  • Comedian Shawn Wayans at Houston Improv | Friday & Saturday – A member of the legendary comedic brothers, Shawn Wayans take the Spring Branch stage for back-to-back nights of hilarity building on his storied film and comedy career. $110 for 2, and up. Times vary.
  • 113th Annual Mardi Gras! Galveston in Downtown Galveston | Friday to Sunday – The Island wraps up the third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the country with parades, live entertainment, street food vendors and much more. Stay for the entire weekend and collect your beads for bragging rights with all the partygoers while enjoying the party atmosphere. $14 and up; free for ages 12 and under. Multi-day packages and VIP Balcony Party options available. Times vary.
  • HTX Mardi Gras Bash at Urban South HTX | Friday to Sunday | No Cover – This three-day celebration of Mardi Gras at the Arts District brewery features a limited amount of pairings with Pint & Slice and Dong Phuong King Cake, plus frozen hurricanes, live music, trivia, kid-friendly activities and more. Times vary.

  • Pho-zole at Cuchara Restaurant | No Cover – Pull up a seat for this unique combination of Vietnamese and Mexican comfort foods. Socorro tequila leads the cocktail menu for the night, and early birds will receive a complimentary drink. Menu prices vary. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Phora at Warehouse Live Midtown – Fresh off releasing Lucky Me in late 2023, the Anaheim rapper hits the road with a stop that will bring him through Midtown’s newest music venue. $25. 8pm.
  • Moonstruck Movie Screening at Axelrad | FREE – Kick off a month of romantic movie screenings in the neon garden with this classic film starring Cher and Nicholas Cage. Umbrella Fellas will serve up eats throughout the night. 8pm to 11pm.

  • Sips with Chef at Beerfoot Brewery – The Galveston brewery hosts a special pairing dinner with 4 beer flights and a special dish from BLVD Seafood’s Chef Lopez. $13. 5pm.
  • Valentine’s Candlelit Concert at Post Houston’s Z Atrium | FREE with RSVP – Enjoy beautifully sultry music as the Monarch Chamber Players perform an intimate and romantic set by candlelight including Bizet’s “Carmen,” tangos by Astor Piazzolla, and more. Free with RSVP; reserved seating available for $15. 7pm.
  • Brainiac at White Oak Music Hall – Catch the ’90s indie rock sensation—and influence to many bands from the Mars Volta to Death Cab—when they take the stage for a live set at White Oak. $25. 7pm.
  • Drink & Think Wednesdays at Little Woodrow’s Heights | No Cover – At the Heights location of Little Woodrow’s, you can flex knowledge with general trivia rounds. 7pm to 10pm.
  • Houston AF at Houston Improv – Check out this week’s crop of up-and-coming comedians when they take to the Spring Branch comedy club for a night of local laughs. $20 for 2, and up. 7:30pm.

  • Cookies & Cocktails at the Wildcatter Saloon – This beginner-friendly, hands-on Valentine’s Day cookie-decorating class lets you put your personal spin on six different cookies to give to your sweetheart. All you need, including frosting, piping bag, sprinkles and more, is provided. You’ll also get a box and gift bag for your creations. $40. 6:30pm.
  • Brovia Wine Dinner at Ostia – Ostia will host its first-ever Wine Dinner, featuring legendary producer Brovia Winery. The evening will begin with light bites and bubbles in Ostia’s dining room, followed by a four-course family-style menu curated by Chef Travis McShane. A representative from Brovia will expertly guide guests through each wine pairing. $180 per person. 6:30pm.
  • Rom Com Movie Trivia at Houston Toy Museum – Think you know your Four Weddings & A Funeral from When Harry Met Sally? Grab your friends, form a team and head to the Heights to square off against other rom com movie buffs. BYOB and snacks welcome. $10; includes museum admission. 7pm.
  • Adam Hood in Concert at Dan Electro’s Guitar Bar – Southern singer-songwriter Adam Hood heads to the Heights stage, showcasing his personal brand of blues, folk, country and rock. Heather Rayleen and Susan Hickman open the show. $25 and up. 7:30pm.
  • The Movement in Concert at White Oak Music Hall – The alt-reggae band, fresh off the release of their new album, Always With Me, comes to Houston to perform live. $28 and up. 8pm.
  • Rolling Stones Tribute at Post Houston – The Downtown gathering spot’s rooftop becomes the stage for Satisfaction: The International Rolling Stones Show, a global act that keeps the Rolling Stones music alive. You can’t always get what you want, but this concert will help make sure you get what you need. $20 and up. 8pm to 10pm.

