Discover a season of festivities across Greater Houston with our guide to 60+ spring festivals highlighting the worlds of art, music, culture, film and more, now through Saturday, May 31, 2025.

Spring is upon us arrived in Houston, bringing with it a busy festival calendar throughout the Greater Houston region.

We’ve gathered more than 60 of the city’s best spring festivals, from the second half of March through May, to get on your schedule all season long.

More events will be added later in the season as details are finalized and confirmed.

2025 Spring Festivals in Greater Houston

From March to May 2025, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to dive into festivals that celebrate the worlds of art, music, film, cultures from around the globe, and plain ol’ fun.

Events are not ranked but are listed in chronological order, by start date and time and then by end date and time.

Spring Festivals in March 2025

Third Week of March: March 17 to 23, 2025

Final Week: Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at NRG Park | Daily | Closes Sunday, March 23 – As always, Rodeo signifies the end of Houston’s winter and the arrival of spring. But as the new season starts, there’s still time to enjoy rodeo action, live concerts, carnival rides, outrageous festival food, drinks, and more. Rodeo grounds open from 8am to midnight daily. Event times vary.

53rd Annual Buffalo Bayou Partnership Regatta on Buffalo Bayou – Cheer on paddlers at the largest canoe and kayak race in Texas, or join in the face. A celebration follows at the end of the route at Allen’s Landing. $60; $65 day of. 9am to 1:30am.

11th Annual Heights Kids’ Day of Music at Love Park | Saturday, March 22 | FREE – Soak in 3 stages of music with more than 30 arts organizations, a musical immersion with an instrument petting zoo, a singing station, a drumming tent, and more. 10am to 2pm.

International Art & Kite Festival at Crown Festival Park | Saturday, March 22 | FREE Look to the sky for high flying kites and a day full of family entertainment at the annual Sugar Land festival, with art, music, dancing, food, art cars, live performances, and more. 10am to 3pm.

19th Annual Empty Bowls Houston at HCCC | Saturday, March 22 – Select a bowl from thousands of one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted bowls donated by Houston area ceramists and craft artists, then fill it up with a tasty lunch, at the popular fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank. $25 for a bowl and food. 10am to 3pm.

Houston OMG Food Fest at Midtown Park | Saturday, March 22 – Experience the unique OMG Food Fest—the self-described “World’s first hip-hop food festival”—in Midtown. Indulge in foods like tacos, boudin, barbecue, and turkey legs while live DJs and bands play hip hop, rap, and old school music. $8. 2pm to 10pm.

Houston Brazilian Carnaval at Ayva Center | Saturday, March 22 Arrive in your best Carnaval attire for an epic night of authentic Samba music and dancing to Rio’s legendary Samba band, Fundo De Quintal. $45 and up. 8pm to 11:30pm.

21st Annual Houston Jewish Film Festival at Evelyn R. Rubenstein JCC | Saturday, March 22 to Saturday, April 5 – The annual festival kicks off in March, ushering in a series of entertaining and exceptional award-winning films that showcase Jewish lives and stories. Individual screenings are $9 and up; pick-three films is available for $55. Times vary.

16th Annual Nowruz Festival at Bayou City Event Center Sunday, March 23 – The Iranian Cultural Foundation presents a live event featuring 25 Band, special Persian folkloric dance performances by Louchia, and more. $30 and up; $5 for ages 2 to 10; free for ages 2 and under. 3pm to 9pm.

Last Week of March: March 24 to 30, 2025

Tomball German Heritage Festival in Old Town Tomball | Friday, March 28 to Sunday, March 30 | FREE – Tomball’s annual family-friendly German Fest fills the streets with 200+ vendors rocking antiques, arts and crafts, cultural music, street performances, a heritage center, and tasty German fare and festival eats, and beer and wine. Times vary.

Vegan BrewFest Houston at Karbach Brewing Co | Saturday, March 29 | FREE This ultimate plant-powered experience brings together vendors, live performances, and entertainment for a day of vegan food, craft brews, and community vibes. Noon to 8pm.

