Delight in a multi-course meal featuring locally sourced ingredients during Sunday Supper at Sparrow Bar + Cookshop on Sunday, November 8, 2015.

Experience farm to table like never before when eight chefs team up with eight local vendors to prepare multiple courses for hungry guests.

The menu – featuring seasonal ingredients that will be delivered as close to the event time as possible to ensure freshness – will not be determined until the evening of the event, when the chefs find out exactly what they have to work with.

No need to worry. All of the participating chefs source seasonal ingredients at their own restaurants and are used to improvising menu items based on ingredient availability. So sit back, relax and enjoy a deliciously fresh meal.

The Chefs

Joining chef Monica Pope at her restaurant for this culinary challenge will be Adam Doris of Pax Americana, Ara Malekian of Harlem Road Texas BBQ, Dylan Murray of Benjy’s and Local Foods, Justin Yu of Oxheart, Mark Decker of Down House, Randy Rucker of Bramble and Soren Pedersen of Currant Kitchen.

The Vendors

Atkinson Farms, Honeychild’s Sweet Creams, Java Pura Coffee Roasters, Pat Greer’s Kitchen, Plant it Forward Farms, Tavola Pasta, Tejas Heritage Farm and Sustainable Harvesters will bring in ingredients at the last minute (to ensure the utmost freshness) for each chef to build their course around.

Individual tickets for this unique dining experience are $175, with the option of purchasing a table for ten at $2,500 and a VIP table for ten at $4,000.

This event benefits the Urban Harvest Youth Education Program, which teaches healthy nutrition, gardening, food systems and more to children in Houston area schools and community centers.
