on the bill include Lazer Kittenz, Pretty Vacant, Mydolls, and Miears. Tickets are pay-what-you-can with a minimum of $10. 8:30pm.
- Pedro the Lion, Marie, and Lepanto at Rockefeller’s | Valentine’s Day, Wednesday, February 14 – Led by David Bazan, the indie rock band Pedro the Lion gave fans densely narrated songs about personal themes of religion and politics. After breaking up in 2006, the band has now reunited in 2017 and are touring the country to the delight of fans new and old. Tickets for this show at the legendary Rockefeller’s range from $20 to $25, but you may find better or cheaper tickets on the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 7pm.
- G. Love & Special Sauce, The Ries Brothers at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, February 15 – Coming through Houston with their special blend of “Streetside Blues” and hip-hop, G. Love & Special Sauce celebrate their 25th anniversary with a stop at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets start at $27.50; VIP passes are available for $97 and include a pre-show performance and Q&A opportunity. - Marc Anthony at Toyota Center | Friday, February 16 – The best-selling salsa artist of all-time drops by for an evening of overflowing appreciation in a concert dedicated to his fans. Originally scheduled for mid-October 2017, this stands as the new date for his return to H-Town. Tickets range from $55 to $175, but tickets purchased for the October date will be honored and this may be prone to selling out. - Of Mice & Men at White Oak Music Hall | Tuesday, February 27 – With the release of their fifth studio album, Defy, the metalcore band from California embarks on a month-long tour around the country. - Black Sabbitch (Black Sabbath) at Scout Bar | Thursday, February 8 – The all-female tribute band to Black Sabbath has been touring the country since 2011 and bring all the face-melting hits of the legendary rock band to fans from all over. Tickets range $11 to $15 for this show in Clear Lake. 9pm.
- DILLAgence (J. Dilla) at the Ballroom at Warehouse Live | Friday, February 9 – Since J. Dilla’s death in 2006, hip hop heads everywhere have spent the last decade honoring one of the greatest producers ever. DJ SoulOne takes to the decks in a J. Dilla tribute at Warehouse Live with tickets ranging from $15 to $20. 8pm.
- Kiss Alike (KISS) & To Tame a Land (Iron Maiden) at Acadia Bar & Grill | Saturday, February 17 – Two heavy rock tribute bands are joining for a bill that should entice old and young heavy metal fans alike. Tickets are $12 (21+); $15 (under 21) for this set at Acadia Bar & Grill in the Spring area. 8pm.
