- Wine Down Wednesday at FM Kitchen and Bar | No Cover – Head to FM Kitchen and Bar every Wednesday for cheap wine all day and some live acoustic music all night from Tom Lynch and Haley Lynch of the local band VODI. Live music begins at 6:30pm. 11am to 8:30pm.
- Bingo Night at Mellow Mushroom | No Cover – Enjoy drink specials, pizza, and prizes while playing a game of bingo at Mellow Mushroom. 7pm.
- Slash in Concert at House of Blues – The Guns N’ Roses guitarist has been traveling the wide world, reunited with his legendary band. Now, Slash heads out on his own again for a tour supporting his newest album, Living the Dream, which releases just five days before this show. Tickets range from $79 to over $145, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- Mystic Braves in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Catch a show from the psychedelic rock band Mystic Braves with openers The Creation Factory at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets are $12. 7pm.
- Cards Against Humanity Tournament at Craft Beer Cellar Houston – Comedian, Roxxy Haze hosts a night of fun and laughs with a Cards Against Humanity tournament at Craft Beer Cellar Houston every Wednesday. 7:30pm.
- Rick and Morty Trivia at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover – Test your knowledge of the hilarious cartoon with a cult following, Rick and Morty at Under the Radar Brewery. 7:30pm.

- Girls Night Out: Twilight Market at Revolver Houston | No Cover – Shop Local hosts their Twilight Market where you can shop from plenty of local vendors, and have a drink at the bar at Revolver Houston. 6pm.
- French Discovery Dinner featuring Grey Goose at Boheme – Guest Chef David Cordua prepares a delicious pop-up French Discovery dinner featuring Grey Goose Vodka at Boheme. The cocktail reception is at 6:30pm and the coursed meal begins at 7pm. This dinner is for ages 21 and up only. Tickets are $78 per person and seating is limited. 6:30pm to 9pm.
- Nothing in Concert at The Secret Group – Hear the shoegaze and dream pop sounds of the band Nothing at The Secret Group. Arrive early for openers Swirlies, Big Bite, and Smut. Tickets range from $16 to $20. 6:30pm.
- Lord Huron in Concert at Revention Music Center – Head to Revention Music Center for a show as Indie rockers Lord Huron take the stage in support of their April 2018 release, Vide Noir. Tickets start at $31, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7pm.
- Darden Smith at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck – Singer-songwriter Darden Smith releases his first book, The Habit of Noticing: Using Creativity to Make a Life (and a Living) and performs a show that brings the tales to life at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. Tickets start at $25. 7pm.
- Back in the Gap Thursday: ’90s Night at Belle Station – Dress up in ’90s fashion as DJ Omix spins nothing but ’90s music at Belle Station on Midtown. Cover charge at the door. 8pm.
- Comedian Heather Mcdonald at Houston Improv – Laugh it up when the nationally touring stand-up, actress, and accomplished writer, Heather Mcdonald performs at the Houston Improv. Tickets range from $20 to $45. 8pm.
- CSz presents The EaDo Comedy Show – Catch plenty of high-energy characters, fast-paced scenes and personal absurdities in The Eado Comedy Show, CSz Houston’s long-form improv show that draws from the fun East Downtown neighborhood vibe. Full price tickets are $10, but limited comped (you only pay ticketing fees) and discounted $5 tickets available. 8pm.
- Wild Moccasins presents Lavender Hour at Etro Lounge | No Cover – Catch a DJ set hosted by Houston’s very own Wild Moccasins at Etro Lounge in Montrose. Ages 21 and up. 9pm.

- Yappy Hour at Bagby Park | FREE – Enjoy a pet-friendly happy hour at Bagby Park that features treats from Urban Tails, giveaways, contests, doggie yoga, and prizes. 4:30pm.
- Triumph of the Human Spirit: Works from Houston’s Refugee and Immigrant Artists at St. John’s School – See inspiring artworks made by former immigrants and refugees who now call Houston home at the Triumph of the Human Spirit: Works from Houston’s Refugee and Immigrant Artists exhibit at St. John’s School. Tickets are $25. 6pm to 9pm.
