- Archway Gallery’s #BlackLivesMatter – Time for Change! Virtual Exhibition | Monday, July 27 through Friday, July 31 | FREE to View – Curated from its member artists in response to this summer’s civil rights movement, this collection will take its bow after Friday. Works are available for purchase and half of all proceeds will be donated to the Houston-based Community Artists’ Collective, which helps to provide a link between African American artists and the broader community.
- Summer Camp: Flight Engineering at Lone Star Flight Museum | Tuesday, July 28 through Friday, July 31 – Designed for ages 10 to 12, the four-day summer camp test different drone designs, learn about historic planes, and compete in an obstacle course. $175; $150 for museum members and active military. - 14 Pews’ Anti-Racist Book Club on Zoom | Thursday, July 30 | FREE – Featuring Robin Diangelo’s book White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism, 14 Pews launches a monthly Anti-Racist Book Club discussion group. - Houston Rockets vs. Dallas Mavericks on ATT Sportsnet-SW & ESPN | Friday, July 31 – In the first in an eight-game series to determine playoff seeds, the Rockets return to the court to take on rivals from Dallas. 8pm to 10pm.
- Whiplash Drive-In Movie Screening at Shady Acres Saloon | Friday, July 31 – Catch a live screening of the 2014 film that won actor J.K. Simmons an Oscar, from the safety of your car, at this week’s edition of the new live-music inspired music series from the Best Little Drive-In in HTX.
