- Hispanic/Latino/Latina/Latinx/Latine Vote at Stages | Friday to Sunday – Houston-raised playwright Bernardo Cubría explores identity, community, and the hilarious absurdity of the political machine in a laugh out loud satire. $25. 2pm or 7pm.
- Comedian Chico Bean at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – You might’ve seen him on Wild N’ Out, the Freestyle Funny Comedy Show and MTV 2’s Guy Court so don’t miss this live performance here in Houston. $70 for 2 and up. 7:30pm.
- The Wild Party at The Art Factory | Friday to Sunday – Mature audiences are welcome at this show where the audience plunges into an era of decadence, passion, and uninhibited lust set against the backdrop of the Roaring Twenties. $30. Times vary.

- Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes Opening Reception at Sabine Street Studios – Curated by artist Kelly Best Bourgeois, the artists of these Houston studio spaces come together with an exhibit that incorporates ideas of time, change, and reflection. 6pm.
- Taste America: Houston at Four Seasons Hotel – Expect absolute foodie heaven at the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America event at this walk around tasting with some of Houston’s best chefs. $175. 6pm.
- Breaking Barriers & Saving Lives with Dr. Muhammad Mohiuddin at Asia Society Texas Center – Come for an engaging and inspiring program exploring Dr. Mohiuddin’s incredible journey breaking barriers in the field of xenotransplantation as the first surgeon to successfully do a pig heart transplant in a human. $20. 6pm.
- DeCamera Young Artists in Concert: The Art of Judaica at MFAH | FREE – DaCamera Young Artists perform a live concert inspired by the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Gallery for Judaica. 6:30pm.

- Artist Talk: Ronny Quevedo at The Menil Collection | FREE – Be witness to the unveiling of Quevedo’s wall drawing, the sixth in an ongoing series of ephemeral, site-specific installations accompanied by a talk by the artists. 7pm.
- Houston All-Pro Comedy Showcase at Punchline Houston – It’s a night full of laughs with local Houston stand-ups Barry Laminack and Tre Tutson. 18+. $7.45 and up. 7:30pm.
- Walter Trout & Carolyn Wonderland in Concert at The Heights Theater – Get the chance to hear her Alligator Records debut, Tempting Fate as she’s joined by Trout, the fabled US bluesman supporting his latest album, Broken. $24 and up. 8pm.
- Drifters & Grifters in Concert at Dan Electro’s – College Station’s own alternative southern rock group headlines at the historic North Heights music venue. Houston rock band Hatbox opens the show. $10. 8pm.
- Raudiver Album Release at Black Magic Social Club – Local goth pop and synthwave band Raudiver celebrate their new album, Leave Before Dark, with a live performance on the macabre stage in the East End’s occult bar. $10. 9pm.

- 17th Annual Galveston Women’s Conference at Moody Gardens Convention Center – Actress and author Jennifer Grey, best known as Dirty’s Dancing‘s Baby, keynotes at a day full of empowerment, inspiration, and retail therapy. $225; $175 for Galveston Regional Chamber of Commerce members. 9am to 5pm.
- Friday the 13th Parties, Shows & Events Around Houston – Find creepy-themed fun and tongue-in-cheek celebrations of the “unlucky” date at bars, restaurants, clubs, and more around the city. Times vary.
- Brew at the Zoo at Houston Zoo – It’s a night out like no other with beer tastings, hard seltzers, ciders, and canned cocktails amongst the animals of the world with live music, games, and more. $35 and up. 6pm to 10pm.
- Jacolby Satterwhite: A Metta Prayer at MFAH – Local artist Chandrika Metivier creates an immersive theatrical experience honoring this exhibit with her dramatic narrative, Crysis. Included with museum admission. 6:30pm.
- Houston Grand Opera: 2024 Sarah & Ernest Butlet Studio Showcase at Cullen Theater – Get a first glimpse of HGO’s Studio class of 2025 as they perform a series of staged, costumed excerpts from a variety of operatic works. $20. 7pm.

- Mk.gee in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Indie rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Mk.gee, known for his songs “Dimeback”, “Breakthespell”, and “Western” performs on White Oak’s downstairs stage. $32.50. 7pm.
- El Bachatazo Fest at Arena Theatre – Bachata legends, Raulín Rodríguez, Zacarías Ferreíra, and Joe Veras bring their unique Latin stylings to the westside stage. $65 and up. 7pm.
- TGIF Night at Houston Toy Museum – Relive ’90s Friday nights on ABC with screenings of classic ’90s sitcoms, including Boy Meets World, Family Matters, Teen Angel, Sabrina, Full House, and more. - Noche de Cumbia at Axelrad Beer Garden in Midtown | FREE – Embrace rhythm magic on your 13th at Wonky Power’s monthly Cumbia dance party with its fiery lineups of live bands, producers, and DJs on two stages. Plus, the evening mercadito will feature goods from 12 vendors. 7pm to 2am.
- Louisiana In Texas at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – Dive straight into Louisiana culture with an all-female lineup including Grammy-nominated Marcia Ball, the Houston zydeco star Adoria and Zydeco Entourage, and Lafayette’s own Babineaux Sisters. 7:30pm.

- Pam Tillis in Concert at Main Street Crossing – Country western royalty graces the Tomball stage as Tillis performs her well-known singles and award-winning songs throughout the night. $78 and up. 8pm.
- Blue Water Highway in Concert at Goode Company Armadillo Palace – The Austin-based Americana and folk rock group lands at the Armadillo Palace celebrating their new song “Old School” along with their latest album, Year of the Dragon. $20 to $25. 8pm.
- Bobby Pulido in Concert at Warehouse Live Midtown – Originally born in the Rio Grande Valley, the regional Mexican headliner will be joined by his band and father Roberto Pulido on the Midtown stage. $13.88 and up. 9pm.
- Friday the 13th Concert at Black Magic Social Club – The creepy date finds a home as four bands—Von Noir, Cavyrns, Sound Burier and Alone on the Moon—take to the skeleton covered stage inside the occult dive bar on Harrisburg Boulevard. $15. Doors at 4pm; music 9pm to 12:30pm.
- Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Friday the 13th Party at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse on Washington Avenue | No Cover – The original Betelgeuse Betelgeuse continues its Beetlejuice-inspired pop-up with a Friday night party complete with free tattoos, a Beetlejuice costume party, karaoke, Beetlejuice cocktails, tacos, and pizza. 9pm to 1am.
- Freaky Friday the 13th Improv at Station Improv & Sketch Comedy Theater in First Ward – Station’s lineup of improv and comedy acts put a spooky spin on the 13th, but promise the audience that it’s what they’d be expecting. $8. 9:30pm.
- Lee Burridge DJ Set at Bauhaus – The United Kingdom legend and All Day I Dream party series founder—known for launching the underground club scene in Hong Kong during the early ’90s—takes to the decks in the Downtown hot spot. $15 and up. 10pm.
