93Q Star Party at 713 Music Hall | Wednesday, December 4 – Organized by country radio station 93Q, the excluis concert features a lineup that includes Megan Moroney, Parmalee, Ennest, Dasha, Tucker Wetmore and Zach Top. $197 and up, but you may find better or cheaper seats on the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 7:30pm.

Girl In A Coma in Concert at Last Concert Cafe | Friday, December 6 – The indie, all-girl rock outfit out of San Antonio plays at the landmark concert venue and Tex Mex restaurant in Downtown’s Artist Warehouse District. Pinkie Promise opens. $20. 8pm.

An Evening with Fantasia at Smart Financial Centre | Sunday, December 8 – The Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to fame by winning the third season of American Idol takes to the Sugar Land stage for a night of contemporary R&B and soul. Michelle opens the show. $74, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the online TicketNetwork marketplace. 7pm.

Hayes Carll & The Band of Heathens in Concert at The Heights Theater | Sunday, December 8 – Having already sold out their Saturday show, Hayes Carll and The Heathens’ Ed Jurdi and Gordy Quist perform together in a single show playing some of the best rock ’n roll, folk, country, and soulful blues anthems of the last two decades. Likely to sell out before showtime. $32 and up. 8pm.

Babyface Ray in Concert at House of Blues | Monday, December 9 – The Detroit rapper, known for “What the Business Is,” “Gallery Dept,” and “Family > Money” plays the music hall stage at GreenStreet’s House of Blues. $30 and up. 7pm.

Yo-Yo Ma in Concert with Houston Symphony at Jones Hall | Monday, December 9 – The extraordinary 19-time Grammy-winner joins the Houston Symphony for Dvořák’s heart-achingly beautiful Cello Concerto in a 1-night-only event at Jones Hall. Remaining tickets start at $355 and will only be delivered by mail. 7:30pm.

Ben Folds in Concert at Jones Hall | Tuesday, December 10 – Performing Arts Houston welcomes one of the major music influencers of Generation X. Known for his genre-bending music, including classic ’90s albums with Ben Folds Five, he’ll be joined by Lindsey Kraft on his Paper Airplane Request Tour. Yep, he’ll be playing the audience’s favorite songs as requested by paper airplane thrown to the stage. $30 and up. 7:30pm.

Ride in Concert at White Oak Music Hall | Thursday, December 12 – Originally formed in Oxford, England back in 1988, the alternative, neo-psychedelia and Britpop band plays WOMH’s downstairs stage. $22.60 and up. 7pm.

Kenny G. in Concert at Smart Financial Centre | Thursday, December 12 – The renowned saxophonist brings his signature fusion of R&B, pop, Latin, and jazz to Sugar Land on his Miracles and Holiday Hits Tour, mixing seasonal classics and hits from his own playlist. $49 and up. 8pm.

Houston Symphony: A Very Merry Pops at Jones Hall | Thursday, December 12 to Sunday, December 15  The Symphony’s annual holiday offering returns, bringing with it familiar favorites to make the rafters ring. The concert features the Houston Symphony Chorus and Tony-nominated Broadway star, Betsy Wolfe. $52 and up. Thursday 7:30pm; Saturday 7:30pm and Sunday 2pm and 7:30pm.

Destroy Lonely in Concert at 713 Music Hall | Friday, December 13 – The 23-year old rapper, singer and songwriter from Atlanta—known for “Nostylist,” “Luv 4 Ya,” and “If Looks Could Kill”—lands on the Post Houston stage in Downtown on his Forever Tour. $53.50 and up. 8pm.

Dawes in Concert at The Heights Theater | Saturday, December 14 – The California folk rock band composed of brothers Taylor and Griffin Goldsmith bring their Laurel Canyon-influenced sound to the stage off historic 19th Street in the Heights. Winnetka Bowling League opens the show. $36 and up. 7pm.

Sara Evans in Concert at Arena Theatre | Saturday, December 14 – The multiple award-winning country artist brings a night of country and holiday music to West Houston on her 21 Days of Christmas tour. $31 and up. 8:30pm.

Pat Green Acoustic Set at The Rustic Post Oak | Sunday, December 15 – The Texas country artist who rose through the college town and dancehall scene in the ’90s to become the poster child of Texas music performs an acoustic show, joined by Charlie Mccabe and Joey Junior $30 and up. Seated dinner options available. 6pm.

Herb Alpert & Lani Hall: A Christmas Wish at Cullen Performance Hall | Sunday, December 15 – Legendary music icon Herb Alpert and his wife Lani Hall perform an eclectic mix of American standards, Christmas songs, Brazilian jazz, Beatles, and some classic Tijuana Brass and Brazil ’66 hits in a unique nostalgia-fueled concert. $23 to $123. 7:30pm.

