- Toddler Tuesday: Sesame Street – I Can Cook at Discovery Green | Tuesday, October 20 | FREE – Meet Elmo at Discovery Green. The free event includes a story time reading of the Sesame Street book I Can Cook, plus crafts from Crowning Details and the character visit. 10:30am.
- Caps for Sale: The Musical at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Tuesday, October 20 | FREE – This popular children’s story has been adapted for the stage. Enjoy the fresh air and show at Miller. 11am.
- Costume Party at Gallery Furniture Grand Parkway | Thursday, October 22 | FREE – Wear your costumes, make crafts, check out monkeys, birds and sharks. The event is free, but you need to reserve a spot. 5:30pm.
- Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo | Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25 – Celebrate Halloween early at the zoo. Wear your costumes and trick or treat at all of the activity stations! Free with admission. Friday 9am to 1pm; Weekends 9am to 4pm.
- Pumpkin Carving Workshop at The Orange Show | Saturday, October 24 – Bring your pumpkin to the The Orange Show and they will provide all the essential tools to carve it – including expert instructors! $5 suggested donation. 11am to 2pm.
- ArBOOretum at Houston Arboretum | Saturday, October 24 – Enjoys trick or treat trails, hay rides through the forest, train rides, petty zoo, pony rides, pumpkin decorating. All activities included with admission. $15 for ages 3 and up. Noon to 4pm.
- Goodnight Moon at Main Street Theater at MATCH | Saturday, October 24 – Go to the brand new MATCH arts complex in Midtown to see Main Street Theater’s production of Goodnight Moon, based on the beloved children’s book by Margaret Wise Brown. Shows are for kids 3 and older. Starts at $15. 1pm & 4pm.
