  • Urban Bird Walk at Discovery Green | FREE Scope out the real wildlife of Downtown with an expert-led Urban Bird Walk at Discovery Green. Participants meet at the park’s Lakehouse Café. 11am to 12:30pm.
  • Valentine’s Day Sunset Cruise in Galveston Spend a romantic evening aboard the Seagull II for the Valentine’s Day Sunset Cruise in Galveston. The couples-only cruise will feature complimentary chocolate-covered strawberries in historic Galveston harbor. $35 per person. 5:15pm to 6:30pm.
  • Valentine’s Dinner Lecture: The Spirit of Love at Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land Experience a unique Valentine’s Day with The Spirit of Love dinner and lecture at the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land. The evening includes cocktails, a mixing experience, a three-course meal with wine service and time to explore the new Hall of Technology.   • Victorian Sweetheart Tour at 1892 Bishop’s Palace Galveston Historical Foundation’s 1892 Bishop’s Palace opens its doors for a special Valentine’s Day Victorian Sweetheart Tour. The tour will feature champagne and chocolate and will include a discussion on the history of Victorian courting. $30. 6pm.
  • Valentine’s Day Battle of the Sexes Comedy Show at Pub Fiction Bear witness to a hilarious battle of the sexes comedy show at Warehouse Live. Participating comedians include Keisha Hunt, Charles Allen, Dusti Rhodes, and Rich Williams. Tickets start at $20. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Adults Only Overnight: For the Love of Wildlife Learn about love, courtship, and mating practices in the animal kingdom at this adults-only overnight event at the Houston Zoo. Tickets include after-hours access to the zoo, a glow-in-the-dark shirt, educational activities, and next-day admission, plus dinner, a late-night snack, and a light breakfast with coffee. Tickets are $110. 6pm to 10pm.
  • Anti-Valentine’s Day Bash & Wine 101 Class at Radunare Italian American Table Skip the lovey dovey Valentines festivities in favor of Radunare Italian American Table’s Anti-Valentine’s Day Bash & Wine 101 Class. $29. 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
  • Wax & Wine: A Special Valentine’s Day Workshop at Love & Make Love & Make hosts a special Wax and Wine Valentine’s edition of their signature candle-making workshop—perfect for a date night for couples, best friends and more. This special evening event will include a wine-tasting experience by Vinology Houston. $70. 6:30pm to 9pm.
  • Valentine’s Day Mixology Class at Rosemont Rosemont’s expert bartenders host a special Valentine’s Day Mixology Class, where attendees can step behind the bar and learn to make some amazing cocktails. Working in Rosemont’s private bar, participants will start off with a welcome glass of Champagne (to ward off first-shift jitters) and will then learn how to shake, stir, peel, and pour like a pro. Everyone will make and sip on three cocktails, and enjoy light bites throughout. $75 per person. Classes are 90 minutes each and start at 7pm and 9pm.
  • Galentine’s Day Floral Design Workshop at Noted. Master the basics of floral arrangement and care while creating your own flower bouquet with friends at this Galentine’s Day Floral Design Workshop at Noted. $75. 7pm to 9pm.
  • Aventura in Concert at Toyota Center Jam out to the music of legendary Bachata band Aventura, who brings their first U.S. tour in more than 10 years to Downtown’s Toyota Center. Tickets start at $59.50, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale market. 8pm.
  • Shapel Lacey at Rec Room – Spend Valentines Day giggling with a loved one when comic Shapel Lacey, as seen on Comedy Central, Just For Laughs, and comedy festivals around the country, performs live at Downtown’s Rec Room. Tickets are $15. 9pm.
