Neiman Marcus hosts an opening reception for Kimono Zulu, a fashion exhibition inside the store that features reimagined vintage kimonos turned into wearable art by notable local artists and creatives.

A creative exploration led by Tina Zulu, Kimono Zulu is a fashion brand that draws upon the rich history of traditional Japanese attire, mainly the kimono, and its influence on other cultures throughout Asia and the West.

Participating artists include Sebastien “Mr.D 1987” Boileau & Romain Froquet, Emilie Duval, Jennifer Gabiola, Gonzo247, Selven O’Keef Jarmon, Magpies & Peacocks, Judy Masliyah, Shelbi Nicole, Soi-k, and Rohan Whyte.

A special celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, Kimono Zulu will be on display at Neiman Marcus from Wednesday, May 1 to Friday, May 31, 2024
