Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at NRG Park | Daily | Ongoing – The entire city is abuzz with the return of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, featuring rodeo action, live concerts, and a variety of all ages fun from carnival rides, outrageous festival food, drinks and more. Rodeo grounds open from 8am to midnight daily. Event times vary.

Performing Arts Houston: New/Now at Wortham Center | Thursday & Friday – Catch dance and music performances by Yungchris, Marlon Simon, and Ben Chavez—winners of the 2024-25 New/Now: The Houston Artist projects. Pick your price. 7:30pm both nights.

SpringStock Music Fest ’25 at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Friday & Saturday | FREE – Soak up 2 full days of live local music at a free, all ages outdoor fest, along with art vendors, Saint Arnold brews, and more. Times vary.

Comedian Sophie Buddle at Punch Line Houston | Friday & Saturday – Known for her comedy album A Lil Bit of Buddle, which won the Juno Award for Comedy Album of the Year in 2020, the Canadian comic comes to Houston for 3 shows. Times vary.

Bliss Side Camping Extravaganza & Burn 2025 at Texas Festival Grounds | Friday to Sunday – Although not affiliated, the 2-night Burning Man-inspired camping experience promises beauty, love, inclusion, symbiosis and serenity (Bliss, get it?). $59 for one night; $99 for both nights. Times vary.

Urban Cowboy Movie Screening at River Oaks Theatre | Friday to Sunday – Catch the Houston-filmed 1980 movie (PG) starring John Travolta and Debra Winger. Times vary.

Comedian Guy Torry at Houston Improv | Friday to Sunday – Known for appearing on Def Comedy Jam and for creating the hit Phat Tuesdays: The Era of Hip Hop Comedy docu-series, Torry plays 5 shows on the Spring Branch stage. $44 for 2 and up. Times vary.

Houston Ballet: In the Night at Wortham Center | Friday to Sunday | Final Weekend – This mixed rep program features 3 expressive ballets offering a fascinating fusion of classical and contemporary artistry. $25 and up. Showtimes vary.

Jurassic Giants Opening Weekend at Houston Zoo | Opens Friday | Ongoing – The Museum District favorite rolls out a new supersized dinosaur installation, featuring 60 new dinos along a lush forest trail, hands on dig sites, and more. Prices and times vary.

Saw The Musical: The Unauthorized Parody of Saw at MATCH | Daily | Ends Sunday – Described as Little Shop of Horrors meets Avenue Q, the Off Broadway sensation flips the horror film on its head. $37 and up. Showtimes vary.

4th Wall Theatre Co: Topdog/Underdog at Studio 101 in Spring Street Studios | Daily | Ongoing – In a darkly comic fable of brotherly love and family identity, Lincoln and Booth—two brothers named as an offhand joke—confront their rivalry and resentment while confronting the future reality. $22 and up. Backstreet Pop-up Turley Wine Dinner at Hugo’s – Enjoy a feast of Chef Hugo Ortega’s food pairs with Napa Valley’s Turley Wine Cellars, known for some of California’s best Zinfandel, with passed bites followed by a 4-course meal. $145. 6pm.

First Thursday Block Party at Mid Main – Midtown’s popular seasonal block party kicks off the spring season with drink specials, DJs, live music, and more. $10 wristband for full access. 6pm to 10pm.

Italian Forgers: The Art Market & the Weight of the Past in Modern Italy at the Italian Cultural & Community CenterCarol Helstosky, professor of history at the University of Denver and author discusses how major forgery scandals impacted the Italian art market. $15. 7pm.

Tab Benoit in Concert at The Heights Theater – The Delta blues guitarist, musician, and singer brings his 1972 Fender Telecaster Thinline electric guitar to historic 19th Street in the Heights. Hear Thunder opens. $38 and up. 8pm. 

Gals on the Go Podcast at Punch Line Houston – YouTubers and podcasters Danielle Carolan and Brooke Miccio bring their discussions about early adulthood, social media trends, relationships, family, and more to the Downtown stage. $41. 8pm.

4th Annual Rodeo Roundup in Rice Village | FREE – The family-friendly pop-up features local country musician Cooper Mohrmann, a mechanical bull ride, face painting, bandana freebies, and specials and offers at many shops and restaurants. 5pm to 8pm.

Happy Friday, Happy Hour at The Rink at Discovery Green – Hit the rink before 7pm and save $2 on tickets at the Downtown roller skating rink. $12 before 7pm; $14 after. 5pm to 11pm.

Rooted In Love: Roots at Rodeo Beach Community Block Party at Emancipation Park – Bringing Miami Beach vibes to the heart of Third Ward, the evening features a barbecue cookoff, live music, games, and more. 5pm to 11:30pm.

Naruto: The Symphonic Experience at Smart Financial Centre – Immerse yourself in Toshio Masuda’s original score of the anime hit Naruto played by a live orchestra, with a montage of iconic scenes behind them. $35 and up. 7pm.

Saint Motel in Concert at House of Blues – The LA pop band brings its brand of dream pop and progressive indie act to the Downtown music hall. $27.50. 7pm.

Tommy Richman in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The singer and rapper known for his 2024 single, “Million Dollar Baby” perform’s on White Oak’s downstairs stage. $25 and up. 7pm.

Remember the Titans Movie Screening at Sugar Land Town Square | FREE – Catch a drum line performance and a showing of the 2000 film (PG) about a high school football team overcoming racial tensions and uniting a community. 6:30pm; 7pm movie.

Don’t Call Me Sweetie: 8th Annual Women’s Art Showcase at The Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE – One of Insomnia Gallery’s most popular art shows of the year, this weekend showcased the work of local women creators in tribute to International Women’s Day. 7pm to 11pm.

Noche Latina at Home Run Dugout | No Cover – Start the night off with free salsa lessons from Texas Salsa Congress, followed by live music from Shekere Latin Band. 7pm to midnight.

Moonlight Movies: La La Land Movie Screening Under the Stars at MFAH – Grab a spot on the sloping roof of the Glassell School of Art to catch the 2016 Academy Award-winning musical (PG-13) starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling under the stars. $20; $15 for members, students with ID and ages 65+. 8pm.

Hayden Haddock in Concert at Goode Company Armadillo Palace – The country artist known for his albums Red Dirt Texas and First Rodeo plays the hall in West U. $15; $17 day of. 8pm.

​​The Short & Sweet Speakeasy: A Sexy Burlesque Show at AvantGarden – Take in a live 90-minute burlesque show featuring local talents and a special guest in elaborate costumes and high production quality. Future dates available. $35 includes your first drink. 8pm and 10pm.

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy in Concert at The Heights Theater – The lively SoCal swing revival band known for  “Go Daddy-O”, and “You & Me & the Bottle Makes 3 Tonight” energizes the intimate Heights venue. $32 and up. 9pm.

Loofy & Dillon Nathaniel Live Set at Bauhaus – Loofy hits the decks for the first time ever, followed by the returning Dillon Nathaniel at this B2B double-header evening. $15 and up. 10pm to 2am.

Steve Aoki DJ Set at Stereo Live – The Grammy-nominated DJ, producer, and record label owner known for throwing cake into the crowd jet sets over to the West Houston club. $59. 10pm to 2am.