Jazz Fest at Kemah Boardwalk | Saturday, March 29 | FREE – Enjoy an all day jazz music festival showcasing high and middle school jazz bands performing all day and into the evening. Noon to 8pm.

Houston Whiskey Riot at Post Houston | Saturday, March 29  Choose from 200 whiskeys to sample, enjoy seminars and conversations with whiskey lovers, distillers, brand founders, and fine more ways to connect and become a whiskey expert. $75 and up. 4pm to 7pm.

Aurora Picture Show & Buffalo Bayou Partnership: Night Light 2025 at Buffalo Bayou East Waterfront | Saturday, March 29 | FREE – With Tony Marron Park undergoing expansion and improvement, Night Light moves east along a half mile stretch of trails. Wander the banks of the bayou and see new, site-specific light and moving image installations, and enjoy food trucks, vendors and a DJ. 8pm to 10pm.

Bayou City Art Festival in Downtown Houston | Saturday, March 29 & Sunday, March 30 – Houston’s iconic art festival returns this spring with artwork from more than 250 artists across 19 different categories, all on display browse and take home. Plus, enjoy 2 entertainment stages, a food truck park, culinary demos, drink stations and more. $18; $5 for ages 12 and under. 10am to 6pm both days.

Spring Festivals in April 2025

First Week of April: March 31 to April 6, 2025

3rd Annual The Riot Comedy Festival at The Riot Comedy Club, Rudyard’s Pub & The Gordy | Thursday, April 3 to Sunday, April 6 One of Houston’s newest spring tradition additions, the 4-day, out-of-this-world celebration of comedy presents 50+ performers in 30+ shows on 4 indoor stages in the heart of Montrose, plus the new Comedy & BBQ Cookoff centerpiece on Saturday. $44 and up for individual shows; $119 and up for all-access. Times vary.

Montgomery County Fair & Rodeo at Montgomery County Fairgrounds | Thursday, April 3 to Sunday, April 13 – If you’re still itching for your Rodeo fix, Montgomery County is here to help with 11 days of carnival, live music, a bbq cook-off, and livestock contests, and more. $5 to $25. Times vary.

FoodieLand Food Festival at NRG Park | Friday, April 4 to Sunday, April 6 – Also in the wake of the Rodeo, the 3-day family-friendly fest takes over NRG, offering the chance to experience food and flavors from across a diverse array of cuisines, with 185+ vendors, games, live entertainment, and more. $7. Times vary.

Yafavz Spring Fest Pop Up at 8th Wonder | Saturday, April 5 | No Cover – Celebrate all things spring in EaDo’s backyard with live DJ music, a crawfish boil, 50+ local vendors, and 8th Wonder vibes. 11am to 5pm.

Houston Oyster & Seafest at Buffalo Bayou Park | Saturday, April 5 The Galveston Bay Foundation’s annual event showcases Greater Houston restaurants serving up dishes where the oyster is the star, plus live music, cocktails, exhibits and more. $35 and up. 11:30am to 2:30pm.

Czech Spring Festival at Czech Center Museum Houston | Saturday, April 5 – With a focus on celebrating Czech and Slovak culture, heritage, and traditions, the annual fest brings back its annual celebration of traditional music, folk dances, delicious food, and more. $8 and up. Noon to 5pm.

EnergyFest at Addicks Park & Ride | Saturday, April 5 | FREE – Take in live music, rides and attractions, a vendor market, beer and wine patio, and local flavors in the Energy Corridor. Noon to 5pm.

Neighborhood Community Day at The Menil Collection | Saturday, April 5 | FREE – Montrose’s beloved art museum campus welcomes everyone to an afternoon of art, music, poetry, and family activities in the surrounding neighborhood and 30 years of the Collections’ Cy Twombly Gallery. 1pm to 5pm.

LA TX Fest 2025 at H-Town Fairgrounds | Saturday, April 5 – Enjoy the best of both sides of the Louisiana-Texas border at a family-friendly fest with live music and food from both states. $10. 3pm to 9pm.

