In our Where to Happy Hour series, we search Houston’s vast array of neighborhoods for the very best libations.

Just southwest of Downtown, the Museum District is a beautiful section of town that plays home to an organization of 20 museums, galleries, cultural centers, and community organizations.

With so much culture and beauty, there’s no shortage of entertainment here, including plenty of thirst-quenching happy hours.

Note: For the purposes of this list, the Museum District is defined as the area bordered by Richmond/Wheeler to the north, Montrose/Main to the west, Holcombe to the south and 288 to the east, plus the Menil Campus.

Other specials include the Thursday Night Wine Tasting, with five selections of wine for $29 per person (3-ounce pours each) on Thursdays from 4pm to close.
