- Al Di Meola at Heights Theater | Tuesday, January 31 – Bona fide guitar hero and composer Al Di Meola is putting his musical prowess on display as he rolls through the Heights with tunes from his most recent album, Across the Universe, an interpretation of the Beatles’ record. $36 and up. 8pm.
- TUTS presents Chicago at the Hobby Center | Starts Tuesday, January 31 – Theatre Under The Stars debuts its take on the shrewd musical commentary on murder and celebrity. The multi-award-winning musical is among Broadway’s most loved. $40 and up. Times vary.
- 6th Annual Lone Star Luau at Margaritaville Lake Conroe Resort | Thursday, February 2 through Sunday, February 5 – Packed with Texas country, trop rock, and Nashville artists, the resort based music fest offers up songs about sun, sand, dirt roads, dive bars, and more. $35 and up. Times vary.
- Cirque Italia: Water Circus at Houston Premium Outlets | Thursday, February 2 through Sunday, February 5 – Cirque Italia stages an all-human circus above, on, and within a 35,000 gallon tank of water under a big tent in Cypress. The same show will also travel to Beaumont in a few weeks. $25 and up. Times vary.
- Houston Rockets vs. Toronto Raptors at the Toyota Center | Friday, February 3 – It’s a’boot time to head to Toyota Center as the Rockets fend of the boys from Canada. $19 and up, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the online ticket resale market. 7pm.
- Who’s Bad: Michael Jackson Tribute at House of Blues | Friday, February 3 – The tribute act celebrates the energy and groundbreaking musicianship of the legendary Michael Jackson. $15 and up. 7pm.
- Kinetic in Concert at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday, February 3 – “The artist led, artist curated” group of young musicians, Kinetic, are making their Asia Society Texas Center debut, exploring the intersectionality of Korean and French musical identities. $25. 7:30pm.
- Performing Arts Houston presents Dance Theatre of Harlem at Jones Hall | Friday, February 3 & Saturday, February 4 – One of the most renowned dance troupes in the world comes to Houston with a series of works that showcase their brilliant vision of ballet in the 21st century. $34 and up. - On The Verge Theatre presents Red Speedo at Gigglin’ Marlin Dive & Swim | Friday, February 3 through Sunday, February 5 – Performed completely in and around an indoor swimming pool in Museum Park, this provocative comedy drama explores swimming and the American dream of a level playing field. $30 and up. - 5th Annual Gumbo Cookoff at Cedar Creek Bar & Grill | Saturday, February 4 – Fifteen teams vie for the title and big prizes, but attendees are the real winners—getting unlimited gumbo tastings. $35 for tasting guests. 1pm to 5pm.
- Monster Energy AMA Supercross at NRG Stadium | Saturday, February 4 – It’s about to get wild at NRG as the rip-roaring off-road riders compete for the 2023 Supercross Championships when these dirt bikes come to town. $30 and up. 6:30pm.