Houston One Love Festival at GSH Event Center | Saturday, April 5 – The ages 21+ festival will celebrate African American, Caribbean, African and Afro-Latin culture with businesses, food vendors, live DJs, entertainment, giveaways, and more. $10 and up. 5pm to 10pm.

12th Annual Houston Barbecue Festival at Humble Civic Center | Sunday, April 6 – Barbecue lovers can come together as the annual fest gathers 30+ of Houston’s best barbecue joints together in northeast Houston. $60 and up. 1pm to 4pm.

Second Week of April: April 7 to 13, 2025

Galveston Steampunk Festival at Galveston Railroad Museum | Friday, April 11 to Sunday, April 13 – Go wild for the future that never was a 3-day weekend celebrating the sci-fi subgenre that mashes Victorian-era tech with retro-futurism. The main event is on Saturday, with live music and entertainment, a costume contest, games like archery and axe throwing, and more. $35 and up; $15 for ages 11 and under. Saturday 11am to 10pm; other activities times vary.

20th Annual The Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival in Town Green Park | Friday, April 11 to Sunday, April 13 A certain marker that spring has arrived, The Woodlands’ standout spring event brings more than 200 accomplished artists out to the Waterway shores and surroundings with live music, entertainment, and food and drink. $15 to $33; free for ages 12 and under. Times vary.

Super Saturday: Joyous Eid at Asia Society Texas Center | Saturday, April 12 | FREE with RSVP – Kids and families can mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan at a mini festival celebrating Islamic culture through food, crafts, music, and more. RSVP required. 10:30am to 2:30pm.

3rd Annual Spring Fest at Houston’s First Baptist Church Downtown Campus | Saturday, April 12 | FREE – All are welcome at a midday celebration with an egg hunt, pickleball, dodgeball, basketball, trackless train rides, inflatables, and more. 11am to 2pm.

2nd Annual Echoes in the Park: Community Chamber Concert & Festival at Ray Miller Park | Saturday, April 12 | FREE ECHO, the Energy Corridor of Houston Orchestra, headlines an afternoon of free classical chamber music featuring 3 other local chamber groups, an artisan market hosted by The Art Cellar of Houston, local food vendors, activities, and more. 11am to 4pm.

Selena Celebration Vendor Fair at Pearland Town Center | Saturday, April 12 | FREE Celebrate the “Queen of Tejano” as local vendors and small businesses come together for a Selena-themed market in Pearland. 11am to 6pm.

38th Annual Houston Art Car Parade on Allen Parkway & in Downtown | Saturday, April 12 | FREE – One of Houston’s most beloved events—and the largest celebration of its kind in the world with over 250 cars—gets rolling on Allen Parkway and circles City Hall for its 38th year. VIP area options available in Downtown. 11am pre-party and mini music festival with food trucks and drinks; parade at 2pm.

12th Annual Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival in Fifth Ward | Saturday, April 12 | FREE – Celebrating the history, art and culture of Houston’s Fifth Ward, the family-friendly fest features authentic zydeco music, an Easter egg drop by helicopter, parade, car show, and vendors serving up tasty soul food, Creole cuisine, barbecue, and more. Noon to 5pm.

10th Annual Brazilian Food & Music Festival at Powder Keg | Saturday, April 12 – Expect authentic Brazilian food and drinks, live music and performances, crafts and kid-friendly activities at the open-air Spring Branch bar. $10. Noon to 8pm.

The Houston Pancakes & Booze Art Show at Bad Astronaut Brewing Co. | Saturday, April 12 With more than 10 years of serving complimentary pancakes and showcasing the nation’s leading emerging artists, the touring art show returns with over 75 local artists exhibiting over 500 pieces of work, live performances, and more. $15. 8pm to midnight.

Easter After Dark at Westminster United Methodist Church | Saturday, April 12 | FREE – Join in an all ages flashlight egg hunt in the dark, complemented by live music, entertainment, food trucks, silk dancers, a giveaway table, face painting, balloon animals, and more. 6:30pm to 8pm.

