  • All Shook Up at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE | Daily – Travel back to the 1950s in this lip-curling, hip-swiveling musical that follows a young, fun-loving man who finds himself stuck in an uptight town. You’ll hear classics like “Heartbreak Hotel,” “Jailhouse Rock,” and “Can’t Help Falling In Love” in this family-friendly performance at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8:15pm nightly.
  • The Catastrophic Theatre presents The Tamarie Cooper Show: Field Trip! at MATCH | Daily – Hop on board a metaphysical field trip with Tamarie Cooper, a local actress and playwright known for her hilarious musical theatre. In Field Trip, Cooper questions the meaning of life and unpacks personal baggage by way of song, gags, and hi-jinx. Tickets start at $10. Showtimes vary.
  • Holmes and Watson at the Alley Theatre | Friday and Saturday – Crack codes and solve mysteries during this Sherlock Holmes adventure presented by the Alley Theatre. The performance follows Holmes’ trusty sidekick, Watson, as he seeks the true story of Holmes’ death three years prior. Tickets start at $26. 8pm.
  • Evening Chill at Houston Zoo | Friday and Saturday – Scope out your favorite animals without melting from the summer heat when the Houston Zoo extends its hours for the Evening Chill. Zoo-goers can also enjoy live music and family-friendly activities after sundown. Tickets start at $11. 5pm to 8pm.
  • Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes at NRG Stadium | Thursday to Sunday – Watch your favorite superheroes join forces for a thrilling show of aerialists, acrobats, motorcyclists and more in Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes at NRG Stadium. Showtimes vary.
  • Houston Astros vs. Detroit Tigers at Minute Maid Park | Friday to Sunday – Get loud for the Astros when they take the field to play the Tigers in a home game at Minute Maid Park. Tickets start at $14, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. Times vary.
  • Candle Making Pop-up at Rice Village | Saturday and Sunday – Enjoy a 2-Day Pop-up Candle Making Workshop with Love & Make in the Rice Village near Starbucks. BYOB and mix and match from over 20 fragrances to create your own unique soy wax candle. In addition to candle making, you can peruse and shop handmade merch from local makers while you wait for your candle to set. Tickets are $45. Times vary.
