Celebrate the arrival of Mardi Gras, and the pending start of Lent, around Greater Houston and along the beach in Galveston on Fat Tuesday, March 4, 2025. 

Pile on the beads as Mardi Gras festivities level up this year with parades, parties, and concerts returning to eager crowds ready for revelry.

Mardi Gras Celebrations & Events on Fat Tuesday, March 4, 2025

Mardi Gras Celebration & Parade at The Woodlands Children’s Museum – Families celebrate Fat Tuesday in with face painting, a performance by Woodlands Symphony Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble, king cake, and jester hat crafts. $9 for ages 1 and up. 10am to 2pm; parades at 10:30am and 11:30am.

Mardi Gras Party at Wakefield Crowbar | No Cover – This Garden Oaks Fat Tuesday bash boasts live Zydeco music, fresh crawfish, and drink specials that will make you feel like you’re in the French Quarter. 11am to 9pm.

Fat Tuesday X 2 Step Tuesdays Bash at Chapman & Kirby | No Cover The EaDo hotspot celebrates the spirit of Mardi Gras with live music from DJ Stone, C&K Zydeco Band, and The Good Fellaz—plus plenty of dancing, giveaways, and Cajun cuisine. 3pm to 11pm.

Mardi Gras Fat Tuesday Celebration at Gotti’s | No Cover – EaDo’s Cajun restaurant throws a Fat Tuesday celebration complete with food and drink specials, a live DJ, hookah, and more. Reservations recommended. 4pm to 11:30pm.

Mardi Gras at Brennan’s of Houston The iconic New Orleans–born restaurant will welcome Mardi Gras revelers with a special 3-course dinner, live entertainment, and more. 5pm to 9pm.

114th Mardi Gras! Galveston: Mystic Krewe of Aquarius Annual Fat Tuesday Parade in Downtown Galveston – Galveston’s big Mardi Gras season wraps with the final parade of the year. 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Mardi Gras: La Danse Finale at MarMo Plaza in Downtown Galveston | FREE – Following the Mystic Krewe of Aquarius Fat Tuesday Parade in in downtown Galveston, the party starts inside MarMo, with live music—Galvezton, DEM, and Come See My Dead Person. Outside on the plaza expect food vendors, artist installations, and a small market. 8pm to 11:30pm.
