Head Downtown for games, food, drinks, music and live entertainment during A Night at Market Square on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

A Night at Market Square welcomes Houstonians and visitors to enjoy an evening exploring the Historic District in celebration of Market Square Park’s fifth anniversary.

Peruse the surrounding areas to catch live music at Batanga and The Honeymoon, a free burlesque performance at Prohibition Supper Club and downtown living tours from Heritage Texas Properties.

Grab a bite to eat or do a little shopping on the 300 block of Main Street where food and fashion trucks will be stationed for Market on Main.

The park itself will have activities in the Saint Arnold Game Garden, a DJ set from the Wrestlers and art cars for viewing.

The premiere of The HOU Show with Mills and Antoine will take place in the park at 9pm. Featuring the work of comedy duo Mills-McCoin and Antoine Culbreath, this live show draws inspiration from Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show, and will even have its own house band – Houston’s own Moji.

About Market Square Park

Market Square Park is one square block located where Congress Avenue and Preston Street meet Milam and Travis Streets. The park was gifted to the city by Augustus Allen in 1854 and served as an open-air produce and fish market under the name of Congress Square at the center of the city. In 2009, the park underwent extensive renovations to restore its original role in the neighborhood and reopened to the public in 2010. Today the park offers a dog run, garden, public art and Greek food from Niko Niko’s.
