- A Tribute to Roy Rogers at the National Museum of Funeral History | Daily – Explore the life and legacy of Western movie star and singer Roy Rogers at this memorial exhibit presented by the National Museum of Funeral History. Open through New Year’s Eve, the exhibit showcases a variety of memorabilia, including Rogers’ prized 1963 Pontiac Bonneville convertible. Times vary daily.
- Houston Restaurant Weeks 2018 | Daily – Dine out for a great cause when nearly 250 of Houston’s hottest eateries offer a multi-course brunch, lunch, and/or dinner at an often-discounted price during Houston Restaurants Weeks 2018. Now in its 15th year, HRW is the largest annual fundraiser that benefits the Houston Food Bank. Prices, times, and locations vary.
- Ring of Fire at Stages Repertory Theatre | Thursday to Sunday – Walk the line to Stages Repertory Theatre for Ring of Fire, a biographical performance about Johnny Cash featuring all of his top hits. $25. Showtimes vary.

- Feeling Groovy 4 at Music Box Theater | Friday and Saturday – Groove on down to your favorite tunes from the ‘60s and ‘70s when Music Box Theater presents Feeling Groovy 4, an all-new musical featuring songs by Simon & Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, Glen Campbell, Diana Ross, The Carpenters, The Bee Gees, and Barbra Streisand. Tickets start at $29, but limited, discounted $14.50 general admission tickets are available for select shows. 7:30pm both days.
- Color Your Weekend at Harvest Green | Friday to Sunday – Express yourself with family and friends at the Color Your Weekend event, a colorful Labor Day weekend extravaganza at Harvest Green. The 3-day event begins with an adults-only White Linen Night on Friday, an art market on Saturday, and a Community Coloring Day on Sunday. Tickets are $20 on Friday and free on Saturday and Sunday. - Love & Make’s Candle Making Workshop in Rice Village | Saturday and Sunday – The popular, DIY soy candle-making workshops from Love & Make continue into September. Attendees will get to design their very own signature candle fragrances. BYOB is encouraged. Workshop times vary. $45
- Journey and Def Leppard in Concert at Toyota Center | Saturday and Monday – Feed your love of ‘80s rock at a doubleheader concert from Journey and Def Leppard at Toyota Center in Downtown. Expect to hear iconic songs like “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.” Tickets start at $49.50, but you may find cheaper of better seats on the TicketNetwork resale marketplace. 7pm both nights.
- Final Summer Adventure at Lone Star Flight Museum | Saturday to Monday – Take off to the Lone Star Flight Museum for their Final Summer Adventure, where you can watch vintage aircrafts soar through the sky, take (virtual) flight in an aircraft simulator, and walk through educational exhibits that will only be available through Labor Day weekend.