Houston LatinFest at Crown Festival Park | Saturday, April 12 & Sunday, April 13 – Returning to Sugar Land, the annual music and culture festival is a family-friendly gathering with live Latin music along with local vendors and delicious Latin foods. $12 and up; free for ages 12 and under. 1pm to 10pm.

Flower Power Festival at Houston Botanic Garden | Sunday, April 13 – Celebrate the hippest blooms at HBC’s new ’60s-inspired springtime festival with live music by The Beatles cover band The Fab 5, amazing natural photo ops in the garden, an art and vendor market, floral-themed and tie-dye crafts, and more. $20; $16 for ages 3 to 11, students, active military, and ages 65+. 9am to 4pm.

Third Week of April: April 14 to 20, 2025

17th Annual H-Town Blues Festival at NRG Arena | Friday, April 18 The annual blues extravaganza returns to Houston, featuring renown artists in Tucka, Pokey Bear, King George, TK Soul, West Love, J-Wonn for an evening of soulful rhythms and electrifying melodies. $59 and up. 8pm.

Earth Day Celebration at Discovery Green | Saturday, April 19 | FREE – One of Discovery Green’s signature events, the annual family-friendly festival returns with an afternoon filled with interactive exhibits and experiences, live music, art installations, face painting, crafts and activities, and more. Noon to 5pm.

Puranava Indian Art & Culture Fest at Pearland Town Center | Saturday, April 19 | FREE Celebrate Indian culture with an day of arts performances, art exhibits, hands-on activities, a food and local vendor bazaar, youth competitions in chess, art, trivia and more. 11am to 6pm.

Houston Caricature Festival at True Love Studios | Saturday, April 19 Support local caricature artists and take home 6 unforgettable portraits from different artists at this one-of-a-kind art festival in Downtown. $40 and up. Noon to 4pm.

Utopia Reggae Fest at Hiram Clarke Community Foundation | Saturday, April 19 – Experience ganja vibes with local bands and DJs, a curated marketplace, and more. $12 and up. 2pm to 10pm.

Bunnies on the Bayou 46 at Wortham Center | Easter Sunday, April 20 – A signature annual event for Houston’s LGBTQIA+ community, the Easter Sunday celebration returns to the shores of Buffalo Bayou with live DJs and entertainers, drinks, plenty of dancing, games, people-watching, and more. $65 and up. 1pm to 6pm.

Third Week of April: April 21 to 27, 2025

23rd Annual FeatherFest Birding & Nature Photography Festival in Galveston | Thursday, April 24 to Sunday, April 27 – For amateur and seasoned birding enthusiasts alike, this multi-day event leads birders through various coastal communities to see native and migratory birds throughout the Galveston region. $25 registration; individual activities priced separately. Times vary.

Planet Earth Celebration at Space Center Houston | Saturday, April 26 – Explore how special our planet is and how we can help sustain, conserve, and preserve its vital natural resources with exclusive activities, activations, and more at Space Center Houston. Included with general admission; $24.95 and up. 10am to 4pm.

Pearland Grand Arts & Eats in Old Town Pearland | Saturday, April 26 | FREE –Celebrate Pearland’s beginnings and future at a day of live music, artist and maker booths in an artist alley, farmers market vendors, a family fun zone, tasty food from local Pearland restaurants, and more. 10am to 5pm.

The Grand Kids Festival in Historic Downtown Galveston | Saturday, April 26 | FREE – The family festival from the Grand 1894 Opera House features a full day of fine arts for kids, along with hands-on projects, dance performances, shows, inflatables, a petting zoo, pony rides, and more. 10am to 5pm.

Sylvan Beach Festival in La Porte | Saturday, April 26 – Held along the waters of Galveston Bay, this historic seaside fest features a country music lineup—headlined by Aaron Watson and Ty Myers—which caps off an entire day of family-friendly fun with carnival rides, a barbecue cook-off, arts and crafts, inflatables, a local vendor market and more. $12.50 and up; $5 for ages 65+; free for ages 12 and under. 10am to 11pm.