- Ozzy Osbourne in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – Ozzy embarks on another farewell tour, this time accompanied by Zakk Wylde on guitar, and Stone Sour for an opening act. The world tour performances aim to celebrate the five decades of music making by the Prince of Darkness. Tickets range from $35 to $250, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats on the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 6:30pm.
- Critical Mass Bike Ride at Guadalupe Plaza Park | FREE – Bike through Downtown H-Town at Critical Mass’ monthly community ride. This event happens on the last Friday of every month. All cyclists are welcome. This ride used to start at Market Square Park in Downtown, but now originates out of Guadalupe Plaza Park in the East End. 7pm.
- Succulent Terrarium Craft Class at Art Cellar Houston – Design and create your very own succulent terrarium in this DIY class at Art Cellar Houston. Presented by Pop Shop America, the BYOB workshop includes all supplies necessary to create two small terrariums, as well as maintenance tips to keep your plant looking its best. Tickets are $35. 7pm to 9:30pm.
- Kali Uchis in Concert at House of Blues – Colombian-American singer, Kali Uchis, burst onto the scene in 2012 with a mixtape and has just released her debut studio album, Isolation, in a genre-defining effort that blends R&B, neo-soul, reggae and more. Tickets for this show range from $30 to $49. 7pm.
- Framing Cats & Dogs: An Art Tribute to Pets at Insomnia Gallery | FREE – The Framing Cats & Dogs art show will feature local Houston area residents paying homage to their beloved pets at Insomnia Gallery. 7pm to 11pm.
- Whiskey & Wine Festival at India House – Experience international whiskey and wine at The Whiskey & Wine Festival the India House Ballroom. There will be experts from wineries and distilleries serving a variety of samples from all over the country. Tickets start at $50. 7pm to 10pm.
- 5 Seconds of Summer in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – Get pumped for a live show by the pop-rock boy group, 5 Seconds of Summer, as they stop at Smart Financial Centre on the “Meet You There” Tour in Sugar Land. - Pigeons Playing Ping Pong in Concert at Last Concert Cafe – Experience the high energy of the psychedelic funk band, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong at Last Concert Cafe. Kitchen Dwellers open the show. Tickets start at $16. 8pm.
- The Throwback ’90s Party at Scout Bar – Break out your favorite ’90s attire and get ready to dance to the hits of the ’90s at The Throwback Party at Scout Bar. There will be a costume contest, ’90s-themed visuals, drink specials, door prizes and more. Tickets start at $5 for 21 and up; $10 for 18 and up. 9pm.
- 54 at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar – Boogie over to Prohibition Theatre and get down with Houston’s brightest stars, The Moonlight Dolls, for the party of your life. This one-hour show is followed by two hours of disco dancing. Tickets are $20, but you may find limited discounted tickets for $10. 11pm.

- Oktoberfest at The Water Works – Put on your Lederhosen and Dirndls and head over to the annual Oktoberfest at The Water Works. This craft beer festival brings a German twist, with polka music, German beers and brats, and the annual Oktoberfest Olympiad, featuring games like stein hoisting, brat tossing, and barrel rolling. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $100 for VIP, with beer pong and flip cup tournament entry fees available for purchase. 11am to 6pm.
- Ms. Lauryn Hill in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – Ms. Lauryn Hill hits the road in celebration of the 20th anniversary of The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, still lauded as one of the greatest albums of all time. Shabazz Palaces and Patoranking open the show. Tickets range from $29.50 to $199.99, but you might find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get tickets on the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 6:30pm.
- Interpol in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Catch the indie rock band, Interpol at White Oak Music Hall with openers Sunflower Bean. Tickets start at $32.50. 7pm.
- Taylor Swift in Concert at NRG Stadium – Pop star Taylor Swift goes on tour for her latest 2017 release, Reputation with openers Camila Cabello and Charli XCX. Tickets range from $162 to over $800, but you may find better, cheaper, or hard-to-get seats on the TicketNetwork resale market. 7pm.
