- Journey & Def Leppard at Toyota Center | Saturday, September 1 & Monday, September 3 – Two of the world’s legendary rock bands host two nights of hits from their extensive catalogs of favorites. Journey closes the first performance with Def Leppard wrapping up Monday night’s must-see show. - Rebels, Raiders, & Superman: A Tribute to John Williams, featuring Houston Symphony at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Tuesday, September 4 – Presented by the Houston Symphony, this tribute to legendary film composer, John Williams, encompasses his career from the sheet music of Star Wars, to Indiana Jones and Jurassic Park. Mezzanine and lawn seating is free for this event; orchestra seating is $20. 7pm.
- Rise Against, with AFI, Anti-Flag at Revention Music Center | Wednesday, September 12 – A major triple bill of punk rock hits Downtown’s Revention Music Center, with Rise Against headlining in support of their 2017 release, Wolves. They’ll be joined by the influential AFI and Anti-Flag. Tickets range from $51 to $120. 6pm.
- Al Di Meola at The Heights Theater | Friday, September 14 – The famed jazz guitarist arrives to the Heights for a performance touting his newest release, Opus, from February 2018. Tickets range from $34 to $150. 7pm.
- The Crystal Method at Warehouse Live (Studio) | Saturday, September 15 – One of the pioneering electronica duos, The Crystal Method has been churning out thumping rhythms since 1993. Tickets are $19 advance; $22 day of show. 9pm.
- Beyoncé & Jay-Z at NRG Stadium | Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16 – Following the surprise album release of Everything Is Love, the Carters have reemerged for their next collaborative world tour, dubbed the On the Run II Tour. Featuring a double-date weekend engagement in Houston, hometown fans will get an extra chance to show Queen Bey some love. - Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience, featuring Ramin Djawadi at Toyota Center | Monday, September 17 – Fans of the Emmy-winning HBO series are in for a treat as famed show composer, Ramin Djawadi, leads an orchestra and choir through music from all seven seasons of the hit television show. Along with a custom stage design, dazzling visuals, and footage from the show, this performance is can’t-miss territory for Thrones fans. - Childish Gambino, with Rae Sremmurd at Toyota Center | Saturday, September 22 – With awards piling up for his innovative work in television and movies, Childish Gambino set the tone for the summer by releasing his single, This is America, in May. - Ozzy Osbourne, with Stone Sour at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Friday, September 28 – Ozzy embarks on another farewell tour, this time accompanied by Zakk Wylde on guitar, and Stone Sour for an opening act. The world tour performances aim to celebrate the five decades of music making by the Prince of Darkness. - Interpol, with Sunflower Bean at White Oak Music Hall | Saturday, September 29 – In between temporary hiatus and solo projects, Interpol hasn’t made many appearances on tour in recent years. That changes this month as they visit Houston for the first time in a very long while. Tickets are selling fast, with remaining seats available for $32.50. 7pm.
- Taylor Swift, with Camila Cabello, Charli XCX at NRG Stadium | Saturday, September 29 – The 53-date world tour that has been rocking stadiums around the globe comes to Houston, in support of Swift’s late-2017 release, Reputation. - Ms. Lauryn Hill, with Shabazz Palaces, Patoranking at Smart Financial Centre | Saturday, September 29 – Ms. Lauryn Hill hits the road in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, still lauded as one of the greatest albums of all time. - Drake, with Migos at Toyota Center | Saturday, September 29, Sunday, September 30, and Tuesday, October 2 – After blazing up the charts for another No. 1 release with Scorpion, Drake hits the road for the “Aubrey and The Three Migos Tour”. Now with a third performance added in Houston, fans will have even more opportunity to catch the Canadian sensation, supported by Atlanta trap rap superstars, Migos.