Texas Cigar Festival 2025 at Stampede Houston | Saturday, April 26 – Festival attendees can access premium cigar manufacturer meet-and-greets, sought-after cigar deals, and exclusive cigars, plus, a day filled with barbecue, live music, bull riding and more. $199 and up. 1pm to 5pm.

Sugar Land Arts & Music Fest at Smart Financial Centre Plaza | Saturday, April 26 & Sunday, April 27 – The 2-day arts festival showcases more than 100 visual artists from across the U.S, plus you can enjoy live music, food, wine and more. $10 1-day; $16 for both days. Saturday 10am to 5pm; Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Navroz Spring Festival 2025 at the Buffalo Bayou Park Water Works | Sunday, April 27 | FREE – Join in the celebration of Spring, sometimes known as “Nowruz,” celebrated in Iran, Central Asia, the Middle East, and some communities in India and Pakiston. Expect cultural activities, arts/crafts, festivities, live music and performances, food trucks, floral crafts, pottery painting, egg decorating, a henna corner, and more family entertainment. 11am to 4pm.

Spring Festivals in May 2024

First Week of May: April 28 to May 3, 2025

La Izquierda Surf & Music Festival at Galveston Beach Central | Friday, May 2 & Saturday, May 3 – A growing destination for live music, Galveston Island is home to the 2-day celebration of beach culture. The party begins Friday with live music, arts, and local vendors on the festival grounds and continues through Saturday night. Saturday morning, check out a longboard surf contest, featuring chill tunes and family-friendly activities. $25 and up. Times vary.

East End Street Fest at the Espalande on Navigation | Saturday, May 3 | FREE – Happening just a few days before Cinco de Mayo, the East End festival celebrates Mexican and Chicano arts, music, and heritage with diverse performances, dance showcases from Mexico, a dedicated kids’ area, and more. 3pm to 9pm.

Second Week of May: May 5 to 11, 2025

Sugar Land Jazz Festival at Crown Festival Park | Friday, May 9 & Saturday, May 10 – Enjoy 2 back-to-back evenings of jazz from artists like Brian Culbertson, Sheila E. and E Train, The Commodores, a more. $44 and up. 3pm to 10:30pm both days.

40th Annual Texas Crab Festival at Swedes Park in Crystal Beach | Friday, May 9 to Sunday, May 11 Savor crab dishes, live music, and festivities, including carnival rides, art vendors, wiener dog races, and more at the 40th annual festival on Bolivar Peninsula. $25. Times vary.

Third Week of May: May 12 to 18, 2025

Houston Greek Fest at St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church | Thursday, May 15 to Saturday, May 17 – The annual springtime Greek fest in West Houston returns, welcoming guests to dig into Greek foods and pastries, shop local vendors, try their feet at traditional dancing and have plenty of family-friendly fun. $10; free for ages 10 and under; adults is free with a donation of 3 canned goods. Times vary.

52nd Annual Pasadena Strawberry Festival at Pasadena Fairgrounds | Thursday, May 15 to Sunday, May 18 – The annual 4-day festivals returns to southeast Houston, with a weekend of barbecue, carnival rides, a car show, mutton bustin’, a kids zone, the largest strawberry cake you’ve ever seen, and more. $15; $5 for ages 6 to 10; free for ages 5 and under. Times vary.

iFest USA 2025 at Discovery Green | Saturday, May 17 | FREE – The international festival and celebration of foods and cultures from around the world returns to the Downtown park with live entertainment, cuisine and cultural booths, and more in support of peace, love and friendship. 3:30pm to 9pm.

End of May: May 19 to June 1, 2025

Buzzfest 2025 at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Saturday, May 24 – The alternative rock music fest returns to The Woodlands with performances by headliners Chevelle, Marilyn Manson, Blue October, P.O.D., and more. $29 and up. 1pm.

19th Annual Frida Festival at Discovery Green | Saturday, May 31 – Having originated in the East End, the celerbration of all things Frida Kahlo moves to Discovery Green for 2025, with feature live cultural performances, vendors, artists, many people dressed like Frida or donning a unibrow, and more. 11am to 7pm.
