• Art Crawl Houston 2016 at The Hardy & Nance Studios | Saturday and Sunday | FREE – Artists in the old and historic Downtown Art Warehouse District open the doors to their working studios and invite the public in for a peek at what goes on down for the Art Crawl. • HMNS After Dark – For everyone who has wished for access to the museum in the cool evenings after work, here’s your chance to check out the Houston Museum of Natural Science After Dark. Tickets are $25. 5pm to 9pm.
• Warpaint in Concert at Warehouse Live – Catch rock band Warpaint with openers Goldensuns and VS Colour at Warehouse Live. Tickets are $25 in advance and $27 at the door, not including ticket fees. 7pm.

• Eat. Drink. Art. at Houston Museum of African American Culture – Eat. Drink. • Friday Night Live with RuPaul’s Drag Race Shangela at Rich’s – RuPaul’s Drag Race diva Shangela brings the T and delivers a show-stopping performance to Rich’s Houston along with a meet and greet. Free entry before 11pm. 10pm to 2am.

• Zine Fest Houston at Lawndale Art Center – With 72 vendors and over 1,000 attendees in 2015, the fest continues to grow apace and 2016 promises to be its biggest year ever. 2pm to 8pm.
• Harvest Hootenanny at the Hub Studio – Featuring the talent of several local Houstonians, this wide-ranging production boasts an impressive mix of acts. Plus, a portion of the proceeds goes to charity. Tickets start at $25, not including tickets. 8pm.
• 6th Annual Bayou City Poetry Grand Slam at Alley Theatre – Savannah Blue Arts & Outreach brings some of the nation’s top performing Slam Poets to Houston for an all-out word brawl at the Alley Theatre. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of. 7pm to 10pm.
• DJ Tony Moran Spins at Rich’s Houston – Dance all night to the thunderous beats of New Yorker Tony Moran when he plays songs by Beyonce, Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and more and the LGBT-friendly club Rich’s Houston. No cover before 11pm and complimentary entry at any time with an Uber receipt. 10pm to 2am.

• Houston Barbecue Throwdown at Saint Arnold Brewery – The 2nd annual Houston BBQ Throwdown will feature 14 of Houston’s best barbecue restaurants competing to create the next great barbecue dish that represents Houston-style barbecue. • Nonkonformist: A Trunk Show at El Bambi – Local independent fashion designer Falon Felscher has a special trunk show at the vintage shop, El Bambi. Shop for unique finds while enjoying refreshments and live music. 2pm to 5pm.
• Amy Schumer at Toyota Center – Laugh it up with comedian, writer, and actress Amy Schumer at the Toyota Center in Downtown. Tickets start at $39, but you may find cheaper or better seats onTicketNetwork’s online resale market. 7pm.
• Labyrinth Quote & Sing-Along at Alamo Drafthouse Vintage Park – Quote and sing-along to the classic Jim Henson film Labyrinth at Alamo Drafthouse Vintage Park. They will provide an assortment of goodies in your prop bag, including bubbles to transport you to Sarah’s dreamy ball and more. Tickets are $12. 7:30pm.
