- Movie Night Mondays at Heights Bier Garten | Monday, October 15 | FREE – For the entire month of October, Heights Bier Garten will be screening Halloween-themed flicks for their family-friendly Movie Night Mondays. This Monday, they will be screening A Nightmare on Elm Street. 7pm.
- Toddler Tuesdays at Discovery Green | Tuesday, October 16 | FREE – Toddler Tuesdays, happening weekly this Fall, allow you to enjoy meaningful story time with your little ones followed by a morning of fun activities and crafts at Discovery Green. Each week is a different book. 10:30am.
- Addams Family Movie Screening at Market Square Park | Wednesday, October 17 | FREE – Bring your blankets, snap your fingers, and watch a screening of Addams Family at Market Square Park in Downtown. 7pm to 9pm.
- Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo | Friday, October 19 to Sunday, October 21 – Bring your little pumpkins to the Zoo for photos in the pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, costume parades and more. Entrance to Zoo Boo is included with Zoo admission. Times vary.
- Night Market at Asia Society Texas Center | Friday, October 19 | FREE – Asia Society Texas Center’s popular, family-friendly Night Market returns for a fall evening, filled with activities, exhibitions, food trucks, local vendors, live music and more. 6pm to 10pm.
- Wings Over Houston Airshow at Ellington Airport | Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21 – Look up to the sky in awe and see the 34th annual Wings Over Houston Airshow. This year, the 2-day airshow spectacular will feature the world-famous U.S. Navy Blue Angels, a kids area, food and beverage tents, and plenty of other flying aircraft. General admission is $40; discounted online price is $32.50. Become an Airshow Insider and receive 30% off tickets. 8am to 6pm both days.
- Love & Make’s Bath Bomb Making Workshop in Rice Village | Saturday, October 20 – Spend an afternoon or date night learning how to make bath bombs. The great smelling, spa-like treats are a burst of fizzy fun for the bath. At this workshop, Love & Make instructors will teach the basics of bath bomb construction, including adding essential oils and experimenting with fun colors. Tickets are $45 per person. 3pm.
- Fall Festival at Dewberry Farm | Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21 – Dewberry Farm in Brookshire hosts their 17th Annual Fall Festival every weekend in October. Bring the kids to snap pics at their pumpkin patch and enjoy games, live entertainment, a fireworks show and more. Tickets start at $31.82 for admission to the farm. Saturday at 10am; Sunday at 11am.
- Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival at Nature Discovery Center | Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21 – Pick out pumpkins, play festival games, ride the horse-drawn wagons and more at the Pumpkin Patch Fall Festival at Nature Discovery Center. There will also be food trucks, a bounce house and obstacle course, vendors, and photobooths. There is no cover charge for the festival, but activities, food, and drinks are on you. 11am both days.
- 10th Annual Scarecrow Festival at Cross Creek Ranch in Fulshear | Saturday, October 20 | FREE – Bring the whole family for a fun-filled day of live music, food trucks, games, carnival rides, a pumpkin patch, a large collection of scarecrows on display, dock dogs and falconry displays and more. The event is free. Unlimited carnival rides are $10 in advance; $15 at the festival. 1pm to 6pm.
- The Search for Lafitte’s Gold in La Porte | Saturday, October 20 | FREE – Scour the streets of La Porte for gold while enjoying live music, street entertainment, a pirate-themed costume contest, and food vendors during The Search for Lafitte’s Gold street festival at Five Points Plaza. 4pm to 9pm.