- Jaws Movie Screening at Magnolia Green Park – Watch the classic movie Jaws on a tube in open water and enjoy roasted s’mores, food trucks, games, and more at Magnolia Creek Park. Tickets are $21.99. 7pm.
- Remembering Harvey Open Mic at Writespace | FREE – Join Writespace and the Houston Flood Museum for a special Remembering Harvey Open Mic where people can speak out about their experiences during the flood. 7pm to 9pm.
- MoonGarden Opening Night at Discovery Green | FREE – Marvel at 22 illuminated spheres located in and around Discovery Green, transforming the area into an ethereal moonscape at the art installation, MoonGarden. The installation will kick off with an opening night featuring a performance by Cirque la Vie, and a screening of the 1988 film, Moonstruck. 7:30pm to 10pm.
- Jane Monheit in Concert at The Heights Theater – With her new album, The Songbook Sessions: Ella Fitzgerald—the first to be released on her own Emerald City Records—the Long Island-born vocalist-musician has surprised even herself with her artistic leap. Tickets range from $28 to $464. 8pm.
- Owl City in Concert at House of Blues – Dance to the whimsical pop music of Owl City when the group takes the stage at House of Blues on the Cinematic Tour, along with Matt Thiessen and The Earthquakes. Tickets start at $25, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 8pm.
- Charli XCX & Dorian Electra’s Femmebot Fantasy at Pearl Bar – Pop star Charli XCX hosts a party with performances from Dorian Electra, Mood Killer, Bambi Pvc, DJ VIP, Banoffee and many more at the LGBTQ-friendly venue, Pearl Bar. Admission Tickets are $25. 10pm.
- The Late Show: Bathtub Full of Gin at Prohibition Supperclub – Step into the Roaring ’20s, when skirts were short and booze was a secret pleasure. Bathtub Full of Gin is Terrible Enfant Theatre Company’s immersive dance party series, where evocative theatre performances combine with high energy electro swing music. Tickets are $20 for standing; $35 for seated, but limited, discounted $10 standing tickets are available for most shows. 11pm.

- Culture & Cuisine HTX’s 2nd Annual Cultural Thanksgiving at 8th Wonder Brewery – Culture & Cuisine HTX’s 2nd Annual Cultural Thanksgiving is an afternoon of celebrating the diversity that makes Houston so fascinating. There will be 8th Wonder brews, international cuisine from multiple food trucks, cultural performances, international culture, and mingling and networking with Houstonians. $5. 2pm to 6pm.
- Southern Smoke at The Hay Merchant – Chris Shepherd, along with the HOUBBQ Collective, will host the fourth annual Southern Smoke festival, held in the parking lot outside of Blacksmith and Hay Merchant. Tickets are $200 for general admission; $350 for VIP. 4pm.
- Florence + The Machine in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – With the late-June release of High as Hope, the indie-pop outfit fronted by Florence Welch returns to Houston, supported by the heralded jazz saxophonist, Kamasi Washington. Tickets range from $39.50 to $99.50, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 6pm.
- The Long Island Boys at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar – Prohibition Theatre and Terrible Enfants Theatre Company present Houston’s only monthly “boy-lesque” show. The Long Island Boys have come together from far and wide to dazzle you with their charm, class, and courage. Tickets are $25, but limited discounted $12.50 tickets are usually available. 6pm.
- Moon Dance at Discovery Green | FREE – Bring your sweetie to the Moon Dance event, a romantic evening happening within the MoonGarden art installation at Discovery Green. Dance to a moon-inspired playlist that includes salsa, tango, ballroom, swing and more among 22 illuminated spheres with Dance Houston. 7:30pm to 10pm.
- Platform Disco Sunday Night Fever at The Flat | No Cover – The Flat hosts a Sunday night with a collective of DJs playing rare cuts, b-sides and new edits of disco, funk, boogie, underground, and classic house. 9pm.
