- Zine Fest Houston at Lawndale Art Center – With 72 vendors and over 1,000 attendees in 2015, the fest continues to grow apace and 2016 promises to be its biggest year ever. 2pm to 8pm.
- Harvest Hootenanny at the Hub Studio – Featuring the talent of several local Houstonians, this wide-ranging production boasts an impressive mix of acts. Plus, a portion of the proceeds goes to charity. Tickets start at $25, not including tickets. 8pm.
- 6th Annual Bayou City Poetry Grand Slam at Alley Theatre – Savannah Blue Arts & Outreach brings some of the nation’s top performing Slam Poets to Houston for an all-out word brawl at the Alley Theatre. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of. 7pm to 10pm.
- DJ Tony Moran Spins at Rich’s Houston – Dance all night to the thunderous beats of New Yorker Tony Moran when he plays songs by Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and more and the LGBT-friendly club Rich’s Houston. - Nonkonformist: A Trunk Show at El Bambi – Local independent fashion designer Falon Felscher has a special trunk show at the vintage shop, El Bambi. Shop for unique finds while enjoying refreshments and live music. 2pm to 5pm.
