Shop from artisans, farmers, small businesses, and local vendors at a huge slate of indoor and outdoor pop-up markets taking place in and around Houston in December 2021.

Over the last several months, Houston has seen dozens of local vendors and farmers markets spring up across the city, offering everyone a chance to shop local and support small businesses in H-Town.

We’ve gathered 10 of the most enticing markets taking place across the city of Houston in December 2021, but you can find more holiday markets taking place with our guide to the holiday season pop-ups.

Many of these markets continue to adapt to evolving health and safety precautions, so be sure to check with the organizer before attending for their policy on things like face masks, social distancing, or whether it allows cash transactions.

Week of Monday, November 29, 2021

  • Holiday Festival at Levy Park | Saturday, December 4 & Sunday, December 5 | FREE Bring the whole family to the park for the fourth annual Levy Park Holiday Festival. The free two-day festival features a holiday market, a craft station, live music performances throughout the park, a special performance by River Oaks Dance, a free photo booth with special guests including Santa Claus and holiday characters from Vitacca Dance, and food and drink concessions. Noon to 5pm.
  • Bayou City Clay Crawl 2021 at Multiple Studios | Sunday, December 5 | FREE – Get your hands on one-of-a-kind clay creations that make for great gifts this holiday season when the Bayou City Clay Crawl opens up 7 ceramic studios across the city for visitors to check out, learn about the artistry of the clay world, and shop unique pieces for sale. While mostly in the Heights, studios are also branched out to Second Ward and Independence Heights. 10am to 5pm.
  • Christmas Pop-Up Market in Old Town Harrisburg | Sunday, December 5 | No Cover – Head to the East End to shop from local stores and vendors in a charming, outdoor market. Expect live music, ballet folklorico performances, a bounce house, kids games, and more. Noon to 5pm.
  • Mistletoe Christmas Market at Trading Spaces HTX | Sunday, December 5 | No Cover – Explore new vendors just in time for the holiday season at Mistletoe Market in Spring Branch. Grab a couple of drinks, some snacks and shop your heart out. Noon to 6pm.

Week of Monday, December 6, 2021

  • Midtown Mistletoe Market 2021 at Bagby Park | Friday, December 10 & Saturday, December 11 | FREE – Get a head start on your holiday shopping at the annual Midtown Houston Mistletoe Market, a boutique-style market at Bagby Park. Take in the beautiful holiday decor while walking through aisles that feature fine arts, handmade crafts, epicurean style foods, holiday movie screenings, DIY Gift stations, and live entertainment. Noon to 8pm.
  • Tomball German Festival Christmas Market at Tomball Railroad Depot Plaza | Friday, December 10 to Sunday, December 12 | FREE – Do as the Germans do and celebrate Christmas with plenty of food, beer, and wine, as well as live music on three stages, a petting zoo, and a holiday market featuring more than 150 vendors with antiques, arts and crafts, souvenirs, and more. Times vary.
  • Heights Mercantile Holiday Market in the Heights | Saturday, December 11 | No Cover – Staked out along the promenade and sidewalks of Heights Mercantile, you’ll find a holiday market offering goods and gifts from local artists and small business vendors. 10am to 5pm.
  • Horror Market Pop-Up at the Raven Tower | Saturday, December 11 – The Horror Market returns, featuring plenty of great gift ideas for the spooky movie enthusiast in your life, plus a slate of horror celebrities from films like Halloween, Creepshow, Scary Movie, and more. Tickets are $5, with a special souvenir poster package available. Noon to 6pm.
  • Bazaar on the Bayou: Winter Market at White Oak Music Hall | Sunday, December 12 | No Cover – More than 75 local vendors will be on hand for this supersized winter market at White Oak Music Hall later this month. The pet-friendly market will have DJs spinning throughout and you can also grab a drink on the Raven Tower patio. 10am to 5pm.

Week of Monday, December 13, 2021

  • A BLCK Christmas Holiday Market at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum | Saturday, December 18 – This third annual Holiday Market from the minds behind BLCK Market offers the opportunity to shop from local, Black-owned businesses to find the perfect gift for your friends and family—or just yourself. Limited free admissions are available; $5 after that. 1pm to 5pm.
  • The Holiday Brunch! Mixer & Market at Pitch 25 Beer Park | Sunday, December 19 | No Cover – In EaDo, this annual market returns to Pitch 25, offering a yoga session and fitness bootcamp to go with a selection of vendors and makers with festive goods. Plus, try your worst at the ugly sweater contest, snag a photo with Santa, and enjoy live music, food, drink and more. Yoga and fitness bootcamps are $5 each; entry to the market is free. 11am to 4:30pm.
