- Cirque du Soleil presents Kooza at Sam Houston Race Park | Daily | Opening Weekend – Returning to Houston for the second time in 10 years, the thrilling circus arts of Cirque du Soleil excite under the big top in Northwest Houston, featuring acrobatics, daredevil performances, laughter and wonder. $49 and up. - Paranormal Cirque at Katy Mills | Daily | Closing Weekend – This macabre circus features acrobats, illusionists, mysterious creatures and more. $20; $10 for ages 13 to 17. No admittance for ages under 13. Times vary.
- CraftTexas 2022 at Houston Center for Contemporary Craft | Thursday to Saturday | Closing Weekend – Drawn from a pool of more than 250 applicants, this juried exhibition features some of the best in Texas-made contemporary craft—with a particularly strong showing of fiber, metal and mixed media—offering pieces that speak to the artists’ personal stories of struggle and resilience. 10am to 5pm.
- Drunk Shakespeare at the Emerald Theatre | Thursday to Saturday | Opening Weekend – Five professional actors assemble on stage to perform one of the great plays of Shakespeare with a catch—one actor downs five shots of whiskey prior to the performance and the other actors strive to keep the script on track. $39 and up. Times vary.
- Houston Dash 2023 Open Tryouts at Houston Sports Park | Friday & Saturday – If you think you have what it takes to crack an NWSL roster, the Dash will offer you the chance to prove it on a first-come, first-served basis in South Houston. $125. 9am.
- The Riot Comedy Club presents Anthony DeVito at Rudyard’s | Friday & Saturday – For three shows over the weekend, the NYC-based comedian brings his award-winning brand of humor and insights to the upstairs stage in Montrose. Times vary.

- Paradise Blue at Ensemble Theatre | Friday to Sunday | Opening Weekend – When gifted trumpeter Blue considers selling his jazz club in Detroit, the fates of many are thrown into question. - Houston Grand Opera presents Werther at Wortham Center | Friday & Sunday – Massanet’s elegant opera is a story of unrequited love that cascades to a tragic end. Rarely seen, this opera is back on the HGO stage for the first time in 40 years. $20 and up. Friday 7:30pm; Sunday 2pm.
- Galveston Museum Day in Galveston | Saturday & Sunday – Score tickets at discounted rates to nearly a dozen of Galveston Island’s museums, including the Railroad Museum, Moody Mansion, Bryan Museum, the Grand 1894 Opera House, and more. Prices and times vary.
- Year of the Rabbit Celebration at Viet Hoa Center | Saturday & Sunday | FREE – Celebrate the Lunar New Year with back-to-back days of festivities, including appearances by city officials, red envelope ceremonies, dancing and music, lion dance performances, and much more. 11am to 6pm.
- 2023 Trap & Paint Houston at Grooves | Saturday & Sunday – Let out your inner artist while letting loose to trap hits and enjoying gourmet foods at this two-day event in Third Ward. Tickets are available for three-hour time slots. $20 and up. Times vary.
- Monster Jam at NRG Stadium | Saturday & Sunday – Marvel at the gravity-defying experience of monster trucks when Monster Jam arrives in Houston.
