- Bacon Day at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery | No Cover – Eat all the bacon when Houston locations of Snooze, an A.M. Eatery celebrate the lesser-known holiday of the week, Bacon Day. Diners can taste three bacon-inspired specials and enter to win Tender Belly bacon for a year. 6:30am to 2:30pm.
- Labor Day Backyard Barbecue at George Ranch Historical Park – Chow down on tasty barbecue and play family-friendly yard games during this Labor Day celebration at George Ranch Historical Park. The menu features beef brisket, venison, beef and pork sausage, mesquite con pollo, cowboy beans, potato salad, George Ranch BBQ sauces, and an assortment of cobblers. $15. 9am.
- Gulf Coast Volleyball Association Labor Day Classic on Galveston’s East Beach – The Gulf Coast Volleyball Association (GCVA), the largest outdoor volleyball association on the Gulf Coast celebrates Labor Day Weekend with an all-day tourney. $25 per person; $50 per team. Beachgoers are welcome to watch at no cost. 9am to 9pm.
- Advocare Texas Kickoff: Texas Tech vs. Ole Miss at NRG Park – Jump right into football season with the annual Advocare Texas Kickoff. This year’s game pits Ole Miss against Texas Tech at NRG Park. Tickets start at $25. 11am.
- BYOD Houston UH vs. Rice Football Pawty at Dogwood – Kick off college football season with your pup in tow during a BYOD (bring your own dog) watch party at Dogwood. As you watch the game between University of Houston and Rice University, you and your furry companion can enjoy doggy treats, compete in a most-spirited dog jersey contest, and enter to win game-day raffle prizes. $10. 11am to 1pm.
- First Saturday Arts Market in The Heights | FREE – Browse fine art and eclectic goods at the free monthly First Saturday Arts Market in the heart of the Houston Heights. In addition to shopping and browsing, you’ll find live music, food truck bites, great people watching and more. 11am to 6pm.
- Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival: BrewHaHa Grand Tasting – Sample hundreds of local, domestic, and international brews at the biggest event of the Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival, the BrewHaha Grand Tasting. Participating enthusiasts can access educational seminars, chat with brewmasters and industry experts, sample wines, and enjoy live entertainment. $40. 3pm to 6:30pm.
- HBCU Fest at Jones Plaza – Celebrate historically black universities, culture, and entertainment at HBCU Fest in Jones Plaza downtown. The festival will feature live entertainment, music, games, and vendors throughout the day. Tickets start at $8. 3pm to 10pm.
- Drink Local Art Market at Under the Radar Brewery | No Cover – Shop local vendors and artwork while sipping craft beer at Under the Radar Brewery’s monthly market. 4pm.
- World of Dance Regionals at Warehouse Live – Ooh and ahh as talented dancers take the stage to compete in the World of Dance Regionals at Warehouse Live. Focused on the art of street dancing and modern choreography, World of Dance promises an unparalleled experience to participants and audience members alike. Tickets start at $40. 4pm to 10pm.
- K-Pop Paint & Sip Party at The Teahouse Tapioca & Tea – Sing and dance to the latest K-Pop, K-hip hop, and EDM music while you paint a lovely picture and sip bubble tea during this evening event at The Teahouse Tapioca & Tea. $40. 6pm to 8pm.
- Summer Saturday Nights at The Blue Field Market | No Cover – Shop ‘till you drop, then relax with a cocktail when Blue Field Market opens every Saturday night this summer. The market offers local vendors, live bands, drink specials, sunset yoga, sand volleyball, and both sports and movie screenings on the big screen. 6pm to 10pm.
- Dining with Divas at Hamburger Mary’s – Sit back and get your grub on while watching a delightful show of all-star divas led by two of Houston’s premiere drag artists. $5. 7pm to 9:30pm.
- Yelawolf in Concert at House of Blues – Jam out to raw hip hop beats at a live show by Eminem’s signee, Yelawolf, at House of Blues. Rap-and-country duo Waylon & Willie will open the show. Tickets are $25, but you may find better or cheaper seats using the TicketNetwork resale marketplace.
- Vivaldi vs. Paganini at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – Take a seat for this battle of violin virtuosi, as Mercury presents Vivaldi vs. Paganini at Miller Outdoor Theatre. The concert pits heavyweight classical composers against each other, incorporating favorites like Vivaldi’s “La Stravaganza” and Paganini’s “Caprices.” 8pm.
