- Trivia Night with Geeks Who Drink at Bakfish Brewing Co. | No Cover – Geeks Who Drink Pub Quizzes takes over Bakfish Brewing in Pearland for a night of trivia, beer, and fun. 6pm to 8:30pm.
- Holiday Pie Flight at Flying Saucer Sugar Land | No Cover – Flying Saucer in Sugar Land will be featuring a flight with 4 beers paired with 4 different holiday pies. 7pm.
- The Office Christmas Trivia at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover – Participate in a special Office Trivia on the Christmas episodes only at Under the Radar. The trivia will be 3 rounds with 10 question and a bonus after each round. Dress up like your favorite character for the costume contest. 7pm to 8pm.
- December Cornhole Competitions at Front Porch Pub | No Cover – Front Porch Pub hosts a cornhole tournament every Wednesday featuring giveaways and shots to give away to all participants. 7:30pm.

- Metanoia in Concert at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – Watch the local ska band, Metanoia perform on the outdoor stage at 8th Wonder Brewery. 7pm to 10pm.
- Poison Pen Reading Series at Poison Girl | No Cover – Enjoy a live reading from three writers for the Poison Pen Reading Series at Poison Girl every last Thursday of each month. Featuring recognized writers of poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, The Poison Pen Reading Series has been recognized as one of the best local reading series in Houston. 8:30pm.
- Nightbird in Concert at House of Blues – Catch a magical performance from Nightbird: A Tribute to Stevie Nicks at House of Blues in Downtown. Tickets are $12. 7pm.
- Throwback Thursday at The Flat | No Cover – DJ AD spins nothing but old school hip-hop hits at The Flat. There will also be specially priced cocktails starting at 7pm.
- Htx Indiefest 4 at The Secret Group – The Htx Indiefest 4 showcases bands including Hoax and Haze, Playa Familia, Foe G4ng, Jamie Hancock and more at The Secret Group. Tickets are $15. 7:30pm.

- Meowvie Night Movie Screening at El Gato Coffeehouse Cat Cafe – Spend your evening cuddling with the resident cats of El Gato Coffeehouse Cat Care when they screen a surprise cat-themed movie. Tickets range from $15 to $18. 6pm to 8pm.
- 2Pac Night Light Vibe at 3rd Ward Tours – For the 2Pac Night Light Vibe event, you can experience a cruise around the city streets on the Brand New Dutch Bikes equipped with multicolor LED lights. Riders will be riding through the streets with a break at Midtown Park while you vibe to music by Tupac Shakur. Tickets range from $10 to $22. 7pm to 9pm.
- Girl in A Coma and Wild Moccasins in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The San Antonio-based indie rock band, Girl in A Coma headlines this show along with indie pop band Wild Moccasins at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets are $15. 8pm.
- Ashanti and Ja Rule in Concert at Arena Theater – Sing along to the hit “Always on Time” as R&B singer Ashanti and rapper Ja Rule co-headline at the Arena Theater. Tickets start at $49.50. 8:30pm.
- Best of 2000 at South Beach Houston – Dance to all the top 40 hits of the early 2000’s and enjoy drink specials at the LGBT-friendly nightclub, South Beach Houston. Cover charge at the door. 9pm.

- Holler for Southern Goods at Holler Brewing Co. – Holler Brewing Co. welcomes Chef Lyle Bento and Ruben Z. for a Southern Goods-style pop-up event. Proceeds will benefit damage relief from the recent fire the restaurant experienced. Menu items prices vary. 1pm to 6pm.
- Shinyribs in Concert at The Heights Theater – Experience the country-soul, swamp-funk sounds of Shinyribs with special guest opener David Beck. Tickets are $20. 7pm.
- Soul Session Saturdays at MKT Bar | No Cover – Join DJ Tempty as he spins nothing but ’60s and ’70s soul, Motown, funk, and disco, every Saturday evening at MKT Bar in Downtown. 8pm.
- Skating Polly in Concert at Walter’s Downtown – Skating Polly, a sister duo from Oklahoma hit the stage at Walter’s Downtown with openers Starcrawler and Quinn the Brain. Tickets are $10. 8pm to 11:30pm.
- Ghostland Observatory in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Catch electronic band Ghostland Observatory with openers Night Drive at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets range from $30 to $37.
New Year’s Eve, Sunday, December 31, 2017
- NYE Bash at Axelrad | No Cover – The Axelrad beer garden in Midtown hosts their laidback NYE Bash featuring live music, visual installations, hammocks, drinks and more. 6pm.
- Midtown’s Hottest New Year’s Eve Fest – Make your way over to Midtown for their New Year’s Eve fest happening at 3rd Floor, Irish Cowboy, and Pub Fiction. Enjoy DJ Havoc, DJ Abel, and DJ Henry spinning top 40 hits and a champagne toast at the stroke of midnight. Tickets are $25 for pre-sale and $30 at the door. 7pm.
- New Year’s Eve 2018 at Howl at the Moon – Dance the 2017 year away at this New Year’s Eve party at Howl at the Moon. Depending on what package you purchase, you can choose between a gourmet dinner, a champagne bottle to toast with, and party favors. Tickets start at $20 for general admission. VIP tickets range from $30 to $125. 7pm.
- The Get Down New Year’s Eve Celebration at Rockefellers – Disco into 2018 at a ’70s-themed New Year’s Eve dance party filled with soul, funk, hip-hop, and disco jams at Rockefellers. Enjoy cocktails, food, go-go girls, disco balls, DJs, bands, sparklers, and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Disco-inspired cocktail attire is required. Tickets start at $60. 8pm.
- New Year’s Eve Party: BLT XIV at Lucky’s Pub and Warehouse Live – This 2-venue event will be packed with premium bars and staffed with experienced bartenders, ensuring that the party keeps flowing. - New Year’s Eve: 1920s Midnight in Paris Celebration at 13 Celsius – The 13 Celsius wine bar is ringing in the 2018 New Year with their tradition of a 1920s Parisian-themed night out. Tickets are $20 for a table and a champagne toast; $50 for reserved couch seating and a double champagne toast, a bottle of champagne, and a cheese plate. 10pm.
