  • 3rd Annual Hometown Holidays & Trail of Lights at Silver Sycamore | Starts Thursday, December 16 – Take a stroll through Silver Sycamore’s third edition of Hometown Holidays & Trail of Lights celebration in Pasadena. The festival will have a magical walking trail of lights, Santa Claus, live performances, shopping and more across eight days, with different themes each night. Tickets are $14 in advance. 6pm to 9pm daily.
  • Christmas Cookie & Wine Pairing at Decant Urban Winery | Thursday, December 16 & Friday, December 17 – Just in case Santa may want some wine with his cookies this year, take part in a cookie and wine pairing at Decant Urban Winery. This Heights winery is offering a flight of 4 wines in combination with different types of cookies. $35. 6pm to 8pm.
  • Santa’s Big Feast at 8th Wonder Brewery | Saturday, December 18 & Sunday, December 19 | No Cover – EaDo’s 8th Wonder brings in the holidays with a 2-day food festival featuring over 20 vendors from around the world and some local favorites. Wear your stretchy pants to taste all the global flavors at one place. Saturday noon to 10pm; Sunday noon to 8pm.

  • Burger & Wax Tuesdays at Trez Art & Wine Bar | No Cover – Take the elevated approach to burger night at Trez Art and Wine near Washington Ave. Try the restaurant’s juicy half-pound beef patty and pair it with a glass of wine or a specialty cocktail. Reservations are not required, but highly recommended. 7pm to 10pm.
  • The Moth at Warehouse Live – See the art of storytelling unfold when performers hop on stage to share a five-minute personal story based around a pre-set theme. This month’s theme is wisdom. $15. 7pm.
  • Tacos & Trivia at True Anomaly Brewing | No Cover – If you’re looking for a new trivia night to dominate, try EaDo’s True Anomaly on Tuesday nights. The 4-round trivia session ends with a you-bet-it-all final jeopardy question. After the game, grab some tacos from El Abrijes Oaxacan Streetfood, who will be on-site. 7:30pm.

  • Cookie Decorating Class at Ingenious Brewing Company – Humble’s Ingenious Brewing Company can cure your sweet tooth with a holiday cookie decorating class hosted by Baking Up a Storm Bakery. Each guest will create five different cookies in an hour-long session and receive one free drink from the brewery. $30. 6pm.
  • Von Hindenburg in Concert at the Concert Pub North – Led Zeppelin tribute band, Von Hindenburg, will take you on the “Stairway to Heaven” with their homage to the ‘70s band in North Houston. Tickets start at $15. 7pm.
  • Kaitlin Butts in Concert at McGonigel’s Mucky Duck | Virtual Option – Country musician Kaitlin Butts travels to Houston for a show at Upper Kirby’s McGonigel’s Mucky Duck. Tickets start at $30. Virtual livestream option is available. 7pm.
  • Ugly Sweater Party & Christmas Karaoke at Lucky Dog Sports Bar | No Cover – Dust off your ugly Christmas sweater and make your way to Spring for Lucky Dog’s festive Friday event. Get in the spirit in your Christmas garb and sing your favorite holiday tunes. 8pm.
  • Serve! at Warehouse Live – Watch as your drag favorites like Adore Delano, Jujubee, Honey Davenport and more light up the stage at EaDo’s Warehouse Live. $65 in advance; $75 day of show. 8pm.
  • Texas Flood in Concert at Dosey Doe: the Big Barn – In the Woodlands, this blues band pays homage to Stevie Ray Vaughan and other legendary songwriters with a show in the Big Barn. $18 to $28. 8:30pm.
  • Laughs with Jeff Joe at Sable Gate Winery – Local comedian Jeff Joe teams up with an all-star comedy line up for a night of laughs at Sable Gate Winery in Midtown. This month’s show will feature Anthonie Perla, Joseph Romero and De De T. $15. 9pm.
  • DJ Dillon Francis at Sekai Night & Day – Los Angeles EDM DJ and producer, Dillon Francis, makes his Sekai debut for a Friday night show. Local DJ Jeremy Nite will support the show. $35; VIP tables with bottle service, cabana, day beds, couches, and more are available for reservation. 10pm.

