- The Suffers Album Release at The Heights Theater | Thursday, July 12 and Friday, July 13 – For The Suffers, the local soul band that has exploded in recent years, it’s only appropriate that their album release stretch over back-to-back nights. Their Thursday night appearance with The Tontons and Friday night spot with Black Pumas promises a double-header of fun and positive vibes to celebrate their release, Everything Here. Sold out. 7:30pm each night.
- Glam Rock! Concert at Art Factory | Friday, July 13 to Sunday, July 15 – Blowing the roof off Houston’s Art Factory, Glam Rock! pays tribute to two of the greatest rock singers in history — Freddie Mercury and David Bowie. Tickets are $20, but you may find limited discounted tickets starting at $10. Times vary.

- Raising the Steaks Wednesdays at Belle Station – Belle Station hosts the Raising the Steaks party complete with a happy hour from 4pm to 8pm, a steak dinner hour from 7pm to 11pm, and rotating DJs starting at 9pm. Cover charge at the door. 4pm.
- Jazz Wednesdays at Axelrad | No Cover – Axelrad hosts Jazz Wednesdays every week with a dynamic rotation of local jazz musicians at their beer garden. 6:30pm.
- Code Orange in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Catch hardcore punk band Code Orange with openers Twitching Tongues, Show Me The Body, and Vein at White Oak Music Hall. Tickets are $16 in advance; $18 at the door. 7pm.
- Mir Fontane in Concert at Warehouse Live – See hip hop artist Mir Fontane on his More Macaroni Tour at Warehouse Live. Tickets range from $12 to $35. 7pm.
- Dinner, Show and a Kup of Kofi at Hamburger Mary’s – Have dinner with a side of drag with a show that includes high glamour, comedy and more hosted by Kofi at Hamburger Mary’s. Menu prices vary. 7:30pm.
- Alison Krauss in Concert at Smart Financial Centre – With 27 Grammy wins, Alison Krauss has found success across multiple genres and has paired up for duets with performers from Brad Paisley to Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant. - Rock the Dock: Summer Concert Series at Kemah Boardwalk | FREE – Soak up the sun and watch live music when Kemah Boardwalk hosts their Summer Concert Series every Thursday. Each Thursday will feature a different band. 7pm to 10pm.

- Unknown Mortal Orchestra in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Head downstairs at White Oak Music Hall for a psychedelic rock show from New Zealand-based Unknown Mortal Orchestra. Singer-songwriter Shamir will open the show. Tickets are $20. 8pm.

- 2018 H-Town on Tap: Beer Fest at Buffalo Bayou – Spend your Saturday sipping craft beer, listening to live music, and tasting food from local food trucks at the 2018 H-Town on Tap beer festival. Held at Water Works in Buffalo Bayou Park, the fest will showcase more than 100 local and international beers. Tickets start at $7. 4pm to 10pm.
- The Market at Sawyer Yards | No Cover – The Market at Sawyer Yards is a curated market featuring a mix of artist mediums with a focus on folk art, “maker is the seller,” and artisan crafts, including packaged specialty foods. 6pm to 10pm.
- Summer Saturday Nights at The Blue Field Market | No Cover – Head to Blue Field Market every Saturday night this summer for a variety of fun activities. Shoppers can enjoy local vendors, live bands, drink specials, sunset yoga, sand volleyball, and both sports and movie screenings on the big screen. 6pm.
- Opening Reception: Portal: Visual Iterate Function Systems Direct & External at Flatland Gallery | FREE – Civic TV Laboratories, in collaboration with Flatland Gallery, presents the opening of video artist Neil Ebbflo’s exhibition Portal: Visual Iterate Function Systems Direct and External. This exhibition will feature interactive video installations. 6pm to 9pm.
- Echo & The Bunnymen in Concert at Revention Music Center – Both of the historic bands on this double-bill, Echo & The Bunnymen and Violent Femmes, can claim careers spanning four decades and they arrive in Houston for a night of post-punk and new wave classics as well as recent works. Tickets range from $22 to more than $60, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 7pm.
- KiKi Maroon’s Comic Strip at Warehouse Live – Featuring Stormtrooper pole dancers, world-famous comedians, and cosplay style burlesque, this comic book themed show will be a combination of classy, surreal sexiness, and outrageous comedy. - Poetry Reading & Conversation at Lawndale Art Center | FREE – Take in a poetry reading and conversation with Routine Fables artists Sara Cress and Elaine Bradford at Lawndale Art Center. 2pm.
- Deorro at Clé Houston – DJ and producer Deorro spins at Clé Houston lounge for their Summer Sessions series. Tickets are $20. 2pm to 8pm.
- Houston Gospel Fest 2018 at India House – Celebrate different religious beliefs and culture at the Houston Gospel Fest 2018 at India House. This music festival will showcase gospel music acts from all over the world. Tickets start at $20. 3pm to 7pm.
- Mario Kart 64 League at Craft Beer Cellar Houston – Every other Sunday, Craft Beer Cellar Houston hosts a Mario Kart 64 league with Eureka Heights Brewery. Make a team and play the classic game for different prizes. There will be two heats, one at 4pm and one at 6pm. $3 entry per heat. 4pm.
- Feast of Saint Arnold at Saint Arnold Brewery – Guests can feast on four courses, featuring fish, red meat, poultry and pork, all served simultaneously and family-style (as medieval knights would be served). The meal beings with hors-d’oeuvres and aperitif beers, with the beers continually flowing throughout the feast. Utensils optional. Reservations are $135 each. 5pm.
- Boy George & Culture Club, with The B-52s & Tom Bailey at Smart Financial Centre – Boy George and the Culture Club bring a blast of the ’80s back to Houston, with The B-52s and Tom Bailey joining. From “Karma Chameleon” to “Love Shack”, there’s plenty of reason to bust out your karaoke skills. Tickets range from $59.50 to over $125, but select premium seats have been discounted to $52 to $82. 6:30pm.
- Alii & The Fellas in Concert at Axelrad | No Cover – Catch an outdoor show from the indie soul band Alii & The Fellas at the Axelrad beer garden. 7pm to 10pm.
