
Take in one or more of the traditional, raucous, and family-friendly Mardi Gras events in Houston and along the beach in Galveston on Fat Tuesday, February 13, 2024.
Let the good times roll while they can, because Mardi Gras wraps up promptly at midnight tonight. But there’s still plenty of time to get in on the party.
Mardi Gras Events Around Houston on Fat Tuesday 2024
- Mardi Gras Celebration & Parade at the Woodlands Children’s Museum – Families are welcome to come celebrate Fat Tuesday in the Woodlands with face painting, mask crafts and noise makers to use in one of two parades happening in the morning. Don’t forget to grab a slice of King Cake on the way out. $9 for ages 1 and up. 10am to 2pm.
- Mardi Craw Party at the Rustic Downtown | FREE – The brunch spot and music hall goes all out with an all-day crawfish boil, drink specials, plus live music from Javi Jay and the Bourbon Street Experience, face painting, beads, photo ops and more. 11am.
- Fat Tuesday at Brasserie 19 | No Cover – The posh River Oaks restaurant celebrates Fat Tuesday with live music from the Boomtown Brass Second Line Band, plus special Mardi Gras cocktails including Sazeracs and hurricanes. 5pm.
- Fat Tuesday Celebration at Galveston Arts Center – On the Island, you can grab a prime spot for the big sendoff parade at the Galveston Arts Center on Market Street, which will serve up complimentary hors d’oeuvres and refreshing beverages. $55; includes membership to GAC. 5pm to 8pm.
- Mardi Gras Party at Brennan’s of Houston – The iconic New Orleans–born restaurant will welcome Mardi Gras revelers with a special three-course dinner, live entertainment and boisterous second line through the dining room. Folks can also start the party with a Lundi Gras Supper on Monday, February 12, honoring the King of Zulu and the King of Carnival with a special menu and roaming jazz musicians. 5pm to 9pm.
- 113th Mardi Gras! Galveston in Downtown Galveston – The third largest Mardi Gras in the United States closes out the 2024 season with one last night of Mardi Gras revelry before it’s time to repent. General admission starts at $14; free for ages 12 and under. 6pm to midnight.
- Fat Tuesday Party at Daiquiri Time Out | FREE – The Galveston hotspot for frozens celebrates the end of Mardi Gras with live music from the Free Radicals, a view of the parade and more celebratory fun. 6:45pm.