  • Chili Cook-Off at Little Woodrow’s Midtown | No Cover – Show off your best chili recipe at Little Woodrow’s Midtown location. Prizes will be given out to first, second and third place winners. 10am to 6pm.
  • International Food Fest at the Zone | FREE – If you’re hungry, head to Southwest Houston’s the Zone for the International Food Fest. Thirty vendors from around the world come together to provide Houstonians with the tastiest delights from their respective countries. Free with advance RSVP; $5 at the door. Noon to 6pm.
  • Houston Holiday Food & Games Festival at Sports Creek | No Cover – Sports Creek in EaDo is throwing a Holiday Festival featuring jumbo games, delicious food trucks, a full bar and an opportunity to take a photo with Santa himself. Noon to 8pm.
  • BLCK Market presents A BLCK Christmas Holiday Market at Buffalo Soldiers National Museum – BLCK Market hosts their third annual Holiday Market—and final market of the year. BLCK Market features Black businesses and entrepreneurs to provide an opportunity to showcase quality products to tens of thousands of customers. Limited free admissions are available; $5 after that. 1pm to 5pm.
  • Holiday Jazz Picnic featuring Tianna Hall at a Secret Downtown Houston Park – Don’t miss out on Bayou City Picnic’s final event of the year. Guests will enjoy the gourmet picnic baskets with charcuterie or sandwiches as well as a warm blanket for snuggles. Jazz artist Tianna Hall accompanies the night with Christmas and swing hits. Event location will be emailed after tickets are purchased. $90, with add-on options for three or four people, wine, flowers, extra snacks, and more. 4:30pm to 6pm.
  • Island of Misfit Toys Christmas Celebration at La Granja Disco y Cantina – The LGBTQ+ friendly organization, Houston Bears hosts their annual holiday party in Northwest Houston’s La Granja Disco y Cantina. Come dressed as your favorite character from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Island of Misfit Toys. There will be food and a White Elephant gift exchange. $30. 6pm to 9pm.
  • Feel the Beat Karaoke at Molly’s Pub | No Cover – Take your karaoke night up a notch at Molly’s Pub in the Westchase District on Saturday nights. Bring your friends and make your karaoke debut. 9:30pm.

Sunday, December 19, 2021 

  • The Holiday Brunch! Mixer and Market at Pitch 25 | FREE – The Brunch! is back with another seasonal market at EaDo’s Pitch 25, just in time for the gift-giving season. Throw on your best ugly Christmas sweater to shop local vendors, take photos with Santa, take a goat yoga class and enjoy drinks and live music. Admission to the market is free, but goat yoga is $5. 11am to 4:30pm.
  • Bellaire Open Air Market at Evelyn’s Park | FREE – HTX Market moves their Last Sunday market to the week before Christmas, so you can get your last-minute holiday shopping done. Buy holiday gifts and goodies from local vendors and grab a bite from Betsy’s located in Evelyn’s Park. Noon to 4pm.
  • Snowcial Art & Gift Market at Social Beer Garden | No Cover – Social Beer Garden is bringing the snow to Houston with their holiday art and gift market. Shop from local vendors while the snow machine makes you feel like you’re in a winter wonderland. 3pm to 8pm.
  • H-Town Sneaker Summit at NRG Center – The ultimate shoe collectors event is back for another summit. Buy, sell, trade and browse some of the most rare and collectible footwear and accessories. General admission starts at $35. 3pm to 8pm.
  • The Gumbeaux Jam at Playground Houston – Spend your Sunday tasting some of the best gumbo vendors from around the state at Playground Houston in Midtown. Free tickets are available until 4pm and come with one gumbo sample and a free drink. After 4pm, entry is $20 and comes with three gumbo samples and a drink. 3pm to 9pm.
