- Houston World Series of Dog Shows | Daily – Come, sit, and stay at the Houston World Series of Dog Shows, where more than 150 different breeds will compete in a variety of competitions throughout the week, ending with the “Best in Show” award. Events include flyball, creative grooming, a frisbee exhibition, and canine musical freestyle, where dogs perform a choreographed dance alongside their handler. 8am to 6pm daily.
- God’s Favorite at The George Theater | Daily – Take a seat for A.D. Players’ production of God’s Favorite, which presents Neil Simon’s reimagining of the Bible’s Book of Job, at George Theater. Tickets start at $15, but limited premium $50 seats are discounted to $25 for select shows. Showtimes vary.
- The Great American Trailer Park Musical at Stages Repertory Theatre | Daily – One of the most requested musicals in Stages Repertory Theatre history returns for the company’s 40th anniversary season. The show boasts tacky outfits, crude language, adultery, road kill, electrocution, and spray cheese. Tickets range from $25 to $68, but limited standard tickets (normally $42) are discounted to $21 for select shows. Showtimes vary.
- Oleanna at 14 Pews | Daily – Take a seat for Oleanna, David Mamet’s politically relevant play that follows a college professor who is accused of sexual harassment after discussing a paper with his female student. Tickets start at $15, but limited premium seats are discounted to $17.50. 8pm
- The Catastrophic Theatre presents The Tamarie Cooper Show: Field Trip! at MATCH | Daily – Hop on board a metaphysical field trip with Tamarie Cooper, a local actress and playwright known for her hilarious musical theatre. In Field Trip, Cooper questions the meaning of life and unpacks personal baggage by way of song, gags, and hi-jinx. Tickets start at $10. Showtimes vary.
- Holmes and Watson at the Alley Theatre | Friday and Saturday – Crack codes and solve mysteries during this Sherlock Holmes adventure presented by the Alley Theatre. The performance follows Holmes’ trusty sidekick, Watson, as he seeks the true story of Holmes’ death three years prior. Tickets start at $26. 8pm both days.
- Comic Greg Warren at Joke Joint Comedy Showcase | Friday and Saturday – Best known from his appearances onLate Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Late Show, and Comedy Central Presents, Greg Warren brings his mix of self-deprecation, frustration, and an arsenal of lifelike characters to H-Town for four evening shows. Warren is also performing a family friendly comedy show on Saturday afternoon that’s suitable for ages 10 and up. Times vary.
- Outdoor Sportsman Show at George R. Brown Convention Center | Friday to Sunday – Mingle with fellow nature enthusiasts at the Outdoor Sportsman Show in George R. Brown Convention Center. The three-day convention will include hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting exhibits, as well as booths from top outdoor retailers, manufacturers, outfitters, and organizations. Times vary.
- Bridal Extravaganza at George R. Brown Convention Center | Saturday and Sunday – Round up your bride squad and plan all aspects of your upcoming wedding at the bi-annual Bridal Extravaganza Show in George R. Brown Convention Center. Featuring more than 350 vendors, the show boasts plenty of giveaways, bridal fashion shows, a wedding-planning seminar, and industry experts.
