- Bored Teachers Summer 2022 Comedy Tour at Hobby Center | Monday, June 13 – The one-stop comedy platform for teachers around the world can be seen across social media with hilarious skits and familiar classroom frustrations, but now you can catch them live on tour on Monday night at Hobby Center in Downtown. $35 and up. 8pm.
- Father’s Day Bourbon Whiskey Flight Special at Blossom Hotel Houston | Monday, June 13 to Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19 – All week long, you can bring Pops to the brand new luxury hotel near the Museum District for a flight of three Bourbons—Eagle Rare, Willet Bourbon and Bulleit Rye—plus a charcuterie board to pair. Father’s Day specials are also available for booking. Flights are $32. Noon to 9pm.
- Backstreet Boys in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Tuesday, June 14 – The Woodlands plays host to the best-selling boy band of the ’90s, Backstreet Boys, who amassed countless No. 1 hits and well over 100 million albums sold. $39 and up, but you may find cheaper, better, or hard-to-find tickets on the online resale market. 7:30pm.
- Disney’s The Little Mermaid Live in Concert at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion | Thursday, June 16 – Head “Under the Sea” when Houston Symphony performs live to the classic animated Disney film, The Little Mermaid, at the outdoor venue in the Woodlands. $25 and up. 7:30pm.
- After Dark: Roaring ’20s at Houston Zoo | Friday, June 17 – Stepping back in time to the decade that the Houston Zoo was formed (1922), the Zoo will be transforming into a 1920s-style speakeasy, featuring a live dueling piano show, a photo booth, food and drinks, and more. $39; includes one free drink. 6pm to 9pm.
- Houston Astros vs. Chicago White Sox at Minute Maid Park | Friday, June 17 to Sunday, June 19 – All weekend long, the first 10,000 fans will have a shot at Minute Maid giveaways, including an Alex Bregman jersey on Friday, a Ryan Pressly bobblehead on Saturday, and an Astros duffel bag on Sunday afternoon. $33 and up, but you may find cheaper, better, or hard-to-find tickets on the online resale market. - Juneteenth Celebration at Children’s Museum Houston | Saturday, June 18 – Gather for an afternoon to celebrate Juneteenth in the Museum District. Hear about the life and leadership of Harriet Tubman, get interactive with a djembe drumming session, hear a children’s tale about diversity and inclusion from author Jatrean Sanders, snap a pic with Black Panther, and more. $15 for ages 1 and up. 10am to 1pm.
- The Big Show at Lawndale Art & Performance Center | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – Featuring only artists practicing within 100 miles of Lawndale, the Big Show returns to the Museum District, offering one of Houston’s signature art events of the year. 11am to 5pm.
- Pride Art Show 2022 at Hardy & Nance Studios | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – The near-Downtown art studio unveils its 2022 Pride Show which brings together members of all communities to use their art as a positive form of expression against discrimination and violence. 5pm to 9pm.
- David Lee Murphy, with Texas Hill at Miller Outdoor Theatre | Saturday, June 18 | FREE – The “Dust on the Bottle” country artist arrives in Houston on the No Zip Code tour, joined by the Craig Wayne Boyd-led Texas Hill. 8:30pm.
- Juneteenth Celebration at Emancipation Park | Saturday, June 18 & Juneteenth, Sunday, June 19 | FREE – In celebration of the 150th Juneteenth at Emancipation Park, these two days of festivities will include live music, food vendors, an interactive kid’s zone, and feature live performances by the Isley Brothers, Kool and the Gang, Sheila E., and more. 4pm to 10pm.
- Trolls Live! at NRG Arena | Saturday, June 18 & Sunday, June 19 – Get ready for a hair-raising live tour when kiddos’ favorite characters from Trolls come to Houston, featuring Poppy, Branch, Cooper, and more in the colorful world of Trolls village for a performance with music, glitter, humor and happiness. $19 and up. - Man Cave Market at Railway Heights | Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19 | No Cover – For the first time, the Washington Ave marketplace north of I-10 hosts a Man Cave Market, featuring unique trinkets, gadgets and gifts for dad, along with live music and food. 4pm to 9pm.
- Houston Symphony presents The Music of Whitney Houston at Hobby Center | Sunday, June 19 – Rashidra Scott’s powerful vocals join the mix as the Houston Symphony performs some of the biggest hits of pop diva Whitney Houston’s storied career, including “Saving All My Love,” “How Will I Know?” and “I Will Always Love You.” $34 and up. 7:30pm.
- Comedian Bobcat Goldthwait at the Secret Group | Sunday, June 19 – For decades, the gruff-voiced comedian has made audiences laugh with roles in movies like Police Academy, as a director for Chapelle’s Show and Community, and in his stand-up specials. He’ll come to EaDo for one Sunday evening set. Tickets are $15 in advance; $20 day of show. 8pm.