Michael W. Smith: Every Christmas at Cullen Performance Hall | Monday, December 16 – Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Michael W. Smith and his award-winning special guest, Riley Clemmon,s perform their most popular Christmas classics at a family friendly concert. $54.75 and up. 7pm.

Robert Glasper in Concert at House of Blues | Tuesday, December 17 – Houston’s native son—and 5-time Grammy-winning jazz pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger—comes to the House of Blues for an evening of R&B, soul, and jazz. $40 and up. 7pm.

Robert Earl Keen’s Lights, Camera, Christmas! at House of Blues | Thursday, December 19 – Resurrecting his iconic Merry Christmas From The Family show, named for his tongue-in-cheek-but-rings-true holiday song, Keen brings his holiday favorites, hits and more to Downtown Houston. John R. Miller opens. $65 and up. 7pm.

Jack Ingram in Concert at The Heights Theater | Thursday, December 19 – Born and raised in The Woodlands, the Texas singer-songwriter and country star plays an intimate show on the Heights Theater stage, with special guest Blu Sanders. $24 and up. 8pm.

deadmau5 Live Set at Stereo Live | Friday, December 20 – The 7-time Grammy-nominated Canadian dance and electronic music producer and DJ—who, for the initiated, frequently performs wearing a giant, futuristic glowing metallic mouse cartoon head—rules the decks for one night at the westside dance club. $89. 10pm to 2am.

Lil Weezyana presents Hot Boys Holiday in Concert at Toyota Center | Saturday, December 21 – Following their massively successful reunion at Lil Weezyana Fest in New Orleans, Hot Boys and Big Tymers reunite for a holiday hip hop blow out in Houston a few days before Christmas. The Hot Boys are Lil Wayne, BG, Juvenile, and Turk, while the Big Tymers are Birdman and Mannie Fresh. $69 and up. 8pm.

Randy Rogers Band in Concert at 713 Music Hall | Saturday, December 21 – Hailing from San Marcos, the Texas country sextet known for “I Won’t Give Up,” “In My Arms Instead,” and “Kiss Me In The Dark” hit the Downtown stage. $32 and up. 8pm.

Home for the Holidays: Carolyn Wonderland, Marcia Ball & Shelley King at The Heights Theater | Saturday, December 21 – It’s holiday time in the Heights as the renowned trio of Texas musicians unite for an evening of seasonal songs. $26 and up. 8pm.

Mariachi Sol de México de Jose Hernandez: Jose Hernandez’ Merry-Achi Christmas at Jones Hall | Monday, December 23  José Hernández and his world-renowned, platinum-selling Mariachi Sol de México perform treasured holiday classics and favorites from the mariachi songbook for all ages to enjoy. $46 and up. 7:30pm.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra: The Lost Christmas Eve Concert at Toyota Center | Thursday, December 26 – The acclaimed orchestral rock ensemble brings its signature holiday tradition back to the Downtown stage, complete with dazzling spectacle packed with pyrotechnics, lasers, and incredible storytelling. $64 and up, but you may find cheaper or better seats on the online resale market. 3pm and 7:30pm.

Bone Thugs-N-Harmony in Concert at House of Blues | Saturday, June 28 – Cleveland sons Bizzy Bone, Wish Bone, Layzie Bone, Krayzie Bone, and Flesh-n-Bone bring the “The Crossroads” and their hip hop catalogue to the House of Blues. $35 and up. 7pm.

Uncle Lucius in Concert at The Heights Theater | Saturday, June 28 – With their unique blend of roots rock and roll and country soul, the 4-man Austin band comes to the Heights, with Sir Woman—named Austin Music Award’s Best New Act of 2020—opening the show. $28 and up. 8pm.

Toadies in Concert at House of Blues | Sunday, June 29 – Formed in Fort Worth back in 1989, the 4-man rock bands is best known for the song “Possum Kingdom.” They come to Downtown Houston to wrap up 2024. Vandoliers open the show. $32.50 to $59.50. 7pm.

Gimme Gimme Disco at White Oak Music Hall | Sunday, June 29 – While it’s not exactly live music, the frenetic dance energy of this ABBA-inspired DJ-led party is the perfect way to get in your New Year’s Eve party practice on a Sunday night that may not be followed by Monday morning work. $20. 9pm.

Reckless Kelly, with Shinyribs in Concert at House of Blues | New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31 – Fresh off the release of their latest album, The Last Frontier, the long-running ’90s country rock band closes out 2024, with a live show where they’ll be joined by Shinyribs. $45 and up. 8pm.

NYE with Grammy-winning Rebirth Brass Band in Concert at The Heights Theater | New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31 – “Do Watcha Wanna” for NYW if you “Wanna Feel Like Funkin’ it Up” with New Orleans’ Grammy-winning, crowd-pleasing, toe-tapping outfit that pulls jazz, funk, soul, R&B into an authentic homes to New Orleans brass band tradition. $38 and up. 9pm.
