- Yappy Hour at Midtown Park | FREE – Enjoy a pet-friendly happy hour at Midtown Park that features treats from Urban Tails, giveaways, contests, doggie yoga, and prizes. 5:30pm to 7pm.
- Dan Stuart In-Store Performance at Cactus Music | FREE – See a performance from author and songwriter Dan Stuart at the Cactus Music record store. There will be complimentary refreshments from Saint Arnold. 5:30pm.
- Jazz Wednesdays at Axelrad | No Cover – Axelrad hosts Jazz Wednesdays every week with a dynamic rotation of local jazz musicians at their beer garden. 6:30pm.
- Ku Egenti & Friends Showcase at Improv Houston – Comedian Ku Egenti hosts a comedy show featuring performances plenty of stand up comedians The Houston Improv. Tickets range from $15 to $25. 7pm.
- Dino Planters + Boozy Snowcones at Flatland Gallery – Pop Shop American hosts a Dinosaur Terrarium making workshop with boozy snowcones at Flatland Gallery. Tickets are $36. 7pm to 9pm.
- Sam Smith in Concert at Toyota Center – The Grammy, Oscar, and Golden Globe winner and pop singer Sam Smith hits the stage at the Toyota Center. Tickets start at $35, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s online resale market. 8pm.

- 19th Street Third Thursdays Sip & Stroll | No Cover – Shop at the 19th Street Heights boutiques and enjoy complimentary cocktails in store plus monthly features during the Sip & Stroll event. 5pm to 9pm.
- Happy Hour Thursday at MFAH | No Cover – Browse the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston and enjoy a cash bar, local DJ, and grub from a local food truck. 5pm to 8pm.
- Live Art Bar at Four Seasons Hotel | No Cover – Catch live art performances during this interactive series every third Thursday at the Four Seasons Hotel. Enjoy cocktail specials, get to know the artists and even become an artist for the day. 6pm.

- Hayes Carll in Concert McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – Known for his style of roots-oriented songwriting has been noted for its plainspoken poetry and sarcastic humor, Hayes Carll takes the stage at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. This show is sold out. 7pm.
- 20th Anniversary at Spotlight Karaoke – Spotlight Karaoke on Westheimer celebrates it’s 20th Anniversary with drinks, food, DJs, and more. 7pm.
- Funky Thursdays with DJ Muskratch at Rudyard’s British Pub | No Cover – Enjoy live vinyl spinning of funk music with DJ Muskratch along with funky cheese samples and SpindleTap Brews. 7:30pm.

- 2nd Annual Summer Music Festival at Four Seasons Hotel | No Cover – Gather with friends on the pool deck for the Four Seasons Hotel’s second annual Summer Music Festival. Enjoy live concert performances, $5 beers, and poolside games every third Friday of the month throughout the summer. 7pm.
- Mixers and Elixirs at Houston Museum of Natural Science – Don’t miss your chance to mingle with the dinosaurs, as the museum opens up for a night of music, dancing, cocktails, food trucks, and fun. Tickets are $25. 7pm.
- Viva El Tequila Festival at Cadillac Bar Houston – Salt, sip, lime, and repeat at the third annual Viva El Tequila Fest at Cadillac Bar. Sample tequila pours, signature cocktails and beer before grubbing on tasty tacos and dancing to your favorite hits. Tickets are $60. 7pm to 10pm.

- Grungefest: A Tribute To ’90s Alt Music at Revention Music Center – Hear your favorite ‘90s alt-rock music with a full line-up of tribute bands, including Alyson Chayns, The Nirvana Experience, Rusted Cage, Lemon Yellow Sun – A Tribute to Pearl Jam, and Testify, at Grungefest in Revention Music Center. - MFAH Mixed Media 2018 featuring Dâm-Funk, Wild Child, Hailey Knox, Tyler Dial & More at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – Party on the rooftop of the brand new Glassell School of Art (with views of Downtown, The Medical Center, Midtown and Museum District) at a super-sized summer party. There will be live music and DJs on four stages at the MFAH’s newest, and coolest campus expansion. $25. 8pm to midnight.
- Pecos Hank Band in Concert at Cottonwood | No Cover – Splice Records TX and Saint Arnold Brewing Company presents Pecos Hank Schyma and his band live at Cottonwood. 8pm.
- MFAH Mixed Media at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – Join the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston for the MFAH Mixed Media and enjoy a party full of music, drinks, dancing and more. There will be live music from DāM-FunK, Wild Child, DJs and more. Tickets range from $22 to $25. 8pm.
- Bachata Party at El Big Bad – Learn how to dance Bachata with the Latin Dance Factory and then show off your moves at a social dance party at El Big Bad in Downtown. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. 8pm.
- DJ Pauly D at Stereo Live – Dance the night away when Jersey Shore’s reality TV personality and DJ Pauly D spins at Stereo Live. Tickets start at $20. 10pm.
- 54 at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar – Boogie over to Prohibition Theatre and get down with Houston’s brightest stars, The Moonlight Dolls, for the party of your life. This one-hour show is followed by two hours of disco dancing. Tickets are $20, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $10. 11pm.

- Daybreak NFL Pool Party at Clé Houston – The Daybreak host The Annual NFL Back To Camp Weekend Saturday Day and Pool Party at Clé Houston. Hosted by All-Pro DeAndre Hopkins, there will be over 100 NFL Players and special guests. Tickets are $20. Noon to 8pm.
- Backyard Pub Crawl in the Heights | No Cover – Join Eureka Heights for their very first pub crawl through some of the neighborhoods hottest bars and restaurants, including Providence Bar, McIntyre’s, Bungalow Heights, Cedar Creek Bar & Grill, and Wicklow Heights. 1pm to 5pm.
- Aged Wine Class at Public Services Wine & Whisky – Taste wines that are meant to be aged at a special Aged Wine Class hosted by the folks behind Public Services Wine & Whisky. Guests will taste favorites from California, Australia, Spain, and France alongside fresh snacks. Tickets are $65, plus tax. 2pm.
- Bud Light Roast at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Houston’s own rock and alternative radio station, 94.5 The Buzz, presents the annual Bud Light Roast at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, featuring Blue October, Awolnation, Theory Of A Deadman, Robert DeLong, and Hold On Hollywood. Tickets start at $15. 3:30pm.
- The English Beat in Concert at The Heights Theater – After just three studio releases in the early 80’s, The English Beat (known as The Beat overseas) have revived their musical blend of punk, ska, and new wave on a critically acclaimed return, Here We Go Love. They descend on The Heights at the end of the month for a celebrated arrival. 7pm.
- TV Girl in Concert at Satellite Bar – Catch the LA-based indie pop band TV Girl with openers Infinity Crush and Get a Life at Satellite Bar in the East End. Tickets start at $12. 7pm.
