- Chalk on the Block at Baldwin Park | FREE – Explore the interactive 3D sidewalk chalk art featuring colorful fall designs as they’re created by local artists. 10am to 2pm.
- Main Street Trade Days in La Porte | No Cover – Browse antiques, collectibles, re-purposed furniture, and artisan vendors amongst the eclectic shops and eateries along Main Street in downtown La Porte.10am to 2pm.
- Heartmade Harvest Art Market at Market Square Park | No Cover – Find works and wares from more than 40 regional artists, craftspeople, and creatives while basking in the mimosa bar, live music, food trucks, and more.10am to 5pm.
- Copy Culture: Zine Making Demo with Anastasia Kirages at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft | FREE – Kids can learn collage-based zine techniques from collage artist and zinester, Anastasia Kirages, as part of HCCC’s fall exhibit Copy Culture: Zines Made and Shared. 11am to 3pm.
- Fiery Laksa Challenge for Charity at Phat Eatery – Belly up to the Katy Malaysian restaurant’s Hot & Spicy Challenge and consume an entire spicy level 8 version of its house favorite, Laksa noodle soup, in 30 minutes to win a $50 gift card. $25 registration fee benefits The Ballard House. 11am to 10pm.
- Fall Fest & Artisan Market at B-52 Brewing | No Cover – Browse 70+ artisan vendors, take in live music from multiple bands, nosh on bites from three food trucks, join in fall games, and toss back cold brews in B-52’s hidden pine forest. Market noon to 6pm; festival until 10pm.
- Amazing Race at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – Explore the Arboretum through a series of clues and challenges in a family-adventure where the group treks through trails, finds clues, and completes challenges. $30; $20 members (per family, up to 4 people; $5 per additional family member). 1pm to 3pm.
- Houston Dia de los Muertos Festival at Sam Houston Park | FREE – Check out Houston’s first ever Día de los Muertos celebration, bringing a parade and festival with live music, delicious concessions, arts and crafts, and more. 2pm to 10pm.
- Sip & Stroll at Bayou Bend – Wander through the 14 acres of gardens and ground floor of Bayou Bend with cocktails in hand as the afternoon fades into twilights. $25; $20 for MFAH members, includes one cocktail. 6pm to 7pm.
- Colors of a Place Opening Reception at Archway Gallery | FREE – Get swept up in Harold Joiner’s new paintings and mixed media collages in an exhibition named for the American Southwest, at a free art opening in Montrose. 5pm to 8pm; artist’s talk at 6:30pm.
- 6th Annual Whiskey Social at Citadel Houston – The South Houston venue hosts one of Texas’ largest whiskey tasting events, with 350+ different expressions of spirits from across the globe and fine food to match. $90; VIP $140. 6pm to 9pm.
- Texas Folklife presents 32nd Annual Accordion Kings & Queens Festival at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Virtual Option – Returning to a live performance, the show celebrated Texas accordion music, including genres like conjunto, polka, zydeco, Cajun, and more. - Technicolor Night Market at Westheimer & Montrose | No Cover – Browse and sample delicious food, from a wide assortment of vendors, at a family-friendly night market pop-up happening at the Curb Market on the lot of the former Spec’s and Half-Price Books in the Montrose. 7pm to midnight.
- Día de Los Muertos Parade & After Party at C. Baldwin Hotel – The Downtown hotel hosts its first ever night parade for the Día de Los Muertos holiday, plus a festival with food, entertainment, and more. $35 for parade seating; $50 for the after party. 7pm to midnight.
- Trevor Noah: Back To Abnormal World Tour at Toyota Center – The South African-born host of The Daily Show brings his cultural and clever comedy to Downtown’s Toyota Center for one night. 7:30pm.
- DaCamera presents Jason Moran: James Reese Europe & the Harlem Hellfighters at Wortham Theater Center – Houston’s Jason Moran explores the legacy of James Reese Europe, who landed in France during World War I with the Harlem Hellfighters and helped popularize the spirit of jazz to a European audience, forever shaping the evolution of African American music. $42.50 to $72.50. 8pm.

- Cars & Coffee for a Cause at Market Street in The Woodlands | FREE – Get an up close look at beautiful automobiles and classic cars at the November edition of The Woodlands Car Club monthly charity fundraiser. 7am to 10am.
- Art Car IPA 5k at Saint Arnold Brewing Company – Get funky, creative, and show off your quirky artistic talent as St. Arnold’s hosts its first in-person Art Car IPA run through East Downtown, partying and reveling in the art of running and drinking beer. $55 to run; $25 for just a beer and party pass. 8:30am to 11am.
- Karbach Disc Golf Tournament at Agnes Moffitt Disc Golf Park – Compete in Karbach’s annual competition, with contests in shotgun start, doubles scramble play, and closest to the pin, in northwest Houston. $20. Noon to 4pm.
