- American Fitness Expo at NRG Park | Saturday, June 3 and Sunday, June 4 – Motivational talks, meet-and-greets, and booths filled with fitness merchandise highlight this year’s event at NRG Park. Strongman Brian Shaw and UFC champion Jon Jones join a growing list of big names in fitness and bodybuilding, providing a chance for event goers to fetch an autograph and listen in on inspirational seminars. Obstacle courses, bounce castles, and face painters are among the features in the Kid’s Zone for the little bodybuilders-to-be. Tickets start at $35 for a day pass; $55 for the full weekend. 10am.
- Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels: Star Wars Night at Minute Maid Park | Friday, June 9 – The hometown ‘Stros are off to a Force-ful start in their season with one of the best records in baseball. Warp over to the ballpark for a Friday night division faceoff with the Angels, filled with Star Wars characters, themed entertainment, and a post-game fireworks show to top it off. Remaining tickets start at $11, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale network. 7:10pm.
- A Step Forward for Hispanic Women 5K in Memorial | Saturday, June 10 – With proceeds going toward Wellness for Growth, an organization serving underprivileged Hispanic women, this 5K is in its fourth year and gives families a chance to get active early on a Saturday morning for a good cause. Pre-race day registration is $30 for adults and $15 for children. 6:15am.
- Third Annual George Springer Bowling Benefit | Sunday, June 11 – Astros’ outfielder George Springer and other athletes hit the lanes for this charity event that raises funds to send children from families in need to Camp SAY, a summer camp benefiting children who stutter. Purchasing a ticket gets access to a cocktail reception and a chance to bowl alongside some of the big names on the Astros roster. Starting at $200 for an individual, there are multiple tiers of charitable donations that could be ideal for corporate giving. Reception starts at 7:30pm with bowling to follow.
- Dad’s Day 5K in Downtown | Saturday, June 17 – Ahead of Father’s Day, this race (available in 1K, 3K, and 5K lengths) begins in Downtown, running along Memorial Drive and back in the name of prostate cancer awareness. Registration closes on June 16th (no race day registration available) and costs $35 for adults and $20 for children. An opening ceremony begins the festivities at 7:30am.
- Houston Dash vs. Orlando Pride at BBVA Compass Stadium | Saturday, June 17 – The Brazilian Marta, one of the world’s greatest soccer players, has arrived in NWSL and comes to Houston this month. With a couple wins under their belt early in the season and hungry for more, the Dash look to spoil her welcome. Tickets start at $17. 7:30pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Boston Red Sox at Minute Maid Park | Saturday, June 17 – Celebrate Father’s Day at the ballpark this year and receive an Astros gym bag if you’re one of the first 10,000 through the gates. Get in with tickets as low as $22, plus you may find even cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 7:15pm.
- Houston Dynamo vs. FC Dallas at BBVA Compass Stadium | Friday, June 23 – A classic MLS rivalry is renewed at a time when these Texas teams are top of the table in the Western Conference. El Capitan, the antique Texas cannon, is up for grabs again after Houston last won it away from their neighbors up north in 2016. - Mexico vs. Ghana at NRG Stadium | Wednesday, June 28 – Their last stop before summer tournaments begin to kick off, Mexico finishes their tune-ups with a match against African opponent, Ghana. Catch “El Tri” before they head off to this year’s Gold Cup and Confederations Cup tournaments, looking for glory in both. Tickets are still available, starting at $32; but you can likely find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 8pm.
- Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees at Minute Maid Park | Friday, June 30 – After leaving the Big Apple in May with three wins from four games, the Astros defend home turf against one of the better teams in MLB.