  • Fish Fry Friday Buffet at Moody Gardens Golf Course’s Pelican Grille – This first of several weekly fish fry dinners offers delicious bites like fried fish, mac and cheese supreme, hush puppies, and more, served alongside beautiful views of the water. $21; $15 for ages 11 and under. 5pm to 7pm.
  • Love You to Death at Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE – This annual art show tackles the themes of love and loss in all its forms, seen through a variety of media. The show includes complimentary beverages from City Orchard, Bad Astronaut, Equal Parts Brewery and Eureka Heights, as well as the studio’s own love potion cocktail, along with wine options. A food truck vendor will be onsite. 7pm.
  • Mardi Gras Masquerade Party at House of Blues – Laissez les bon temps rouler in the Downtown club’s exclusive Foundation Room, where you’ll enjoy live music, drinks and more at this festive party. Masks optional. Reservations required. 8pm to 1am.
  • Hannah Wants DJ Set at Bauhaus – The British house music DJ comes to Houston, spinning her signature eclectic sound, guaranteed to make you get up and dance. Give her an H-Town welcome in her Bauhaus debut. $15 and up. 10pm.
  • Laidback Luke: Lunar New Year at Noto Houston – The Dutch Filipino DJ and music producer who’s worked with artists such as David Guetta, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and more brings his show to East End. $10 and up. 10pm.
  • Eli Young Band in Concert at Mardi Gras! Galveston – Get ready to party as Texas’ very own Eli Young Band, famous for their chart-topping hit “Crazy Girl,” takes the stage to wrap up the headlining concert series at the 113th Mardi Gras!   • Galentine’s Day Texas Bonita Market at the Esplanade at Navigation | No Cover – Grab the chicas in your life for a special Galentine’s market at the Second Ward esplanade, featuring more than 65 women-owned businesses, plus music, photo ops, and more. 11am to 4pm.
  • LAMARdi Gras at Chapman & Kirby – The EaDo nightlife spot channels the streets of the French Quarter with an abundance of beads, an action-packed live music lineup, a delicious Crescent City-inspired menu—from The Warwick, Chapman & Kirby and Southern Jerks—specialty cocktails—Spiced Hurricanes, Nola 75s and Sazerac—and more. $10 and up. Noon to 6pm.
  • Eureka Heights Queso Bowl at Eureka Heights Brewing Co. | FREE – This fourth annual competition sees teams from across the surrounding neighborhood vying to be the head cheese. If you just want to taste the spoils, then simply show up for this no-cover event. 1pm to 5pm.
  • Hops for Hope 2024 at Southern Star Brewing Company – The Conroe brewery hosts a fundraiser for Community Assistance Center, complete with food trucks, live music, games and a silent auction. Proceeds will help support various programs and services to neighbors in need across Montgomery County.$50 and up. 2pm to 5pm.
  • Chocolate Pairing at Texas Leaguer Brewing Company – The Missouri City brewery hosts its 6th annual event featuring 6 pairings of chocolate with beer, plus giveaways, prizes and live music. $35. 5pm.
  • Tapas on the Trails at Houston Arboretum & Nature Center – Enjoy tasty Italian tapas and perfectly paired wine and beer at this evening event that also features a romantic walk through the forest along softly lit trails. Each guest will experience five food and beverage stations and take home a commemorative glass. $110. 5pm to 7pm.
  • Sweetheart Cruise on the Colonel Paddlewheel Boat at Moody Gardens – Bring a date to Moody Gardens for a romantic buffet dinner cruise with breathtaking views of Galveston’s Offatts Bayou, just in time for Valentine’s Day.   • Comedian Willie Barcena at House of Blues – The comic comes to Downtown for a night of hilarious, sharp-witted, irreverent comedy—spanning family, religion, race, sex, politics, and whatever else you aren’t supposed to talk about. $29.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Boys Don’t Cry at Numbers Nightclub – The iconic Montrose nightclub celebrates 13 years of this group that pays tribute to the Cure. $25. 9pm to 2am.
  • Lunar Dance Festival 6 at Warehouse Live Midtown – Flosstradamus returns to Houston for another edition of the annual EDM Lunar New Year celebration. $15 and up. 10pm.

Sunday, February 11, 2024 

  • Drag Brunch at El Big Bad | No Cover – Alexyeus D. Paris, Teresa LaRue and a slate of other queens come to Downtown for a Tex-Mex brunch set to fabulous performances. 11am.
  • Super Chili Bowl Cookoff at Bobcat Teddy’s Ice House – The Heights ice house on White Oak hosts a Super Bowl watch party, and you can pre-game with this chili cook-off before the first kick. $20. 11am to 2pm.
  • Lunar New Year Market at M-K-T | FREE – The Heights shopping and dining hub hosts a celebration with a lion and dragon parade, red envelopes for all, free beer for the adults, and a local vendor market, plus a plant swap. 11am to 5pm.
  • The Big Game with the Niner Nation at Social Beer Garden | No Cover – Fan groups for the San Francisco 49ers gather at the outdoor patio of the Midtown beer garden to cheer on their squad on the 20-foot screen. 2pm to 11pm.
  • Puppy Bowl at Axelrad | FREE – The neon beer garden in Midtown hosts Catie’s Foster Farm for a puppy adoption event, as well as dog-friendly mocktails and other pup-friendly vendors, with the Big Game screening through the night. 3pm to 7pm.
  • Super Bowl Watch Party at Pier 6 Seafood & Oyster House – Catch the big game on Pier 6’s patio in San Leon, featuring big screens, coastal views, drink specials and a featured menu. Enjoy 50-cent chilled oysters during game time, $16-$20 beer buckets, $6 specialty frozens and more. Kick-off at 5:30pm.