- Givers in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – Head to White Oak Music Hall for a live show by the Lafayette-based music group, Givers, as they promote their newest release, the Movin On EP. Tickets start at $13. 8pm.
- The Late Show: Bathtub Full of Gin at Prohibition Supperclub – You’re in for a sexy, booze-filled evening when the Moonlight Dolls take the stage for this 1920’s show at Prohibition Supperclub. Tickets start at $20, but limited, discounted $10 tickets are available. 11:30pm.

- Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival: Brew-B-Que – Chow down on Texas-style barbecue and dance to live music from local musicians during the final event of the Brewmasters Craft Beer Festival, Brew-B-Que, at the Moody Gardens Convention Center in Galveston. Feges pitmaster Patrick Feges will serve up ribs, brisket, sausage, beans, creamed corn, and coleslaw. $30. 11:30am to 2:30pm.
- Chimney Rock Market in West Houston | No Cover – Held on the first and third Sunday of the month near Anderson Park, Chimney Rock Market showcases art, gifts, produce, artisanal food, and refreshments. Noon to 4pm.
- Taste of the Caribbean Festival 2018 at BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center – Experience the diverse flavors of Caribbean food, while enjoying live music, dance performances, and art as the BH Ranch Entertainment and Event Center hosts Taste of the Caribbean Festival 2018. $15. Noon to 11:55pm.
- Samskriti Bollywood Blast at Miller Outdoor Theatre | FREE – Delve into Indian culture with a performance of popular music, dance, vibrant costumes and imaginative sets in Om Shanti at Miller Outdoor Theatre. 8:15pm.
- Flosstradamus at Stereo Live – Check out a show from Chicago-based trap DJ Flosstradamus when he heads to Stereo Live with a slew of tracks he’s produced alongside names like Diplo, Three 6 Mafia, and Post Malone. Tickets start at $25, but you may find better or cheaper tickets on the TicketNetwork online marketplace. 10pm.

- Towne Lake Triathlon – Run, bike, and swim your way around Towne Lake this Labor Day morning at the 9th annual Towne Lake Triathlon. Participants can register for individual races or sign up as part of a relay. Registration starts at $90. 6am to 11am.
- Labor Day Brunch & Patio Party at Fielding’s local kitchen + bar – Make the most of your Monday off with an indulgent brunch at Fielding’s local kitchen + bar in Tomball. The Labor Day menu includes a sirloin English breakfast, pot roast hash, turtle french toast, and cream cheese lemon pancakes, as well as Bloody Mary and mimosa flights. 9am.
- Labor Day Luau at Wet’n’Wild Splashtown – Ride down water slides and make a splash at this Hawaiian-themed Labor Day celebration in Spring’s Wet’n’Wild Splashtown. 10am to 6pm.
- Towne Lake Labor Day Parade in Cypress | FREE – Gather your family and join a Labor Day parade through the streets of Towne Lake in Cypress. As you march, show off your red, white, and blue to compete for the most patriotic walker, pet, bike, golf cart, trailer, family, and most spirited overall. 10am.
- Houston Astros vs. Minnesota Twins at Minute Maid Park – Get loud for the Astros when they take the field to play Minnesota in a home game at Minute Maid Park. Tickets start at $15, but you may find cheaper or better seats on TicketNetwork’s resale site. 1:10pm.
- 3rd Annual Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social at Stevenson Park | FREE – Step back in time for the 3rd Annual Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social and enjoy ice cream, cookies, lemonade and root beer, and live music from the Wild River Trio at the Stevenson Park in Friendswood. In addition to the Ice Cream Social, this year they will be including a special Harvey Remembrance Event. 3pm to 5pm.
- Bingo in the Biergarten at Karbach Brewery | No Cover – Sip craft beer, play bingo, and win prizes when Karbach Brewery hosts Bingo in the Biergarten every Monday night. 6pm to 8pm.
- Labor Day Celebration at Lincoln Bar – Live it up this Labor Day with a Monday night bash at Lincoln Bar on Washington Ave. You can expect bottle packages, drink specials, and live music, as well as a photo booth, shot block, dunk tank, and body paint. 7pm to 2am.
