This is a chance to support local businesses while enjoying the delicious, diverse flavors of Latin America. Prices and hours vary.
  • Comedian Rosebud Baker at White Oak Music Hall | Tuesday & Wednesday – After releasing her first hour-long special, Whiskey Fists, the stand-up comedian, actor and writer brings her insights on everything from relationships to her love of dogs over humans, for a back-to-back performance at White Oak. $30 and up. 7pm.
  • Comedian Carlos Mencia at Houston Improv | Thursday to Sunday – The comedian, known for a blend of comedy that touches on politics, race relations, Latin American culture and more, comes to Houston for a long weekend of performances. $50 for 2, and up. Times vary.
  • Chelbe Dinner Experience at Privé Chelbe | Friday & Saturday – The team behind The Woodlands’ upcoming new restaurant Chelbe bring a chef-crafted Omakase dinner experience to a Woodlands estate, with courses paired with wine and cocktails. $299 and up. 6pm.
  • Comedian Will Burkart at Riot Comedy Club | Friday & Saturday – The LA-based comedian is one to watch as he rolls through the Montrose upstairs stage as part of a national tour, bringing with him his particular brand of observations and laughs. $20 and up. Times vary.

  • Trivia Tuesday: Olympics Edition at Post Houston | FREE – Hit up the food hall of Post Houston for a Tuesday night trivia session, this time testing your knowledge on the Olympic Games. Scan the QR codes found on screens throughout to get started. 6pm to 8pm.
  • The Struts in Concert at House of Blues – The glam rockers from across the pond come ready to deliver catchy hooks and high-powered rock and roll, joined by Barns Courtney. $32.50 and up. 7pm.
  • Queen Karaoke at Pearl Bar – The weekly singalong series return with Nyxx Laraye leading would-be singers in rounds of karaoke at the Washington Avenue lesbian bar. 9pm.

  • National Tequila Day at El Big Bad | No Cover – Armed with a vast selection of infused tequilas, the Downtown bar celebrates the day with early-open specials with $1 margaritas from 1pm to 2pm, then DJ Richard Floor, a Grupo de Teatro Indigo performance, tequila samples, and more. 1pm to midnight.
  • Drink & Think General Trivia at Little Woodrow’s Heights | No Cover – The Heights outpost of Little Woodrow’s on White Oak hosts a night of general trivia, where you can flex your knowledge while sipping craft brews and cocktails. 7pm.
  • Comedian Alfred Robles at Houston Improv – Tickets are moving fast for the touring comedian known for his skilled crowd work, multiple appearances across Stand Up Revolution on Comedy Central, and opening sets across the world for Gabriel Iglesias. $50 for 2, and up. 9:45pm.

  • Sunset Bingo at Levy Park – Daub your way to winning across eight games in a night of fun and prizes. Anyone can play, but those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. $10. 6pm.
  • Friends of River Oaks Theatre presents Monty Python & the Holy Grail at MATCH – This quote-a-long version of the comedy cult classic includes wild pre-film fun, including music and costume contests. Then, enjoy the madcap medieval adventure of King Arthur and his squire recruiting knights for an unforgettable quest. $17. 7pm.
  • Peso Pluma in Concert at Toyota Center – The Mexican superstar and Grammy Award winner brings his innovative touch on regional Mexican music to the Downtown arena while touring his newest release, Éxodo. $99 and up. 8pm.
  • Late Night with Ler & Lionel at The Secret Group – Comedians Ler and Lionel from the comedy podcast, Late Night With Ler And Lionel, offer their unfiltered take on sex, relationships and everything in between. $30 and up. 8pm to 10pm.
  • Cosmic Comedy Show at Bad Astronaut Brewing – The Northside brewery hosts a night of comedy hosted by Kate Vance, and featuring the comic talents of Trumaine Mahone, Grady Pruitt, Tressa Eleby, and Connor Carter. $15. 9pm.
  • Ghengar DJ Set at Stereo Live – The house music DJ and record producer comes to the West Houston night spot for an evening of music. With songs like “Final Boss” and “War,” the Arizona native is known for his signature heavy and aggressive sound. $14.99. 10pm.

  • Summer Beer Olympics at SpindleTap Brewery – The North Houston brewery puts on a series of party games where you and your athletic beer-drinking buddies can compete. $20 per person; $80 per team. 10am to 3pm.
  • Camp Loggerbier at Equal Parts Brewing | FREE – Hit up the Second Ward brewery to celebrate the new lager release of Lil Smoky, crafted in collaboration with Khói Barbecue and in three variants, including wild berry, lemongrass and rosehip. Rowdy’s BBQ will also be on hand for campy eats like s’mores, bbq mac and cheese, and more. Noon.
  • Summer Forever: Pig Roast Party Time at 8th Wonder Brewery | No Cover – The EaDo brewery welcomes everyone to this afternoon bash with Blood Bros BBQ roasting a whole pig in the backyard, plus outdoor games, tunes by DJ L.A., and specials on Beach Break Coastal Cannabis all day. 2pm to 8pm.
  • Pretty Darn Small: A Tiny Art, Art Show at The Hardy & Nance Studios | FREE – The annual exhibition returns to the near Downtown art gallery, featuring works that are 4 inches or smaller. 5pm to 9pm.
  • Beats on the Beach at Moody Gardens’ Palm Beach – Take a dip at the Moody Gardens lazy river while you enjoy live music and a spectacular fireworks display to cap off the night. $15 and up. 5:30pm to 9pm.
  • Neon Night Out: Adults Only at Children’s Museum Houston – Come out and relive your childhood as the museum transforms into an ’80s-themed playground for ages 21 and up. Put on your best retro attire for an evening filled with throwback tunes, light bites, and cocktails. $60. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Summer Nights at Museum of Fine Arts, Houston – The museum’s popular evening event ends for the summer with one last after-hours look at current exhibitions, plus curator talks, live music and specials at both museum restaurants. $40; includes one complimentary drink. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Challenge the Pros: Esports Event at Social Beer Garden HTX – The Midtown beer garden hosts pro gamers of Headshot Posse for a night of 1v1 matches on the challenger’s game of choice—Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Apex Legends, or Rocket League. Matches are livestreamed to the Beer Garden’s huge outdoor LED screen for everyone to watch. No cover for ages 21 and up; $10 for ages 18 to 20. 7pm to 11pm.
  • Keoki DJ Set at Numbers Nightclub– The iconic superstar DJ comes to the landmark Montrose dance room for a live set. Cover at the door. 9pm.
  • Drinking Game Show at The Coronation Theater – This one-of-a-kind comedy extravaganza in Second Ward combines improv, stand-up, and beer pong. Local comics and improvisers go head-to-head with special beer pong house rules and beer from Equal Parts Brewery. $10. 9:30pm.

  • Plants & Pints Market at Bad Astronaut Brewing | No Cover – A curated market of more than 30 vendors sets up at the Northside brewery, offering plants, candles, art, handmade artisanal products and more. Noon to 5pm.
  • July Shadow Alley Market at Wormwood & Vine | No Cover – This outdoor market in the East End features a slate of local vendors, food and drink, tarot and medium readings and curated tunes by “The Crypt” DJs. 4pm to 9pm.
  • Lego Night at North Shepherd Brewing–Houston Toy Museum hosts its Lego Night with eight different sets to choose from. Select one, purchase a brew and build along with Lego enthusiasts. $14.99 and up. 4pm.
  • Open D&D Theme Night at Betelgeuse Betelgeuse– Get your game on as BarHaven, a D&D gaming community, sets up at the Montrose night spot. Bring friends or join others on D&D quests. $15. 6pm to 10pm.
