  • Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park | Monday, April 30 to Thursday, May 3 – Get loud for the Astros when they take the field to play the Yankees in a home game at Minute Maid Park. Tickets start at $15, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site.
  • Jack White in Concert at Revention Music Center | Monday, April 30 and Tuesday, May 1 – Don’t miss your chance to see Jack White in concert when he stops at Houston’s Revention Music Center for two nights in support of his third solo album, Boarding House Reach. Tickets start at $79. 7pm.
  • Vance Joy in Concert at Revention Music Center | Wednesday, May 2 Check out indie folk singer-songwriter Vance Joy when he plays a show at Revention Music Center. Tickets start at $43. 6:30pm.
  • Urban Green’s Urban Derby at Hermann Park | Thursday, May 3Bust out the seersucker suits and large, floppy hats for this derby-themed event that features tasty bites, craft cocktails, and beats by DJ Mav, all to benefit the Hermann Park Conservancy. Tickets start at $45. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Broadway at the Hobby Center presents Hamilton: An American Musical National Tour | Tuesday, May 1 to Sunday, May 6 – Quickly book your tickets for Lin Manuel Miranda’s epic Broadway musical, Hamilton, a Tony-winning performance that’s taken the country by storm since its debut in 2015.  Based on Ron Chernow’s biography, Hamilton uses hip-hop, rap, jazz, blues and more to tell the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton. Tickets start at $175, but you may find tickets for sold out shows or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale marketplace. Tuesday 2pm; Wednesday and Thursday 7:30pm; Friday 8pm; Saturday 2pm and 8pm; Sunday 2pm and 7:30pm.
  • Cinco de Mayo Houston at Navigation Esplanade | FREE | Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5 – Join the fiesta at Navigation Esplanade, where friends and families can enjoy live music, drinks, Ballet Folklorico dances, and plenty of delicious traditional Mexican food to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. Noon.
  • The Texas Taco, Tequila and Margarita Festival at Preservation Park | Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5  – Scarf down tasty tacos and refreshing margaritas from local eateries, along with live music from Gio Chamba, Latin Paradise, and Mariachi Bands, at Preservation Park in Spring. Tickets start at $7. Noon to midnight.
  • Zoo Ball 2018: An Evening in Borneo at Houston Zoo | Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5  – Meet exotic animals, bid on exclusive silent and live auction items, enjoy a fabulous seated dinner, and dance to live music from Taylor Pace Orchestra while raising funds for the Houston Zoo at the annual Zoo Ball. $1,000. 6:30pm to midnight.
  • The Ultimate Women’s Expo at George R. Brown Convention Center | Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 – Discover the best women’s products, services, and resources for your home, business, and family at the Ultimate Women’s Expo in George R. Brown Convention Center. Hear from keynote speakers like Victoria Osteen, Kenya Moore, and Rasheeda Frost, then enjoy shopping, spa treatments, and food tastings throughout the day. $10. Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 11am to 5pm.
  • Santo De Mayo 5K at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Sunday, May 6 – Combine your love of beer and running at the annual Santo de Mayo 5K presented by University of Houston Downtown and Saint Arnold Brewery. Participants will enjoy a post-race fiesta and receive a commemorative pint glass, T-shirt, three tasty beers, a breakfast burrito, and a race bib. $50. 8:30am.
