- Disney on Ice at NRG | Daily – Join your favorite characters in a celebration of 75 years of Disney Princess stories at Disney on Ice: Dare to Dream at NRG Park. Tickets start at $20, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s online resale market. Thursday 7:30pm; Friday 10:30am and 7:30pm; Saturday 11:30am, 3:30pm, and 7:30pm; Sunday 1:30pm and 5:30pm.
- Nutcracker Market at NRG Center | Daily – Shop till you drop during this annual market hosted by the Houston Ballet. With everything from specialty foods, decor, vintage goods, gifts, clothing, and jewelry, you’ll find something for everyone on your list. Tickets start at $20, not including ticket fees. Thursday and Friday 10am to 8pm; Saturday and Sunday 10am to 6pm.
- Houston Cinema Arts Festival at Venues Around Houston | Daily – The Houston Cinema Arts Festival brings more than 50 films along with filmmakers and directors to Houston for a week of screenings and discussions at venues like Sundance Cinemas, MFAH, Project Row Houses, the Menil and more. Times, locations and prices vary.
- National Museum of Funeral History’s Veterans Appreciation Week | Daily – Check out the Vietnam Memorial photography exhibit and the military funeral traditions exhibit at NMFH. Admission is free to all veterans. $10; free for veterans. Thursday and Friday 10am to 4pm; Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday noon to 5pm.
- The Judgement of Fools at the Rec Room | Daily – Get ready for a laugh out loud comedic show unlike any you’ve ever experienced. The audience will be invited to get involved by sharing their thoughts as the cast pokes and prods them throughout the performance. Tickets start at $25, not including ticket fees. 8pm nightly; bonus 10pm show on Saturday.
- Alley Theatre presents Remote Houston | Thursday and Friday – Join a group of fifty people swarming out into the city on a guided audio tour that seems to follow you, as much you are following it. Tickets are $39. 4pm both days.
- Cinderella at The Hobby Center | Thursday and Friday – The Hobby Center welcomes American Ballet Theatre’s Misty Copeland and Calvin Royal III to the stage for two performances of Cinderella in celebration of composer Sergei Prokofiev’s 125th Anniversary. Tickets start at $40, not including ticket fees. Thursday 7:30pm; Friday 8pm.
- The Woodlands Restaurant Week | Thursday and Friday – Eat out for a good cause at participating restaurants in The Woodlands where a portion of your menu purchase will benefit the Montgomery County Food Bank. Times and prices vary by location.
- Eureka Heights Beer and Pizza Pairing at Your Pie | Friday and Saturday – Dig in with a pizza taster, featuring four different pizza slices, paired with four craft brews from Eureka Heights at Your Pie’s special Eureka Heights Beer and Pizza Pairing. The $20 dinner price includes the pizza and four beer tasters. For $25 guests receive the pizza and four beer tasters, a Moo Caliente gelato float or Tahitian vanilla gelato, and a Eureka Heights pint glass. Friday 6pm to 11pm; Saturday 4pm to 11pm.
- Chantal Warehouse Sale | Friday to Sunday | FREE to Attend – Get your holiday shopping done with up to 75% off on discontinued, overstocked, and one-of-a-kind cookware at the Chantal Warehouse Sale. Friday and Saturday 9am to 6pm; Sunday noon to 5pm.

- Children’s Festival in The Woodlands | Saturday and Sunday – Bring the kiddos out to The Woodlands for two days full of character appearances, performances, adventure zones, science experiments, arts and crafts and more. - The Bronze Gold Speakeasy at Prohibition Supperclub & Bar – Head to the Prohibition Theater for this variety show featuring everything from a live band and comedian to an aerial artist and a juggler. $20, but you may find limited discounted $10 tickets. 7pm.
- Black Sabbath in Concert at Toyota Center – Say farewell to the legendary metal band Black Sabbath when they play at the Toyota Center for the final time. Tickets start at $49.50, but you may find limited seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 7:30pm.
- Broken Glass at the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center | FREE – Sit in and listen to this staged reading of Broken Glass, which shows how the horror of Kristallnacht affected one American Jewish woman. Tickets are free, but you must RSVP. 7:30pm.
- The Five-Minute Mile at Obsidian Theater – Experience this unique show that features an assortment of storylines, genres and characters all performed in five-minute increments. Each show is different and the audience gets to select the final 6 performances of the night. $18; limited discounted $9 tickets available. 8pm.

- Veterans Day Celebration at City Hall | FREE – Join Mayor Turner in honoring veterans during the “Houston Salutes American Heroes” Veterans Day Celebration event at City Hall. The day includes a Job and Resource Fair, health screenings, flu shots, and a moment of silence and 21-gun salute honoring all military personnel. 10am.
- Free Train Rides for Veterans at Hermann Park – Veterans are invited to climb aboard the train and ride the Hermann Park Railroad for free on Veterans Day. Free for veterans. 10am to 5pm.
- Houston No Limits Football & Freedom Movie Night at Discovery Green – On this Veteran’s Day, Greater Houston Partnership will tip their hats to local vets and jump into Houston’s fifth football season with a screening of football fan favorite, The Blind Side. The screening is free to attend and is rated PG-13. 6pm to 9pm.
- Houston Cougars Basketball vs. Morgan State Bears at Hofheinz Pavilion – Don’t miss the regular-season opener for the UH men’s basketball team. Tickets start at $10, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s online resale market. 7pm.
